"H-Huh?" The heroic woman stared blankly at the scene. She could not process what was going on anymore and just stared like a dumb idiot. She did not even hear the childish but mature voice talking to her. If Ryu did not go in front of her, who knows, she might stand there silly all day!

"Oi... You listening to me, Onee-chan?" said Ryu seriously, but it could only be described as cute.

"Eh?" Her eyes moved again to Ryu but it was the only thing that her mouth could muster. It would be a lie if she will say that she's not scared, a big fat lie, actually.

Thud!

Her legs trembled as she went on her knees. Her eyes looked directly into Ryu's, tears threatening to fall. This was the only time she was shocked and scared so badly in her life. Compared to when she was being chased earlier, the despair was even greater this time.

"Oi... Are you okay?!" Ryu asked in a startled tone. The heroic woman was quite tall, she was only half a head shorter than Ryu even when she kneeled. He immediately rushed to support her and check if there was anything wrong with her body. This was the first time Ryu saw a crying woman, and it was clearly different from those kids who were crying because they were spanked or their parents did not buy them what they wanted.

After a minute, Ryu eventually got up to look at her but what he saw puzzled him. The woman had tears running down her cheeks, but there was also a smile on her lips. Those eyes clearly showed the relief and happiness in it.

Earlier, she was still dazed from the fear and shocked, she only managed to react when she went on her knees. She watched as the boy checked her body for injuries, and she saw the concern and loss in his face. It looked funny and very cute.

"Sorry, little boy, I am okay. You don't need to worry. I am Kohaku Kaede, what's your name?" she initiated the conversation seeing the young boy also staring at him weirdly. She slowly stood up and patted her clothes. She was pretty.

"Uchiha Ryu." Ryu returned to his indifferent attitude.

"Ryu-chan, huh? Thank you for saving my life," Kaede said sincerely. And seeing that the boy was not interested in talking, she could only initiate the talking. "So you are from the famed Uchiha clan, why have I never heard of you before? Although I don't know much about your clan, I know that you are a genius seeing that you mastered the sharingan at your age. A genius is not quite the word, uhm.. monster would be very much befitting!" she said with a curiously glow in her eyes.

The uchiha clan was famed throughout the world, but there hasn't been a single one known to be able to awaken their sharingan, much less master it in his age. And those famous Uchiha's were already famous just by awakening it at the age of 8-10.

"Is that so?" was the only answer she received.

"Not just your sharingan, I have never seen anyone with stronger power and ninjutsu than you. Just what are you?!" She raised her voice as she spoke. She was nervous throughout, but she did not show it and still asked those questions bravely. She only hoped that the boy would not kill her.

"Human." Ryu looked at her as if she was an idiot. Is she seriously asking what I am? He turned around and walked without even looking back at the dumb woman named Kae.

"Wa-wait! Where are you going?!" It was the first time she received such gaze, and from a kid! She run as he followed him, quite angry from that stare.

"Hey! Where are you going?" Kaede asked repeatedly.

"Stop following me." Ryu was annoyed.

"I would stop if you simply answer me!" she was also annoyed. How could a kid act like he was so mature and sounded like talking would kill him?!

"Tsk! I am not following you, I am just going in that direction!.. sigh.." she retorted angrily before sighing. "Anyway, that way is to the battlefield. Are you really going there?" Kaede now looked serious.

The battlefield is very cruel, bloody, and that was a place where kids were nlt supposed to go to.

"Hehe, I have killed more people than you think. And this is also not the first time I came to the warfield." Ryu answered with a chuckle. If it was a months ago, he would certainly be a little scared to come here.

Kaede also knew she was just asking a pointless and obvious question.

"Why? Why would tou want to go there?" there was a hint of frustration and sadness in her voice. How wonderful would it be if there were no fightings or wars at all.

She could imagine the child infront of her shining brightly among the croud with his talent.

"I heard there was a powerful group there who are trying to stop the war. I am very interested in them." Ryu answered casually.

"Powerful group?" hearing those words, she immediately went into a deep thought. She have never heard something about a powerful group even after 5 months in here.

Could it be a newly created one? If that was really the case, then them being powerful was no doubt since they were able to stand strong. Not just powerful, they should have huge guts to try and stop the war.

"What are you planning to do after you meet them? Could it be that you want to join them?" she asked seriously.

"Something like that..." was the answer she got.

There was a possibility that the group were allied to the enemy side. Them appearing here could also prove that.

Countless thoughts again filled her mind. If this little monster really join them... thinking of the possibilities was already unthinkable at this point. Even a dumb person would understand that a child at his age that was already so powerful was a problem.

'What should I do? If that really happened, then the village is screwed in the future. Future? That's right, the future! Is there even a future if you did not exist anymore? Kill!' as she thought about it, killing was the best solution there is.

In war power was number one, but potential could also rank higher than power.

'Even if he was really powerful, he is just a child. Killing him in this distance would not be hard at all.' Kaede's eyes glinted as she hid her killing intent.

'What?! What was I thinking?! Was I really thinking on killing this child?! Furthermore, a child that saved my life?! What's wrong with me?!'

Just as she was lost in thought, a voice suddenly jolted her back to her senses.

"Congratulations, you passed the test. You are now qualified to join me in creating the most powerful organization in this world. Would you like to join me?" Ryu said with a slight smile.

As foe Kaede, she was still kneeling on the ground, but her back was now wet because of all those sweat. She looked at the red eyes that was shining ominously. The only thing on her mind now was..

'Genjutsu?!'
