"I like the song" her blinding smile was enough for the man infront of her to fall for her once again. "I like the women in my arms" he twirled her before once again taking her in his arms. "I like your deep eyes" she grazed the back of her index finger at the end of his eyes and again put her hand on his broad shoulder. Her long dark blue gown flowing with her steps as the both of them were lost in each other. "I like your shining eyes" He gave her a bow. 'and don't want them to look at someone else' but he couldn't say it. Her smile was enchanting. She probably haven't smiled this much till now. But she herself was not sure what the smile was for. "I like you lips" she gently carresed her finger on his thin lips that formed a straight line. Her feet moving on their own as she continued to dance and as she continued to stare at the handsome man in front of her. "I like you fingers" he said truly 'And don't want anyone's ring on your finger' A meaningful smile came on her face as she heard him. 'Your fingers are slender' the person she knew was straight forward with everyone except her. She was sure that there was a part of him that probably liked her even now when he doesn't remember anything. The man himself didn't know why he said that he liked her fingers wasn't it a little idiotic. What will this sly women will think of him now? He wanted to smack himself. He circled her waist, brought her more closer, lifted her slightly in the air and once again twirled her. She encircled her hand around his neck. "I..(her breath hitting his neck)...like...(she closed her eyes and sniffed his neck)...the gun pointed at my waist... and head...(she blowed on his ear)." Their eyes locked. Light brown against ocean blue. He knew that she knew what he was upto and same was the case with him. "I like the gun pointed at my neck" he said keeping his stoic face. Causing a full blown smile to come on her face. She neared him, brought her face more closed to him. Her nose was touching his now. Their eyes locked on each other. They looked as they were so in love with each other. The envious eyes of many people were on both of them. "Should I kill you first?" Her breath hitting his lips. Tempting him. "Have Patience" he brought her to her original position. Both of their hearts beating for each other, but sadly both of them were not aware of it. Not aware of what the future will bring for them. It was perhaps impossible for them to be together. ........... Laurain Morgan Stone, an orphan girl with a family, a beautiful ruthless killer. "URGENT need of reinforcements OVER"said the man in the hand held radio( L3 Harris multiband) still looking through the binoculars on enemy's movements.
But there wasn't any response from the headquarters.
His eyebrows furrowed in confusion,
"We are in need of reinforcements" but no response came from the other side, rage filled him as reality dawned on him and he gritted his teeth so hard.
They were abandoned,
Their own country abandoned them in front of the enemy but he couldn't understand the reason, they literally left them to die.
"Captain", a soldier asked for further orders, he turned to see his team, almost hundred soldiers waiting for his orders.
His eyes roamed around them and connected with those light brown eyes, that unknowingly gave him an emense sense of relief, the only girl in his team.
Those were the eyes that understood him without him even saying anything.
"Retreat" her small voice was heard by everyone through the bluetooth set and everyone looked at her and then at their captain waiting for further orders.
She had already tried to reach the headquarters as she had guessed the situation, but to no avail.
"RETREAT IMMEDIATELY" the soldiers heard their captain's order, for a second nobody moved but they started to retreat after a while.
David walked towards his second in command and most powerful and sensible among his other soldiers.
"Did you wear your vest?"
"I don't need it" said the brown eyed girl
"You..." he sighed and took of his bulletproof vest and gave it to her.
"I don't ne...."
he himself made her wear it and started to retreat with the other soldiers.
But they didn't knew that they were already surrounded.
Suddenly the firing started and they were caught off guard.
"OPEN A PATH CONTINUE TO RETREAT"
David ordered, as he was leading the soldiers and Laurain was at the end guarding the back side.
The area was a forest near the border of country A and country C,
full of mines and traps, the most dangerous area if it was difficult to enter the forest it was even more difficult to get out of there unscathed.
The terrorists were approaching them as they were already waiting for them to fall in their trap.
"TRAITOR" Laurain gritted out
As she continued to fire, the situation was getting chaotic.
David's only goal know was to save the life's of his team. Many soldiers were already injured as they couldn't even understand from where the bullets were coming it was as if there was a rain of bullets, adding it was night time it was really difficult, each and everyone of them was vigilant and was seeing death up close.
But they were the best team so they managed to somehow survive this bullet rain
Laurain started shooting at mines causing an explosion one after another diverting the terrorists for a few seconds, it was not easy to blow up a mine from a gunshot. Moreover it was night time. The mines will only blow up if it hits the switch on it.
The helicopters were their in which they arrived but they were almost 4-5 kilometers from their position, the forest was empty if not for their intel they wouldn't have known that there were terrorists hiding there.
The soldiers guarding the line of control mostly keep their eyes on the forest only through the binoculars, of course they wouldn't have known the terrorists hiding deep in their pits and caves.
The area after the forest was save but
"Keep hidden, walk through the bushes to the copters don't let the soldiers know you are alive and save just go don't look back...
(Laurain gritted her teeth)
IF ANYONE TRIES TO STOP YOU SEND HIM UP EVEN IF THEY ARE OUR OWN SOLDIERS"
Laurain commanded as they almost reached the end of the forest.
Laurain herself was injured a bullet just crossed from the side of her head leaving a deep gash on the right side of her face just above the ear if she hadn't moved she would be dead by know.
She knew that if she didn't stop the terrorists from advancing they all will die, well she was not afraid of dieing but she can't die know without fulfilling her promise. Also that was not the only reason of her again going back in the fire.
She had already moved inward towards the forest as she was giving them orders David did the same as he himself knew the situation.
The both of them were perfect for being the leaders.
Laurain just keeping moving forward her vigilant eyes scanning her area.
There were more than two hundred people.
Some trees caught fire due to the explosion and it was spreading very fast, causing smoke.
Going forward while hiding behind the trees and bushes she killed many terrorists
Her vest already had 3 holes.
She was hiding behind a tree when a bullet pierced her arm but there wasn't a single change in her expression. She just turned and shooted in the direction from where the bullet came from.
She kept moving
"DID You reach the chopper" davids voice came through the ear piece and she stilled.
That bastard didn't go.
There was no response
And davids face paled a little
"Co..mm...rr W..rr I.. s.a..e"
And the line went dead.
But they soon heard the noise of helicopters above.
They both sighed in relief
"BASTARD why didn't you goo"
David who was relieved again received a huge shock , he really didn't thought that laurain was still here,
Well the biggest shock was that she called him, HIM a bastard.
"You little... are you trying to run away again"
"If i get out ALIVE"
Laurain's tone was full of sarcasm.
"You should respect your leader"
"First you should make sure that you get out of her ALIVE"
They both continued their killing spree as they moved forward and towards each other.
The forest was abandoned by both the countries as there were many wild animals and the forest was really big. No one really know what lies in the forest but they took security measures by planting mines etc.
"Do you see the warehouse?"
Laurain asked as she hid behind the bushes watching the warehouse through the binoculars.
"There wasn't any intel about it"
David also came and hid himself. They completely covered themselves by lying down in the bushes.
"You're fast"
Laurain looked at david inspecting him for any injuries, thanking God that he was not injured severely.
They didn't need words to understand each other.
"I will go forward you guard the back" she said it with such intensity that no one would dare go against her.
But it was David with whom she was talking to,
"You can't order me i am the captain"
"Captain guard the back I'll be back"
Laurain started to move towards the ware house
"This area is not in our territory"
"What do you mean"
"Mean we are no longer in our territory" Laurain replied rolling her eyes.
"You, come back""
"SHUT UP"
"You are surrounded"
"GO BACK"
David didn't replied
"DAMN YOU DON'T YOU DARE COME HERE"
Laurain almost yelled,
Attracting the attention of the enemies and they immediately started firing at her.
"Damn it" laurain hid behind a tree and started to shoot the snipers first sitting on the top of the long trees.
She took down most of them down and reloaded her rifle with the last batch of bullets.
Almost 100 people were hiding in the warehouse. She was still a few kilometers away from the warehouse.
They were coming closer and closer.
Laurain checked both her hand guns taking a deep breath she came in front of almost 30 people aiming at her

and starting shooting at them without batting an eyelid and immediately hid herself behind another tree.
She then taking the shield of the old trees came behind them and started shooting. More than half of them died in a matter of few seconds. She never missed her target.
She herself got hit many times but the vest protected her. She did such a stunt knowing that she is wearing a vest.
The remaining were killed by David as he came forward.
"You were hiding" laurain stated.
"You're good"

"Ahh"
David killed the man hiding behind the tree but just as he killed him he also fired.
Laurain didn't know what happened as in a flash David came infront of her and pushed her down She didn't knew that there was a man hiding behind the tree on her right side aiming for her head.
David got shot in the chest near his heart and fell down.
Laurain blanked out. She didn't knew what happened as she just stared at David as his shirt got soaked with blood.
She crawled towards him and put his head on her lap as the both just stared at eachother.

Laurain's tears mixed with blood landed on his face. As her eyes slowly turned red, blood red, the sclera (white part of the eye) completely turned red. It looked as she was shedding tears of blood.
David knew that there was no chance of him surviving in this situation, so he decided to finally confess to her.
David was breathing difficultly, his hand moved towards her small face
"I... l..o.v...e ..y..o.u...s.o...m..u.c..h"
The twenty years old man finally confessed to the almost 16 year old girl.
"I too i love you too don't leave me alone. Ok"
Laurain said hurriedly not waiting for even a second, with child like innocence, trying to believe that he will stand up in the next second.
But the reality was far from it.
David smiled a little, his eyes shining with love and adoration.
She was for the first time crying, like a child which she was, so loudly and miserably in front of anyone.
"Please please don't leave me not y..o.u ...too" she croaked out choking on her on own tears, begging for the first time, her one hand on his face as she fixedly stared at him, and other on his chest applying pressure.
".r...e..m..e.m..b.e..r...i..w...i..ll...a..ll..w..a..y..s ...b..e ..w.i..t..h ...y..o.u"
David said looking at her face as if trying to engrave her face in his mind.
"I'll save you, you don't worry ok"
Laurain said with confidence.
"H..mm...I...b.e..l.i..e..v..e ...y..ou" tears leaking from the corners of his eyes, as he continued to caress her face.
"Hang on for a while ok, i will get you out." Laurain herself didn't know what she was saying.
"I..w..i..sh...y..ou...l.i..ve ..a..l.o..ng..h.a.p..y....l..i..f..e"
And he closed his eyes, his hand fell down to his side.
"NO NO NO don't leave me , don't leave me please please i beg you" Laurain cried as she hugged him with all her strength.
Ahhhh
Laurain shouted and cried as if she was in soo much pain, unbearable pain.
Her heart felt cold extremely cold as someone has dipped her in ice cold water.
She once again felt lonely.
Once again she felt more lonely than the dead night and more cold than the december's cold and harsh weather.
