17 Chapter 16: Aunt Genevieve...

2 days have passed and Rachel and her family were now leaving in their Aunt house, although there were house rules and also there are bunches of work need to do.

"I'm sorry for causing trouble... We just need time to get back to our feet and we will get apartment to live" Rachel's father said to their Aunt.

"It's okay, I don't mind." Aunt Genevieve said she has a son has the same age as Joe and a husband who is a bit trouble maker. Also her husband always drunk and going home late.

"This is where you both can sleep, and the next room will be yours Rachel and to your siblings. Although it's not like your house in the village so hope it's still comfy." Aunt Genevieve said.

"Don't worry aunt, it's nice and warm here" Rachel said. And aunt Genevieve hug her. "Mmm... You're so adorable Rachel. You should help me cooking." Aunt said. Rachel smiled a bit and help her making breakfast.

When their done in eating breakfast they decided went inside their room and have a family talked.

"Kids, there's something your mom and I have to tell to all of you." Rachel's dad said.

"What is it dad?" Rachel ask.

"Well, there is a good news and a bad news. Which one all of you want to know first?" Rachel's mom ask.

"Umm... Good news, I wanted to get out of here..." Cecilia said, that shush her with her father.

"Okay, here's the good news. We found another job... Since we don't have a house now you're mom and I need to find double shifts so we could find even a small apartment in the village. So we could get out of here soon." Rachel's father said.

"And the bad news dad? Joe ask.

"Well, the bad news is that... We might not go home here... I mean we need a place that is small and near to our job so that it wouldn't be a hassle for us to commute way back here and there. Meaning, all of you must stay here while all of us were working." Rachel's mom said that shocked all of them.

"What?! No mom! Don't leave us here" Rachel said.

"IF there is a way, I will glad tell that I won't leave you all here alone but... We need both to work so we could get a new apartment and for us to live there" Rachel's mom said.

"But mom..." Rachel said don't know how to stop them from leaving.

"I'm sorry Rach, but this is the only way for us to get a new home" Rachel's mom said.

"Don't worry kids, once everything is settled we will get you all away from here okay? For now, let's just put up with it first. Okay?" Her father said so without a choice all of them nodded to their parents.

Tomorrow came and their parents bade farewell at them and when it happen they left them crying although Rachel wasn't crying but sad and disappointed. She also made up her decision and decided that she will move on and forget Rakesh. At first she don't know how she will forget it but then she cleared up her mind that she will forget all about them.

When their parents were gone they all decided to get inside and watch tv with their aunt.

"So, you guys were alright now?" Aunt Genevieve ask, Rachel's siblings nod at her while Rachel was obviously occupied her mind not minding her Aunt asking her.

"Rachel?" Aunt Genevieve ask and shrug Rachel to get her attention.

"Huh? W-What?!" Rachel ask confuse was written to her face.

"Are you alright dear? After your mom and dad left you seems to be in distress what is the cause for you to act like that dear?" Aunt Genevieve ask Rachel who is only shrug her head and no words she wanted to tell anyone about her doubt.

An hours past and night came although Rachel and her siblings were on one room. Her siblings already sleeping but Rachel not yet sleepy.

Rachel decided to go outside to pass time, as well goes on... She look at the moon who's Rakesh looking at it every time he was alone. She even confuse why would Rakesh always look at the moon, is there something behind it? A minute pass a breeze came that sends shivers to all over Rachel's body that confuse her. I mean, even if this is a small town she is not comfortable. It was like there's something was off in the town.

It was so quiet, and peaceful. And also it was like there's no one living in here except her aunt and her husband.

She wanted to go far but it was night time and also there might be monsters everywhere so she should not sneaking around. But just like what the elder says "If you are curious, find the truth behind it" And she also beliefs in saying, "Curiosity kills a cat" Meaning there would be a trouble if she is curious to find the truth.

She sighed, but then when she look at far. She notice strange figure... It was also big like a monster although it wasn't too clear. It was like a dragon figure but she wasn't too sure. She thought that, "What if it was a monster?" then it would be a trouble if she went there without any warning and it will bring her life into danger if that happens. She sighs and decided to come back inside when she spotted something or someone. And she knew that it wasn't ordinary people it's eyes glowing green and looking at her.

She felt odd since it looks at her like some kind of predator waiting for it's prey to move, observing her. She can't help but to remember Rakesh at this moment. But she knew that she can't ask for help from him since she thought that Rakesh ends up forgetting them. Although she knew that she won't forget about him.

Minutes later that creature who is looking at her wasn't moving yet. She sighed, she thinks that what she saw maybe was just her hallucinations. So she decided to move but that is the wrong part for what she did. The creature alerted and decided to show itself turns out that it was a person but the strange part is that it has something in that person.

When that creature alerted also Rachel alerted she begins to run away and get inside the house. When she was inside she look through the window only to find out that the creature was now outside of their house and trying to spotted her. She quickly hides behind the door and lock it.

She breathes deeply as she was so nervous since she brought that creature to their house. She also sweating but she tried hard to hide from the creature.

Minutes passed but there were no sign of movement from the creature, she peeks through the window and saw the most terrifying creature. It was a figure of a human but in it's below was figure of a mammal. It has 4 legs and long snake tail. She gulped in nervous since she don't know how to move without alarming that creature outside their door.

Without thinking twice, she finally have the courage to telepathy contact Rakesh the dragon to help them and also to get rid of the creature in their house. She was trembling but she manage to communicate with him.

"R-Rakesh?" Rachel ask in a trembling voice.

On the other hand, Rakesh was having a nap when he heard someone calling. He wakes up to see if there were someone next to him trying to communicate with him. He look around but no one was in there... He begin to suspicious that he maybe having hallucination when another voice came out and asking for help. "Rakesh, please help me..." Rakesh knows that voice wasn't in his imagination it was from Rachel.

"Rachel?" He ask in telepathy.

"Help... Please help Rakesh... There's a monster outside of my Aunt's house and to be honest I don't know what I should do... My siblings were asleep and also my Aunt please Rakesh help me... I beg you" Rachel said sounded pleading as soon as Rakesh realize that there might be a possibility that Rachel was in trouble so he decided to help them.

He didn't know what's gotten into him, why would he help them after what her parents did to him. They also betrayed him for helping to find a better place for them and now she was contacting him and asking for help.

"Okay, I'll be there... Tell me where you are and I will find you. I promise I will protect you" Rakesh said that bring joy and happiness in Rachel's heart she don't exactly know what she feels but she knows deep down in her heart that she was longing for Rakesh existed.
