1 Prologue

Darkness, it was all I could see. I don't really know how long I've been here, as a little ball of light, doing nothing, in the middle of nothing, seeing nothing and feeling nothing.

You may be asking yourself about who am I and why I'm here, well, I can answer your first question with no problems, they call me Leo, short for Leonardo, 24 years old and I'm from Brazil, as a lieutenant in the brazilian army forces, the last thing I could remember was a that I was in a gunfight against some bandits in a slum of Rio de Janeiro. Now, the most obvious explanation would be that I somehow died and this is some sort of afterlife, which is hard to believe as an atheist to be honest, but what I really want to know is, is this it? that's it? no God or Demon to say something or to explain why I'm here?

After waiting for a long time, maybe months or years, or maybe after 10 minutes? 1 hour? sigh, it's really hard to pin point time in the middle of nothing, wait, is Time even a thing in here? but after some time, something absurd happened, I started feeling something, my body was feeling pain. The reason why I'm so shocked is that I didn't have a body, I was just a small ball of light but now not only I have a feeling of a body, I'm feeling pain as well, what's going on!?

Select my race? What, is this a game? is there a God making fun of me? hmm, you see, one of the things I learned in the military is how to adapt to any situation, no matter how odd it is, this is a perfect example, my mind wants to panic but I force myself to focus on the screen in front of me.

I recognize every race listed, I did have my fair share of RPG when I was a teenager, the thing is, isn't "Demon" a pretty subjective race, I mean, it could be so many different things. What happens if I choose one of those? if I have to choose one, it's probably going to be either a human or an elf, human is a pretty generic race after all, weak but versatile and elf was my favorite race, there's nothing better than an Archer Elf or maybe even a Druid. The question is, what if I choose Elf, what's gonna happen? I'm still a little confused here... Well, let's see, I'm going to select Elf...

hmm, let's ignore that "both" option, shall we? after I click on Male, another screen pops up

Select your Elf talent

Sword, Daggers, Bow, Staff, Nature, Life, Earth, Water

Interesting, it's saying "Elf" talent, maybe if I choose another race I get different talent options? that would make sense. Well, I'm gonna choose "Bow", you can't have an elf and choose something else, it's all about finesse. Damn, this is so nostalgic... I click on the option, wondering what's going to be the next selection.

Suddenly, a pain shoot through my body, it's so strong that I start losing consciousness.
