12 Plans

"So I was thinking we could do some side by side baby pictures on a slideshow." Clay says as we plan the ceremony.

"But I don't have baby pictures." I tell him.

"Sure you do! Eric gave me a photo album your parents kept... I thought you knew about it." He responds.

"No... I didn't." I say looking down at the book he placed on front of me. My hands shake as I flip open the book.

"That's Bray... your poppa right after he met your momma. He was so happy. She was older than him you know. Almost rejected him thinking he was to immature. Its amazing how things work out. He marked her first chance he got and you came along not long after." Clay tells me and I smile at the photo. Poppa has a bigger smile than I have ever seen on anyone. I slowly turn the page.

"And there you are. You were born here your poppa was 18 when he met your momma 19 when you were born. He didn't go to Moon lake pack until he was proven when he was 20. He was scared to death to be a father. Even more so when he found out you were a girl. You were his little princess." He sighs. They are in the hospital and I'm just a bundle of blankets in momma's arms. Poppa has his arms around her looking at me with so much love my heart breaks. I turn the page and Clay gasps.

"I didn't realize anyone took pictures of you two!" Clay says looking excited. I look at the photo. It is of two babies one is crawling the other standing tall looking down at the smaller baby handing it a block.

"Who are they?" I ask him and he laughs.

"This is definitely going in the slide show! The little one crawling and reaching for the toy is you. The handsome young man playing with you is Alic... this had to be right before Brayden moved out." I see a tear roll down his cheek. "You would have been nearly one Alic two... right before I lost him... can I get a copy of this?"

"Yea... of course... what do you mean lost him?" I ask.

"I thought he was dead from the time he was two until he was seven... you've seen the scars on his chest... he's been through alot. You should ask him." Clay tells me.

"How about we look at Alic's pictures now?" I ask trying to move things along. I'm really not good with the emotional stuff. Clay nods and pulls out another book.

"You were blond!" I yell at Alic as he joins us in our planning.

"Ummm... yea I was... how did you...?" He starts to ask and I hold up the album with his pictures in it.

"Seriously Dad!" He yells at Clay who just laughs.

"Come on! There's one I want you to see." I tell him and flip through my book. "It's us!" Alic looks down at baby us.

"Seriously?" He smiles at me. "I guess I liked my mate even then... I wasn't one to share my toys." He laughs.

"Now that is true." Clay says bringing in two buckets of chicken for dinner. "He also didn't know how to clean... he still doesn't you should see his room!"

"Dad please!" Alic begs.

"Hay she should know what she's getting into." Clay shrugs.

"He will learn if he expects to share a room with me." I tell them smirking at my mate. Clay starts to laugh.

"I will keep the house spotless if that will make you happy." Alic tells me wrapping me in a hug from behind.

"I'll hold you to that." I respond looking up at him with a smile and he kisses my nose.

"I promise." He whispers.

"Alright you two." Clay says and we both look at him. "Do you want to do the first dance thing or less traditional... we can skip it if you want." Clay looks sad at the idea of us not doing every sappy step of this ceremony and reception.

"We can do it." I say then look up at Alic. "But I don't know how to dance." I mumble.

"Its no big deal." He says spinning me so I'm facing him. "You just sway to the music." He puts my arms around his neck then places his hands on my hips moving them to the beat in his head. He steps forward and I step back. Then he steps back and I step forward. "You're a natural." He grins pulling me closer and leaning down so his head is by my neck. He lightly kisses me as we sway to the nonexistent music.

"Ahem... so what song?" Clay asks and we step apart my cheeks red.

"Love is not a fight by Warren Barfield... it has more meaning than those sappy songs most people choose." Alic says. I don't know much music so I'll just go with it.

"Okay... well I think we're set now... in one week we will have the ceremony." Clay says. I smile at Alic.

"I can't wait." I tell him and he smiles back at me giving me another hug.

"Me either." He says before kissing me.
