1 Red in the Rain

Drip, Drop.

Drip, Drop.

The sounds of the raindrops falling on her red umbrella were the only thing she could hear as she walked down the busy street. As usual, it was late at night in the streets of London and Wang Yu Xia's umbrella was drenched with rainwater. Her eyes which seemed devoid of life were fixed ahead as she walked slowly, and yet even in the rain our main character walked, and walked, and walked aimlessly until she arrived at a dark alley.

As she turned on to the alley, her soulless eyes witnessed the beginning of the end to her life.

In the alley were a man and a woman, of which one of them was a victim and the other the aggressor. Yes, the woman was being robbed. Robbed of the one thing a woman should never be robbed of.

The man was smiling-- a terrifying smile, and as Wang Yu Xia witnessed this terrible sight, she dropped her umbrella. Hearing this noise, the man seemed to have noticed her presence. Her eyes suddenly grew large as she tried to do what anyone in her position would have done.

Run.

The man of course never gave it a thought to chase after Wang Yu Xia who had just witnessed his crime, he was more interested in the woman before him.

And he wasn't the one to cause the abrupt end to her life either.

No.

It was the truck that hit her when she ran off in the middle of the busy road in terror.

And just like that, Wang Yu Xia's life had ended.

-- Thank God.

As the truck hit Wang Yu Xia's drenched body, a horrible sound was heard and the men and women on that street turned to look, horrified at the gory scene of Wang Yu Xia's body that laid twisted on the ground.

Soon enough, a crowd had gathered, and sure enough the 26 year-old woman Wang Yu Xia, had died instantly.

The only thing less horrifying than her body at the scene was the red umbrella, which had fallen on the edge of the sidewalk, right beside her drenched, twisted body.

And thus, on that rainy day... Wang Yu Xia, our MC.... had died.
