The Quirk and how it works

I woke up, confused, very confused. I had no idea what just happened, but I knew one thing for sure. He definitely just said he rewarded me with a quirk that can copy all other quirks! Even though I was confident for the UA exam, I still had a hope for a quirk, any quirk because any quirk is better than no quirk. And so, even though I would usually lay it off as an unusual dream. I had to try this 'Copy' quirk! I just.. had a gut feeling that it could be true, maybe.. just maybe...

But before that, of course I had to eat breakfast, I took a quick shower and put on some new clothes, but of course another red shirt and red shorts, because why not? I expectantly walked outside, I watched as people walked past, thinking how my 'Copy' quirk would work (if it does exist that is). My first thought was contact, because that's just obvious right?

But I obviously couldn't go ask someone, "hey let me touch you as an experiment for my quirk," I mean - I really don't want to get arrested for sexual harassment. So of course! The answer is sexual harass them in secret, wait that's not right. The answer is to touch them in secret, it really didn't make a difference.

Anyway, I looked at the people walking past, some people who looked completely normal, they probably had Emitter-type quirks, Transformation-type quirks, or were quirkless. However there were people with different 'body features': monkey tails, long noses, even a person with an extra arm on his back! These quirks all looked useful, but there were too many variables. Is there a drawback to copying a quirk? Is there a limited amount of quirks I can hold, can I hold multiple in the first place? Can I copy mutant type quirks, if so, would my body change too? Just too many questions.

I knew however, the only way to answer was to just do it! I didn't know if I got the knowledge of the quirk I got however, so I went to a stranger, and simply asked, "What's your quirk?" and of course they shouted, "Go away!" I stood there, embarrassed, I had no idea what to do, with all these people staring at me. So, I did what was natural! Run away! But I bumped into someone and knew it was the chance for me to copy a quirk! I wished for it to copy and then-

My mind flooded with information of this person's quirk. It felt natural, no pain, it felt almost comfortable. I looked back at the person, the man didn't seem to notice his quirk being copied, he only looked at me with a scowl on his face for bumping into me, he gave me the middle finger, but I could care less right now! I was surprised with the quirk, it wasn't bad at all! Actually it was pretty good!

Quirk: Burning Gaze

Type: Emitter

Ability: The user can increase the temperature of anything the user stares/looks at.

- The user can instantly reverse the effects of the quirk, returning the item back to its original temperature

- There is no limit to how much the user can increase an object's temperature

- The increase in temperature will be gradual

Drawback(s): The quirk deactivates when the user blinks

- The user must be able to look at the target for the quirk to work

- When the quirk is activated, it also increases the temperature of the user's eyes

Special Ability/Attack: Searing Stare

- The user makes the quirk go into overdrive, increasing the temperature of anything the user looks at instantaneously

- The user can virtually burn holes into objects

- The user is blinded for a day after using the Searing Stare

Other:

- The user sees in heat vision

- The user has a very acute sense of temperature and can tell what temperature the environment is

I was really excited to try my new Burning Gaze quirk, but I was even more excited to copy more quirks, (if I could)! Now I knew, it activated on contact but only when I willed it! But I couldn't try this quirk without a hero license, well I could if I was a vigilante or villain. But no thank you! I am a law-abiding citizen, the copy quirk doesn't count since I didn't know it was real. I also had to register my copy quirk and think of a name, as a quirk called 'Copy' definitely exists but it probably wouldn't be as broken as my quirk, I doubt a quirk of my level exists in the world! And so...

I ran all the way to the Quirk Registry Office, huffing as I trotted through the door with a slight spring to my step. I waited in line for about 15 minutes, quirks are constantly being registered, so it is quite busy, but there are multiple lines, so it's all good. I had an idea in mind, after thinking for quite a while, i had a name for my quirk; for the quirk that can copy all other quirks: Imitation!

But I knew I couldn't say that I can copy quirks because I'd probably get hunted down or something. So I just said I can copy a quirk I touch for an unknown amount of time, 'as it's recently awakened I don't know'. And of course the receptionist took the bait thinking there is undiscovered limitations which I doubt there is, as it's a gift from God. THE God.
