1 Chapter 01 Girl Feels

Have you ever wondered what will happen to a girl after she leaves China? Who adopted her? How is she? Will she cry when she is old enough to understand the truth? Would she miss those parents who wrote her name and date of birth on a piece of paper and left her on the street?

To be honest, I don't even know who my parents are. I am one of those girls who have been abandoned in the baby drop box. I think my parents didn't love me enough to give me a surname, but this is no longer important. When I was in the orphanage, I was one of the older children who were fortunately got adopted.

Sometimes I want to go back to China to find my birth parents, and ask them why they throw me away like a bag of garbage. Over time, due to the love of my parents, I slowly forgot about the idea of returning to China. My adoptive parents are very kind to me. We did well until my father became a victim of the scam. He lost everything and filed for bankruptcy. He was drowning in depression. One day, the principal of my middle school pulled me off class and brought me the best news of my life.

My father committed suicide with a single bullet into his head. My mother was so shocked by the death of her father that she suffered a heart attack. Soon after, she had a stroke and she was paralyzed from the left side.

My mother suffered two years of depression and abuse, until she finally decided to end her life by overdose on her depression medicine. My brothers and sisters rejected me. They blamed me for all their misfortunes. My brother told me that since my parents adopted me, I have brought misfortune to the whole family. Therefore, dear parents, before throwing away the little girl with a piece of paper, please consider how she feels, because after all, she is also a sentimental person.

When I think too much, I like to sit in this coffee shop and watch people passing by. Looking at them gave me a sigh of relief. I was concentrating on commuters on the street, when my eyes are covered by two hands. Through the strong smell of perfume, I can tell who this person is.

"I can smell your strong perfume from a distance," I said, and I took her hand down.

Linda said, "I will never successfully sneak up on you."

"Unless you have to change the perfume, you won't be able to do it."

"Preeda, there is a party tonight. I heard there will be many boys." Linda took off her sunglasses.

Linda Ananada is the daughter of the owner of a shopping mall in the city. Her father used to do business with my father. My family used to sell food in one of her father's rental place. That's how I met Linda, and we've been friend ever since.

"Let's go," Linda begged. "If I have no one to accompany me, I can't go. My parents will never let me go."

To be honest, Linda really doesn't need me to go with her. She only wants me to go with her because she knows that when she is all drunk from the alcohol and sex, she needs me to be the driver.

The gatherings of rich children are always grand. There is too much sex, drugs and alcohol. That's why I don't want to go. Watching those rich kids dunk and become stupid makes me laugh. If I am one of those people who take advantage of others, then I like to attend a gathering of rich people. After they are drunk they can sign over their fortune to you.

I remember one time a rich kid whom I am not going to name, ask if I will let him touch my breask. If I let him touch my breast for 20 minutes, he would give me a a twenty thousands dollar watch. I am sure that a watch of six hundred twenty thousand, two hundred baht can displayed the same time as a two hundred baht watch. After all, every watch has two hands, and ranged number from one to twelve.

"I have an interview tomorrow," I told her.

"Please Preeda Niran..." She pleaded. "There is a handsome young man who will attend the party that I like him very much."

What's his name?" I asked her.

"Sirichai Saengkaew aka Ice," Linda answered with a smile.

"If he goes to the party, then I will defiantly not going," I said.

"Preeda, if you agree to go with me, you don't have to go into the house. You can stay at the gate or in the car." She nagged. "Na…na…na…na…" She held tightly onto my left arm. "Wǒ qiú qiú nǐ…"

I must laugh at her Chinese because it sounds terrible, but at the same time, I laughed because Linda's big round eyes are so cute, trying to persuade me to go with her.

"Hǎo ba…"I laughed at her.

"Xièxiè," she smiled. "I will pick you up at seven?"

A waiter put two cups of iced coffee and a plate of cheesecake on the table. Linda pushed me a cup of iced coffee

"I can only stay until midnight. I have an interview tomorrow." I took ice coffee from her hand.

"I know, Cinderella." She giggled and ate some cheesecake. "After this, we go shopping."

"It doesn't sound like you."

"Not for me. For you." Linda continued to eat her cheesecake. "I bought my dress a month ago."

"I don't need one." I told her. "I will dress appropriately."

"You don't have to buy it. I will buy it for you."

"Don't worry. I will wear something nice." I looked and my watch, and lunch hour is over. "I have to back to work."

"Don't forget that I will pick you up at seven o'clock tonight," Linda shouted after me.

I just waved to her before walking out of the Cafe into the hot summer sun.
