Vidyut and Surya joined their palms once again and migrated back to the snowy wastes of the north. But, there was something that they left behind, in that rock strewn empty cave, all the guiltless moments when Vidyut had not yet told Surya what he desired. Now the words were spoken, and the eyes were suspicious. Vidyut needed Surya by his side if he meant to overthrow King Darshaman of the north.

There was no other way to get around the subject; so, Vidyut spoke frankly. All he risked was Surya rejecting his proposal and severing all ties with him, and Vidyut was always prepared for that eventuality. If that happened, he would find other allies. He was a powerful tantric with a keen eye for people. He would find men who despised the king in the north and who would be ready to rally behind him when the time came.
