14 CHAPTER 14: BEAST HUNTER
Taylor and Edward stood at the outer region of the Silver forest. Rosewood Village and several other villages are located on the outskirts of the Silver forest. Which acts as a food supply for all the surrounding villages unless you get in deep where level 10 beast resides.
'The beasts here are about level 2, as said by Trion.'
"So what is our plan boss. "
Asked Edward. He came here because Taylor asked him to and he knew Taylor already have a plan.
"We will become beast hunters"
Announced Taylor.
But these words were out of Edward's scope so he was bewildered by what Taylor said. He knew what the beast hunter is. This is one of the professions Trion said about. But not the popular profession. Since you can't make your living by hunting beast and selling their parts alone. And it will be hard because you have to live in a life or death situation always.
"Boss. It sounds cool. But If we become Knight or adventurers or something else, we can get a lot of money and develop fast. According to Trion, if we develop enough reputation in town we can even become Baron and lord over land."
told, Edward.
Taylor just smirked at it and said,
" Use your mind fatty. How long the village will be with troubles, with 5000 people to help. Even if 1000 people died and get penalties, there are 4000 people. Once the village runs out of the quest, they all have to move towards town."
" and to enter the town, you have to cross this forest. Even though there is a safer route for merchants to travel, that also faces the assault of beasts. Those merchants have level 10 mercenaries employed for a safe trip. However, people from Nova can't afford mercenaries so they won't be able to leave in that path until they reach level 10"
" and if everyone wants to reach level 10, they have to fight the beasts in the forest for experience points to level up. But outer regions only consist of beasts from level 2 to level 5. After that, they have to enter the inner region. Where danger lurks everywhere. So they have no way but to brave the danger. "

That too only two mid-level healing potion was available. Which was also bought by us. Remaining is only a low-level potion"
Edward realized without money they can't buy potion, they now bought potions, which costs 20 low healing potions 600 coppers and 2 mid healing potion 400 coppers. Upon which Taylor paid a silver coin. So once the money runs out, they are locked.
With no money no potion, with no potion no money.
Since they can't fight without potions. So they need to do a quest. But soon the quest will run-out. Then they have to fight for the quest.
' It's like job recession '
Without a job, no money.
No money, no food.
No food, you won't even have the energy to search for a job.
It a never-ending cycle.
Taylor said again looking at Edward,
" What I'm saying is for us to be a step ahead. Even though low-level beasts part sells for a lower value. And we will struggle at the start. But if we hunt the level 10 beast with magic crystal that will be left by it. Won't we be rich, we can drown in money by killing the beast when we become powerful."
"The main thing is its not game, It won't give you experience point for finishing a quest, we will only get money. Only by killing can we become powerful."
"When we reach level 10, we can become mercenaries and accept Adventure Guild's mission. Bounty hunt.
Lots of options are there. "
"And finally there will be lots of people who think the same strategy as me and be ahead of us. "

After eating the bread they bought from the village store, they prepared for the hunt.
'Since I became level 2, I got 5 stats points that I didn't use. I will use it now'
Making his decision Taylor mumbled,

Then he added the 5 points into strength.

Finishing his preparation Taylor looked toward Edward who is also looking at him. Then they walked toward the forest.
"Now only I feel full boss. So that rabbit about my hip height is the fire rabbit Trion talked about. "
said Edward as they saw a lone big red rabbit at a bush outside the forest.
"Yep. Come let's go and kill it"
saying that Taylor walked toward the rabbit clenching his spear harder. (No double meaning)
Edward followed behind him.
When the rabbit that was munching some red-coloured vegetable like carrot sensed their approach, it shrieked at them, a warning.
Nevertheless, the warning of the rabbit was like shouting in deaf man's ears to them, they completely ignored it. There wasn't a slight change in their pace.
However, Edward the hero believing that a level 2 beast would be an easy kill for someone at the same level as him. Gaining unprecedented confidence he moved before Taylor and attacked it with the twin daggers that were belted on him. But to his surprise, the rabbit hit him with fire. Yep, the rabbit shot fire bullet from its mouth all of a sudden.
The fired bullet hit in Edward's left arm.
Falling back on the ground Edward yelled,
" I kept only 10% pain level. So why does this attack pains so much? It's burning. Ahhhhhh"
Looking at the rolling Edward,
Taylor thought,
'Thank god. It should have been me. I should be more careful of this world. Today a valuable lesson '
Again Edward yelling could be heard,
"Damn Rabbit. Half of my health bar is gone. "
Taylor became even more alert,
'Just 2 hits and you are KO'
Thinking that he said,
"Fatty you get back. I will fight it"
Then Taylor took a step forward, becoming alert the rabbit again bolted out fireball towards Taylor. But already prepared for the surprise attack, he rolled to his left side. And in a half-kneeling position, he stretched his hands behind him as much as he can, in perfect throwing motion like a javelin thrower Taylor threw the spear aiming at the rabbit's mouth. The spear cut air and pierced right into its mouth and carried it in the air piercing halfway into the tree behind it.

appeared notification before Taylor's eyes.
"Wow, perfect throw, Boss. 10 out of 10"
Said Edward watching the whole thing from the back.
Then they walked to the rabbit and as Taylor removed his spear the rabbit body fell on the ground.
"Boss. I will solo the next rabbit. "
said Edward feeling pumped up.
"But before that, we have to handle the carcass first"
said Taylor looked at the dead rabbit.
"Don't worry boss. I'm trained in this"
Saying that Edward started to dismantle the rabbit neatly,
part by part.
Taylor thought,
'Does your family train you on this too'
His wild imagination is cut down by a large roar of an unidentified beast from within the forest.
