11 Safe House?

"Noah, tell me how that magic works?" Tanya said.

Noah seriously looked at her and said, "As I said before, I cannot have that blasphemy here, Tanya-chan. Forget it, as I am never going to tell you."

Tanya heating him clenched her teeth. 'Dammit! I have to find how this magic works; I cannot let this chance of becoming a man again slip off.'

As the whole bus continued its journey in silence because of the demonstration of the 'New Beginning' by Noah, no one spoke.

Or that they were scared to say a thing. Who knows when Noah will decide to kill them too.

Takashi group kept glancing in his direction from time to time; annoyed by their glances, Noah asked, "What's the problem? Where are you guys staring here from time to time? I know I am handsome, but please don't fall in love with me as I am just a passerby—a legend."

Everyone was looking at him with speechlessness. Tanya snorted, hearing him.

Saeko smiled and asked, "What you did to Shidou-sensei before, what was that?"

Everyone had the same question in their minds.

How did he change someone's gender? That should be scientifically impossible.

The only reason they didn't create a racket was because of Zombie Apocalypse—it was also impossible scientifically. And another reason being, they were afraid of him.

"Oh! You are talking about that. Well, how should I explain…hm… simple explanation would be that it is magic." Noah said.

He didn't mind telling them since he knew that the world will choose them sooner later as Hero. So, he didn't mind telling them.

"Magic?! Something like that exists?" Saya asked, startled by the sudden discovery.

Noah chuckled and points his finger outside, "You can say that same to those things outside,"

Saya hearing him looked outside the bus at the zombies.

"There are many things in this world that are beyond the comprehension of a normal human. You have not seen it; it doesn't mean that others haven't. It is just a matter of time before the whole world would know about it too. You cannot see air, but it still exists. Same with magic, it exists just that no one has ever seen it." Noah said.

Takashi group contemplated his words and nodded in understanding.

"Can we also learn it, magic?" Rei asked.

If they could learn magic, then it would boost their strength a lot.

Seeing how zombies have greater physical strength than them, it was not wrong to think that if they didn't find a method to take care of them, then sooner or later, the whole world will be finished. Since they or humanity didn't have enough hands or unlimited resources to take care of them.

Noah made a thinking face hearing her.

'Teaching them magic is not wrong, but I cannot teach them my world's magic as it is way too advance, but I can tell them the basics and let them develop it.'

"I can teach you the basics or fundamentals; you will have to develop it your own."

Hearing Noah, others nodded and were grateful to him. Even the fundamentals were enough if they can salvage this situation.

"Are you sure?" Tanya asked.

"It's alright. The world will choose exceptional individuals soon and grant them the ability to use magic. I am just fasting progress." Noah said.

Since he knew that they would be chosen sooner or later, he didn't mind teaching them first.

Tanya nodded. She didn't mind particularly. Since they were trapped in this world until Noah could use the cube again, she thought if Noah were to teach them, then she can live a laid back life here. She will stay behind, and everyone else would do the work for her.

'It is not bad~' Tanya mused to herself, happily.

As they continued their journey, they come to know the harsh truth that their world was already destroyed.

Bodies were littered everywhere. Though most of them were walking dead.

Some people had lost their sanity and has gone mad. They didn't care whether they were killing zombies or humans; all that matter to them was their survival.

They even met people who would rape in the open without any shame. The world has fallen, and this was the result.

Throughout the whole journey, Noah and Tanya looked at all of this with apathetic eyes.

They have seen these things before and had more understanding of the world than the kids present. For both of them, it was a kill or to be killed scenario.

Humans will always put their lives above others. Heroes that sacrifice their lives for someone only exist in stories. Everyone has certain self-interest. Putting your life above others is logical and not selfish.

Helping others just because you have power is bullshit. Of course, you can help those who are in front of you; if you can help, but going your way to help others? That was definitely not the mindset of both Noah and Tanya.

"Where are we going, sensei?" Takashi asked Shizuka.

Shizuka made a thinking face as she said, "Eto~, my friend's house is quite close, we can spend the night there," she said.

"Friend's house? Do you have the key? Not that it matters anyway." Saya said and looked out of the window.

"I have it! We are really close friends; she is usually not home, so she gave me the key to her house. I would go there to get some fresh air." Shizuka said.

Other hearing her nodded.

As darkness approaches, they reached the bridge that was blocked by the police. People rush to another side of the bridge, trying to enter the safe area.

"Idiots. Even now, they think that they need someone else protection." Noah said.

He knew that they had families to protect but making a racket when zombies are attracted to noise was plain stupid.

"We have to walk from here~," Shizuka said.

Other hearing her nodded as they readied themselves to leave the bus. The students that came with Shidou didn't leave with them but decided to join the other side of the bridge that was, for now, under the protection of the government.

Takashi group nor Noah or Tanya stopped them.

They left the bus and went to Shizuka's friend's house.

"Say, can I try that gun?" Kohta Hirano asked as drool escaped from his lips.

Tanya frowned and distance herself from him, "Never. This is my precious toy,"

"Come on~, only for some time."

Tanya points her gun at him, "Do you want to die too?"

"Ma, ma~, calm down. Since we have free time until we reach the house, why don't I tell you more about magic and how to use it?" Noah said.

Other hearing him had their interest aroused as they looked towards him.

Noah nodded as he started to explain to them about the fundamentals of magic as they walked towards the house. The zombies that came in their way were killed by either Tanya or Saeko.

And just like that, they reached the house.

Noah looked at the house and nodded, "It is not a bad house."

"Right~," Shizuka said, cheerfully, as everyone entered the house behind her.

Night, 0100 hours.

"Hm, should I do it?" Noah said, seriously, as he looked towards the bath, from where one could hear the sound of water splashing from time to time.

"You better not or you are not coming out alive," Takashi said, getting node of approval from Kohta.

"But I am still a child, a kid. There should be nothing wrong with that!" Noah protested.

Takashi and Kohta stared at him.

"W-what?" Noah said.

"I wonder who said not to call him a kid," Takashi said.

"That was needed. It depends on the situation. If someone asked you to shout out loud that you are gay and you will get 10 million dollars, would you deny him?" Noah said.

Takashi and Kohta said at the same time, "That is a different matter!"

"Che! Scared pussies."

They had their brows twitched, "Then why don't you go and try, oh so great Noah-sama."

Coughing, Noah said, "I have changed my mind."

'Even if no one said a thing, that pipsqueak definitely will. And she is the only know that I am an adult. In the first place, why is she enjoying herself and not me?!'

"We should go back on scouting," Takashi said as he and Kohta left for the roof.

Noah sitting alone on the sofa sighed. 'What does the future hold? A mysterious cube, and according to that, Being X; it is something called Origin. I wonder what's that?'

Suddenly, he felt someone's presence behind him as two hands came from his behind and hugged him tightly.

He felt drowned in the valley of softness.

"What are you doing, Shizuka?" Noah said to Shizuka, who seemed to be in a drunken state.

"Mo~, I always wanted to hug Noah-chan. Such a cute child, how can you kill someone just like that?"

Noah kept quiet as he was enjoying the softness of her bosom.

"Hehe~, Noah-chan should sleep with Onee-san today," Shizuka said as she wrapped herself around him and went to sleep.

'Is she drunk? Well, whatever. I should sleep too. It feels fairly good here.'
