16 Chapter 15: Leaving...

Rakesh flew fast and tries to spotted where was Rachel and her family were now. Although the only that Rachel said was they were already down the mountains whom is now too far from the base that all the dragons staying.

He use his eyes to spot them and he was lucky since they weren't too far yet. He fly right away and when he was there he blocked their way that shocked Rachel and her family.

Rachel's father went ahead of them to confront Rakesh who stop them from leaving. He transformed again into human and ask all of them.

"Why all of you were leaving?" Rakesh ask. Rachel wants to stood up to say that she doesn't want to leave but her father who's the one who speak to her.

"I am not agree to let my Daughter to be with you" Rachel's father said.

"But I thought it was alright with you to let Rachel to be with me? I ask you in the cabin before all of you left here." Rakesh said.

"I'm sorry, but I change my mind. And we were leaving now" Rachel's father said.

"That's so unfair... I protected all of you, I never let anyone hurt all of you and this is what I get!?" Rakesh said mockingly.

"I'm sorry if not all you want you can get, as long as I am the father my rules. I can't let my daughter to be with someone like you. Who is a monster can easily kill a human" Rachel's father said that made Rakesh hand formed into fist in anger.

"You know what, maybe our ancestors was right... Humans are worse than to a monsters." Rakesh said.

"What did you say?!" Rachel father ask, who is now in hatred towards him.

"It hurts right?" Rakesh said then giggles. "Well, it doesn't matter. Okay, you all should go now. I'm sorry Rachel but this time I don't think it will be fit for us to become friends" Rakesh said after that he transformed into dragon and left them.

Rachel's don't know what to say to him... After she heard what Rakesh said she felt slight pain in her chest. She don't know why would she in pain like this.

When Rakesh left them they continued to leave them although there was a hesitation in Rachel's mind and heart saying that she wanted to help Rakesh but she knows that her father can't be pleaded. Not today or tomorrow. She sighed. She wanted to apologize but she don't know if she can't do it.

It took hours when they arrive to their country in the morning. Rachel's sibling ask their parents, "Mom, dad, where are we going to live now?" Cecilia ask after they saw what happen to their house.

Rachel's father sighed and patted Cecilia's head. "For the meantime we will be heading towards to you Aunt. Also, Rachel it was your break time at school so there's no classes will be for the rest of summer. It will be good if all of us were in you're Aunt." Rachel's father said.

"But dad, I don't wanna live with Aunt!" Cecilia said.

"Don't say that, now that we don't have a place to live after what happen to our house. For sure it will take time before you're mom and I build a new place to live" Rachel's father said.

Rachel's mother clapped her hand to get their attention. "Right now, let's go somewhere to eat breakfast." She said then all of them so glad that they will eat after a long walked they through to get to their village except Rachel who is still gloomy. Her mother notice her presence all of them walked to find a place to eat while walking Rachel's mother went near her to have a talk with her.

"Are you okay Rach?" Rachel's mom ask her, Rachel don't know how to answer she just look at her and slight smile at her.

"What are you thinking Rach?" Her mother ask again, but this time Rachel stop walking and look at her with mix emotions.

"I don't know mom, I mean. I am happy that all of us were safe, but also sad since I won't be able to be friends with Rakesh from now on." Rachel said.

"Why do you care for him so much Rach?" Rachel's mom said.

"I don't know mom, it feels like I know him for so long... And now that he is here with me... I let go that chance to finally be friends with him." Rachel said. Rachel's mother hugged her tight since she also don't know how to answer her feelings.

"So, what do you want to do now Rach?" Rachel's mom ask.

"I don't know mom. I mean, I thought at first I could easily say to all humans that dragons and humans can be friends. Just like having pets, where all pets will be stay loyal to their human owners and friended but when Rakesh told me that " I don't think it will be fit for us to be friends" I feel slightly pain in my heart mom. It was tearing me apart thinking that Rakesh will never be my friend anymore" Rachel said.

"Rach, there are lots of human in this world who you can be friend with. But your father was also right. He was just protecting you... Also you are a smart kid Rach. Think carefully for what you wanted to do... And I will support you, but choose where you can be safe" Rachel's mother said and kiss her cheeks. Rachel smile at her when Joe call them to eat since they found a place for them to eat breakfast before going to their Aunt's house.

Meanwhile, Rakesh and Reihta were having a meeting with their colleagues.

"Leader, where we should go to live? There's a lot of humans outside of this mountain also if we were staying here for too long all the humans might find out about our base." One of the dragon said. It was Oliver their look out.

"Don't worry I am thinking of a better way for us to get to safety." Rakesh said.

"But leader, not all dragons can transformed into humans. " Oliver said, it's true not all of them can transform humans especially the little dragons since their ability hasn't grown yet.

"Also, our mating season was almost approaching, we need to find a safer place for that." Darius said, one the elder of all the dragons.

"I know, it would be a problem if our place wasn't too big too all the dragons." Rakesh said.

"Hey, leader did you find your mate?" Freckles ask.

"Not yet... I will find her before the mating season comes" Rakesh said. The truth is that he already found his mate but the strange part was that his mate was a human and that's unacceptable!

"Also leader, we need to find more nest for the ladies who will labor their eggs soon." Freeza said the older lady dragon.

"I know for now, all the problems will be stuck up except for the nest. There were bunches of trees down in the mountain in our base. That is where we could get to make a nest for all the dragons can lay their eggs." Rakesh said to Freeza then he look at Oliver, "Also, you and your team still on the look out if there were humans or monsters were heading to our base. If that monster was dangerous and also not part of our kind you can alert all of us if not let them in to our base and let me handle them." Rakesh added. All of them agreed and they flew back to their teams.

Reihta couldn't control her confuse and ask Rakesh about Rachel and her family. "I don't you will bring them here again? Also this Rachel why they aren't here?" Reihta ask.

"Rachel's father really did not agree to our conversation. He doesn't like Rachel to be with us" Rakesh said.

"What are we going to do now?" Reihta ask.

"That is the problem... I also don't know what else we have to do. Since Rachel was gone I can't have a talked with other humans except her" Rakesh said.

"Why you always talked about Rachel? Is she important to you?" Reihta ask she always notice that Rakesh always wanted to see Rachel.

"No" Rakesh said, who is obviously lying.

"Tell me the truth Rakesh," Reihta said commanded at him. Rakesh sighed since she can't hide this for longs so he has to tell the truth. "The truth is, I already find my mate... But the bad news is that it was Rachel. And the bigger problem was she is a HUMAN not a dragon like us." Rakesh said that shocked Reihta... She don't know what to say for what she heard from her brother.

"She- what?!" Reihta said loudly making all of the dragons look at her.

When all the dragons did not mind her shouting she lower her voice and ask him. "Are you sure about that?!" Reihta ask and Rakesh nodded.

"But- how? I mean, when? I-I- don't know what to say... there's no words how can I explain this shockingly reveal" Reihta said.

"I know, it happens when I followed her in her school. When the time I needed to transform being dragon and I was trap there although she help me get out. It was so sudden, I mean, my heart... I can't say what it is..." Rakesh said touching his chest where his heart palpitate thinking of her.

"I don't want this feelings... If I am I wanted like our kind who is also a dragon but Rachel is a human. I can't accept that!" Rakesh said.

"But you can't force yourself not to mind this mating season... You know really well right? When the mating season has come we need to get their heart" Reihta said.

"I know... I know..." Rakesh said looking at the sky. "I just hope that Rachel will never have the courage to fall in love with me. It will be another problem if the mating season comes that time" Rakesh added.
