Across the multiverse in a random world a certain vampire looked up at the sky and had thoughts that no one could comprehend.

Roman: (flicking his cigar) Do you have any idea how hard it is to find a Dust shop open this late?
(*One of the henchman points his gun at the shopkeeper.*)
Shopkeep/Mc/Lilac: Indeed, Dust Until Dawn is the only dust shop that I know of that opens this late. So, are you here for the lien or dust?
Roman: We're not here for the money. We are here for the dust. Grab the Dust.
Henchman 1: Crystal. Burn. Uncut.
Lilac: What do you expect. (*eyebrows raised*)
(*Lilac goes back to working*)
Roman: What are you doing?
(*Lilac unfazed by the gun pointed at his head continues to work*)
Lilac: Obviously I am working, I need the money and doing something helps to keep my mind off of random thoughts.
Roman: As long as we get our dust, you can work all you want.

Henchman 2: Alright kid, put your hands where I can seem'em... Hey, I said hands in the air! You got a death wish or something!?
(*Grabs Ruby and turns her around, dropping her hood to show a surprised Ruby wearing headphones and so he motions for her to take them off.*)
Ruby: Yes?
Henchman 2: I said, put your hands in the air, now! (*Clearly annoyed tone*)
Ruby: Are you... robbing me?
Henchman 2: (*sigh*) OF COURSE MOTHER FUCKING YES!
Ruby: (*Oo0*) Oooooohhh...

While waiting for the men to finish the heist, Romans hears yelling and then a henchman fly past him. Roman than calmly motions for other henchmen to deal with Ruby
Henchman 1: Freeze!
Ruby and the henchman crash through the window. The other men look outside as Ruby gets up and unfolds Crescent Rose into its scythe form. Roman scowls, but Ruby smiles back at them before twirling the weapon around, striking it into the ground and turning off her headphones.
Roman: Okay... Get her!
The henchmen head out of the shop and run at Ruby, who spins around on top of her scythe and kicks the first approaching criminal in the face. She gets Crescent Rose out of the ground and fires it off to hit another one with the butt of her weapon, sending him flying. She fires again and brings the side down on one attacker and dodges the next gunfire with her rifle's speed, getting close enough to knock him into the air and follow him upwards so she can beat him away to Roman's feet.
Roman: You were worth every cent. Truly, you were. Well, Red, I think we can all it's been an eventful evening, and as much as I'd love to stick around... I'm afraid this is where we part ways.
Roman unleashes a red blast at Ruby, who fires at the ground and leaps over it. When she lands and looks up, Roman isn't there, and is climbing up a ladder on a nearby building.
Ruby: You okay if I go after him?
Lilac: "Mm. I'll be up there too in a few minutes. He did rob my current working place after all. Feel free to go."

Ruby: Hey!
Roman: Persistent...
Ruby gets ready to fight him, but a getaway Bullhead rises up and opens the hatch to allow Roman inside.
Roman: End of the line, Red.
Throws a red dust gem at Ruby's feet and fires at it, resulting in a large explosion.
Roman: Whoa-ho-ho-ho... Huh?
A woman in a purple cape is now in front of Ruby, casting a circle of protection over them with her wand. As Ruby looks on, Glynda Goodwitch waves her weapon and summons several streaks of purple at the craft. Roman is thrown around in the back until he gets to the cockpit, where a woman in a red dress, face unseen, struggles with the controls.
Roman: We got a Huntress!
The woman gets up and heads toward the back as Roman takes controls. Glynda glows purple for a moment and aims another blast above the craft, resulting in a dark storm-cloud right over the jet.
With a flick of her wand, large jagged hail starts falling that pummels the jet and even breaks through the window, narrowly missing Roman's head. Who barely avoids it by using antagonist plot armor.
The woman clad in red reaches the back and her arms and chest light up like fire, aiming a burst of energy at Glynda. The Huntress blocks it, but the flame splatters behind her and glows hot with the enemy's raised hands. Glynda back-flips out of the explosion, which destroys part of the roof, and magically gathers the shards to create a large arrow, which she throws at the craft. The fiery woman shatters the arrow with several blast, but it reforms just in time to hit the side of the jet due to Roman's quick aerial lean. The wreckage separates and reshapes into more arrows that encircle the jet, but the woman summons several glowing rings around her that expanded and destroyed the shards.
Ruby, finally acting, reverts her scythe into its rifle form to fire at the woman, who blocks each shot and creates several blazing circles around her two opponents. Glynda telekinetically pushes Ruby and before she even rolls herself out of the way, someone blocks the attack and that person is the shopkeeper Lilac, wielding a double headed white colored lance, engraved on the lance is a bunch of symbols on it, but in no way does the symbols hinder his movements. There is also a black katana strapped to his left hip while a holster for automatic pistol on his right hip.
Lilac: "I apologize if I am late to the battle."
Before Lilac could attack the Bullhead it flew away.
Lilac: *Tch*

Now Lilac and Ruby are seated at a table in a dark room. Ruby with a look of shame while Lilac with his same hold expressionless face.

Glynda moves out of the way to allow a man in green come through the door way, holding a mug and a plate of cookies.
Ozpin: Ruby Rose... You... have silver eyes.
Ruby: Uh, um...
Ozpin: So! Where do you learn to do this?
Gesturing to a tablet showing Ruby fighting.
Ruby: S-Signal Academy.
Ozpin: So, they taught you to use one of the most dangerous weapons ever designed?
Ruby: Well, one teacher in particular.
Ozpin: I see...
Puts cookie on the table in front of Ruby and she carefully picks up one and eats it in a single bite. She than shovels the rest in her mouth, looking very similar to how a squirrel eats.
Lilac upon seeing this, smiled ever so slightly and his eyes flashed with sadness before disappearing. Glynda who was watching him ever since he got here, naturally did not miss this and was confused, but quickly put this matter to the back of her head.
Ozpin: It's just that I've only seen one other scythe-wielder of that skill before. A dusty, old crow...
Ruby: Oh! That's my Uncle Qrow.
Ozpin: I've noticed. And what is a cute girl such as yourself doing at a school designed to train warriors.
Ruby: Well... I want to be a Huntress.
Ozpin: You want to slay monsters?
Ruby: Yeah! Only two more years left at Signal, and then I'm going to apply to Beacon! You see, my sister's starting there this year and she's trying to become a Huntress, and I'm trying to become a Huntress because I want to help people. My parents always taught us to help others. I mean the police are alright, but Huntsmen and Huntresses are just so much more romantic and exciting and cool and really, gosh, you know!
Upon hearing that Lilac was reminded of someone whom he hated but quickly dispelled that anger. 'That was the past and now is the present. But mark my words mother I will come and find you again. And if He interferes, then I will kill him.'
Glynda and Ozpin missed this because they were studying Ruby.
Ozpin: Anyways. Lilac Otsutsuki. 15. Orphan, came to Vale two years ago to look for a stable job and ended up working at Dust Till Dawn, that was robbed recently. You also seem to possess extraordinary combat abilities and seem to hate everyone who abuses Faunus.
Points at his scroll that shows Lilac completely decimating a group of 12 people that were harassing a bunny Faunus, a couple of days ago.
Ozpin: You put all of them in a hospital with severe injuries and they were determined to be mentally scared. So, two questions. Why protect a Faunus and why when you possess such skill do you only work at a dust shop and not become a hunter.
Everyone looks at Lilac with Ruby having sparkles in her eyes from watching Lilac fight.
Lilac: Anyone who attacks a Faunus, especially a bunny type, will suffer dearly. I would've killed those 12 people if not for me being late for work. *voice brimming with hate* The second question. I have fought for a long time and I wish to leave that life behind...
Ruby looks a little shocked from Lilac saying he would kill them, but then her eyes soften at him saying that he had fought for too long and wondered what his story was. Glynda too wondered because ever since she met him earlier, she felt this sort of connection. It was strange. While Ozpin just smiled and nodded, his thoughts were unknown.
Ozpin: Anyways, Do you guys know who I am?
Ruby: You're Professor Ozpin. Headmaster at Beacon.
Ozpin: Hello.
Ruby: Nice to meet you.
Lilac: Indeed, nice to meet you. And you too Glynda Goodwitch.
When Lilac said hello to her too, she couldn't help but smile gently and return the greeting.
Ozpin: You want to come to my school, Ruby?
Ruby: More than anything!
Ozpin exchanged glances with Glynda who wasn't paying attention and was still smiling gently at Lilac. *Ahem* Glynda blushed a little and then looked at Ozpin and then looked away with a *Hmphed*
Ozpin: Well, okay. Welcome to Beacon.
Ruby was jumping up and down at this excited and she also turned to Lilac and started to hug him who was shocked and couldn't move. It was only till a little later that Ruby noticed that Lilac was trembling so she let go of him and started to apologize rapidly.
Lilac: It- It is okay. *Was still shocked. *
Glynda couldn't help, but feel a little jealous and then started to berate herself for acting like a school girl fallen in love.
Ozpin: What about you Lilac? I know you don't want to fight anymore, but if you come to Beacon, I will pay you a salary as long as you join the hunters in training. Your skills are extremely rare and you could even use the money to fund your hobbies.
Lilac: YES!
Lilac was excited. He didn't care if he has to fight anymore, he was running low on funds to support his hobby so he needed money desperately and was starting to think on him starting to pick up the killing arts again. And to think Ozpin would find out about his hobbies. He made sure to cover all tracks, but somehow Ozpin found out. He would have to have a chat with this man later about privacy.
Ozpin couldn't help but get a shiver down his spine for no reason.
Glynda on the other hand couldn't help, but glare a bit at Lilac. As long as he didn't use that money for sexually purposes then she was fine. After he was a student now and being in beacon allowed her to see- *cough* educated this young man because he obviously seemed like the guy to not know a lot and would then require private tutoring from her. *cough*
Ruby though was more than happy to meet someone and already considered him a friend. Her first in Beacon. Well not yet in Beacon, but a friend is still a friend. And she didn't get to see his weapons that well earlier, but with the single glance that she managed to get she could tell that his weapons were of the highest qualities *insert chibi Ruby drooling over weapons*
Ozpin: Well, I once again welcome you guys to Beacon *smile*

AN: Obviously a harem. Also, obviously Glynda needs some love so here we go. Also the attraction to mc is really fast, as in some characters I'm doing fall in love in first sight to show that they don't care about mc personality or strength or looks and just loves mc as a person, even if he ends up missing half of his body. (Not a spoiler, just as a saying)
