Battle!

"It seems you're looking to die." Gray said as they entered. It sounded casual but anyone would feel extremely chilled in their heart.

"Stay back, Natsu. I'll be the one handling him." Gray took a stance, ready to fight.

"Mmm.." It was surprising that he agreed. You see, Natsu have a strong battle intent and sense of rivalry, and Gray is one or the only one of his best rival and buddy. Still, he was emitting a strong killing intent, but it wasn't his own killing intent. It was the Dragon, Igneel, who is inside him. In order to stop the development of the Dragon seed, all of the Dragon Slayer have Dragons inside them. To be precise, it was their teacher of Dragon Slayer Magic who are inside them.

The Dragon seed is the seed that if it matures, the host will be able to transform into a Dragon themselves. It was proven by Acnologia, the strongest Dragon Slayer alive. But even when you transform, it would be extremely difficult to revert back to the human form. As for Jhin, it is no trouble for him as he has the system to help him, everything is given to him, like a delicacy waiting for Jhin to devour it.

Gray particles came out of Gray's mouth as he exhaled. As for Jellal, he felt his heart get cold for a second.

"Come on then. Although you're not a Dragon Slayer, I am more than happy to fight you." said Jellal casually.

"Dragon Slayer? It is true that I am indeed not a Dragon Slayer, but I happen to be a Devil Slayer. Although I only managed to unlock a little over 10 percent, it is more than enough to deal with you..." Gray shouted at the end. Suddenly, his Fairy Tail Guild Mark on his right chest distorted. Black paint-like color suddenly sprouted from his Guild Mark covering half of his body. Adding to the fact that his face was cold, it was totally evil like image.

"Devil Slayer, datto?! Impossible, that was already lost long time ago! Don't tell me..." Jellal's face turned serious when he heard the name. He also removed his blue coat and white T-shirt revealing a black skin- tight melee battle suit and his toned and muscular body.

"Actually, you should be thankful that Jhin is not here, cause if he's here, you would've died long ago." said Gray as he closed his eyes and extended both of his hand parallel to his chest, it was the stance for his Ice make magics.

"That's right, no one would be spared." a voice sounded at the back of Jellal again getting him shocked. He turned around only to see Erza standing while holding her katana.

"How could it be?!" Jellal's eyes went wide when he saw her.

"That's right, I came here to save my old friends, but I did not come alone." said Erza. Fire was burning in her eyes. She retreated towards where Natsu is.

"Enough of that, how about we start already. Ice Make: Devil Lance!" Shouted Gray as a pink magic circle appeared in his hands, multiple pink lances was shot with high speed towards Jellal, which of course was dodged. But he needed to jump upwards, he flipped in midair but was met with multiple pink fist made from ice from bellow.

"Ice Make: Devil's Knuckle!"

Jellal balanced his body and blocked the attack but was instead again sent flying in the air. He again heard Gray's voice which made him shiver.

"Ice Make: Devil's Canon!" A big canon materialized on Gray's shoulder. He locked on to Jellal and immediately fired it.

Baaaaannnnggggg!

A pink flashed towards Jellal and exploded.

"Bwaak!" Jellal staggered on the floor and spat a mouthful of blood. His body was full of bruises, especially his hands which he used

"You..! Gray Fullbuster... I wanted to see your power before I destroyed you. but it seems I have to admit that underestimated you too much. Thanks to my Heavenly Magic, I managed to block that attack of yours. It seems that I have to get serious... Meteor!" Shouted Jellal as he floated, yellow light surrounded his body. He flew towards Gray with fast speed sending a punch.

Gray as he barely managed to dodge the punch. But another fist went to his face followed by many fast consecutive punches which made Gray a little dizzy.

Yellow Flash could be seen everywhere as Natsu, Happy, and Erza watched them fight. Gray was hit many times but he still endured.

"It's over. Time for you to have a glimpse of real destructive power. Grand Chariot!" Jellal shouted while still floating, His right eye again changed to the form when he imprisoned Erza with the sphere. He placed both hands on top of each other, with the top hand having only the index and middle fingers spread out. Seven Magic seals were summoned in front of him and connected together and made what appears to be a constellation, the Ursa Major. Each Magic seal released a powerful light blast down towards Gray.

Jellal did not notice but Gray's lips moved.

Banggg!

It caused a big bang causing dust and the floor particles get blasted covering everyone's view.

"Gray!"

"Gray!"

Happy and Erza simultaneously shouted with a voice full of worry and anger. As for Natsu, he just stood there with his arms crossed like someone watching a good show. But his face still showed a trace of worry.

"This magic is comparable in power to an actual meteor. It seems that I overdid it a little." said Jellal and landed on the ground. But he suddenly sensed a strong danger coming towards him, but it was too late.

"Ice Devil's Rage!"

A large purple blizzard of cold air and pink ice appeared before his eyes, Jellal could only cross his arms in order to alleviate a little more damage but it was still a little strong.

Baaaaannnnggggggg!!

A large hole was blasted out of the tower and Jellal was sent flying outside the Tower. He could only close his eyes and feel get pulled by the gravity...

"Ice Mace: Reverse Grappling Hook!" He was supposed to fall down to but was again attacked. Jellal felt a sharp pain enter his right shoulder and another one from his left part of the stomach. He opened his eyes due to the extreme pain only to see two thin long ices connected to his body, holding him in order to not fall.

A second later, he again felt a sharp pain. He felt that he was getting pulled. Jallal screamed in agony and thought that he would better die from the fall than to be tortured like this, it was truly painful. But the only thing he could do was shut his eyes and scream. When he felt that he was again kneeling on the ground, he opened his eyes and saw a man and a woman charging towards him.

He saw with blurry eyes that the man mas holding an ice sword while the woman was holding a katana. He again closed his eyes as he reminisced about a certain red head young lady. When they survived as a slave from that environment. He suddenly smile, it was a genuine smile.

He suddenly felt freed from his obsession, he opened his eyes to look at the red head woman rushing towards him with teary eyes and smiled... it was a silly smile that a young honest boy would possess. He again closed his eyes, smiling while waiting for his death.

Clang! But what he expected never happened. He was instead jolted by the metal clang that sounded in front of him. Jellal slowly opened his eyes and looked at what happened in front of him. But what he saw made him stare wide eyed. It was Erza, blocking the Gray's ice sword with her own. Jellal could see the her staring at Gray's eyes, her eyes were teary, she was pleading.

"Please, Gray.." said Erza with a soft voice. Gray could feel and see from her eyes the begging emotions coming from her. She looked really haggard and pitiful. Looking at her, Gray's eyes which was icy cold instantly vanish. He smile and left.

"Natsu, Happy! Let's go!" shouted Gray as they left the destroyed room. They still have another issue to handle, the Etherion must be stopped!

...

Meanwhile, at the council.

"Impossible! How could I be defeated! Zeref whispered... Zeref... " muttered 'Seigrain' while his body is slowly vanishing.

"How?! tchh.. I need to get out of here!" Ultear, who was on the corner secretly thought.

"Fairy Tail! Just you wait. Jellal? What a useless piece of trash." she murmured with hate and disappeared withing the council. Her plan was already destroyed, no need to stay anymore.

"Cancel the Etherion! It's a trap! Hurry!" shouted an old man. It was Yajima! He already felt that something was amiss since the beginning and he suspected jellal already. It's just that he lacked evidence to prove his suspicion.

"Nani?! Ultear, Stop the preparation immediately!" shouted the old man with white beard, but he did not hear any response.

"Ultear and Seigrain are on the same side. She just escaped. Just hurry up an cancel the Etherion. We have a meeting to conduct." said Yajima Seriously.

All of the council members turned silent. If words get out that this happened, then it would be an embarrassment. The council was infiltrated, that's got to be the greatest joke of the year, right?

While they were talking, an image suddenly appeared on the air. It was a photo of the tower and the fairy tail guild at the top of the tower. Projected in front of the tower was huge words on fire, "SToP THe eTherIoN".

Looking at the projection, all of them heaved a sigh of relief. Now, they owe Fairy Tail a favor.
