Many members of Hirimb's clan had perished over the years. The clan was more of a small family now, with eleven surviving members. They had been living in the Himalayan region for decades, moving from one dwelling to the next every year to prevent clashing with other clans. They began camping in this area last year, eating whatever animal carcass or dead plants they could find, sleeping under the sheets of snow as their bodies did not feel the cold. Water was essential to their survival; so they lit fires from time to time to break the ice into liquid as well as to provide some light on the cold, wintry nights. They would even boil some stew from time to time if they found enough raw ingredients as they were doing right now.
