1 Nelion Dragonborn

"Long ago, when demons drove humanity to near extinction..., four mages collected all the strength of humanity and concentrated it at a single focus point. Together, with the support of the angels, they wiped the demons off from the face of the earth. Thereafter, the alliance of the humans and the angels was considered the strongest in the world and together they established peace. The four heroes were awarded the title 'Legendary Sages' and their triumph became renowned through generations." said the teacher.

"Now, the title 'Sage' is given to the top 4 strongest mages of the Legend rank, that is, the highest mage rank. The Legend rank is followed by the Saint rank, Royal mage rank, High mage rank, Senior mage rank, Intermediate mage rank, Junior mage rank and finally, the Trainee rank. Now in one month you are all going to join the test for your selection in the Trainee rank. I wish you all, all the best." he continued, as the students heard the ringing of the school bell in a distance. As the teacher began to take his leave, the silence in the class was replaced by Voices of murmuring and giggling. A boy called Nelion, wearing black robes, a full sleeved black shirt, black boots, black pants with a huge silver buckler that had a blue gem embedded on it, short sky blue hairs in a flame pattern, which were bound by a hachigane, was spoken to by another boy sitting beside him, " Well Nelion, bet you aren't even excited about the test! Well, who can blame you!? Everyone knows that you are the strongest among all of us! HaHaHaHa!!!" Nelion paid no mind to his words. He gazed constantly towards a girl sitting in the lower level. "Poor girl, God knows what will happen to her! Her magic reserves are so incredibly low that she can't even use magic at all. Even if she is the highest scorer in theory, we all know that she will never become a mage." said the boy sitting beside him. Yet again, Nelion ignored him and stared at the shabby looking girl with unmade hair and a cheap white dress. Nelion gave a pounding look at Raizellia and thought to himself, "Obviously..., She is the strongest one among all of us. If only she knew how to use magic..., What could possibly be holding her back?" A while later, the students began to leave the classroom as well. While leaving, Nelion overheard a little conversation between two students who were walking  ahead of him, "Have you heard the news!? The Old Dungeon Diving Dwarf is retiring." said the first kid. "Seriously? Why now?" asked the other kid. "Don't know. He said that he was too old to continue." said the first kid. "Don't Dwarfs live about eight hundred years or so? He has only been a mage for about five years now." enquired the other. "Yeah, it's very strange. Either way, the alliance has lost a very important pillar. He used to rank as the 94th strongest mage in the world. Not only that, he used to be the teacher of the Northern Sage. "Do you think that he started off at a very old age?" Asked the first kid. "Can't say for sure. No one has ever seen his face. He usually always wears a mask." replied the other. Suddenly, a loud shout was heard, "BOW!!!" said the voice. As Nelion turned around, he saw a girl pushing Res(Raizellia) down to the ground. "KNOW YOUR PLACE! YOU INSOLENT LITTLE MUTT!!! SOMEONE LIKE YOU DOESN'T EVEN DESERVE TO LIVE!!!" the girl shouted at Res. The girl was surrounded by many students who looked like her supporters. Nelion looked at the girl with a very disappointed as well as bored expression in his eyes. Then he sighed and started walking up to her. On noticing him approaching towards her, the girl said, "Now, what do YOU want? Don't tell me that a prodigy like you is here to save someone who can't even cast a simple 'Move' spell." Res was laying on the ground with her head slightly above ground, staring at it with a submissive expression. Nelion took a quick glance at her, then turned his gaze back at the girl. "You know what?... You are right. I mean... I can't stand those people who can't even cast a basic spell like 'Ricochet'... ten times in a row." replied Nelion. The girl clenched her fist furiously. Res' expression shifted to astonishment. "But Nelion, 'Ricochet' might be basic in nature, but it is highly tolling and even senior mages can only cast it two to three times in a single day." said one of the girl's supporters. Nelion paid no mind to his words and stared at the girl in the eye with a very calm and cold expression. Everyone else started murmuring among themselves. "You don't think she is gonna fight him, do you?." said a voice. "Not sure. She might rank just below him in class but there is a huge difference between rank one and rank two." said another voice. "Are you kidding me? Nelion can literally go on a rampage and kill every single student in the school! Only a teacher might even have a shot at stoping him. Fighting him head on one on one is almost as good as writing your own name on the Death Note." said a new voice. On this note, the girl lost a little of her determination and the confident look on her face. "Let's go," she said to her followers, "there is no point in staying here any longer." she continued as she began to leave the site of the incident and made the entire crowd silent. Soon after, the crowd began to leave and follow their normal behaviour as well.Res continued to stare at the ground for a little while longer, while Nelion continued to look at her. Some of the bypassers occasionally looked at them. Eventually, Res got up and started assembling her belongings. Finally, Nelion walked up to her. He stood in front of her eyes. Res looked at him for a while, but then continued on for a while without noticing him. Nelion sighed, bent down, and stared helping Res. Res looked back at him but this time, with a timid expression. "Nelion Dragonborn" said Nelion. "Huh?" said Res with a confused as well as worried expression. "Nelion Dragonborn" said Nelion, as he handed her belongings back to her which were now assembled correctly. "Umm..., Raizellia" said Res. Nelion sighed, "I will call you Res, as your name is too long." said Nelion as he got up and started leaving. As the two moved out out of the school campus, Nelion started heading to the right direction, towards the great forests. Res looked at Nelion, then looked at the city and towards the orphanage in which she lived. Then back at Nelion, and then back at the city. She did this a couple of times, then finally stared heading towards the city, but then decided to look back at Nelion one last time. She found him looking back at her, as if he was waiting for her. Astonished, Res almost cried, but holding it in, she ran towards Nelion as fast as she could. Nelion, continued walking on ahead, expression less as usual.
