Ever since that day 4 months ago, when Xia Zhilan last met Fu Sihan at the restaurant, she had been silently building up her company, Orchid Entertainment.

When she first arrived in this world Zhilan thought her mission was quite simple. All she had to do was ignore the male lead and become a world-renowned actress in 5 years. Both tasks were rather easy for our Mary Sue, Xia Zhilan but unexpectedly she was forced to make someone fall in love with her, once again. Unfortunately, her target was also a host, just like herself.

To make matters even worse, she discovered that Liu Jianhong, her target, also has the same mission as her. They had to make each other fall in love?

Even now, Xia Zhilan still felt like strangling her system and whoever was in charge of issuing the missions.

System 005 felt like rolling its eyes 'That's clearly just an excuse...' it thought.

To make it worse, Fu Sihan, that bastard, was making trouble once again.

When they last met, Xia Zhilan immediately recognised the man our male lead was dining with.

That man was a rather important figure in a relatively large corporation of Country A.

How did Zhilan recognise him you ask?

Whenever Zhilan arrives in a new world, she always does the most obvious and reasonable thing - research.

Although that fat balding man Fu Sihan dined with was quite an inconspicuous person in the public eye, Xia Zhilan had already done thorough research on him, his entire cooperation, and any other highly ranked people in their companies. Naturally, she did the same thing to every other large company or corporation in both Country A and Country C. You could say that Zhilan was quite prepared. After all, this would be her home for the next 5 years.

What Fu Sihan was trying to do was quite obvious. Well to Zhilan at least.

He was planning to build up his company here in Country A and destroy Xia Zhilan's dream's once again. He wanted to trap her into his little birdcage, once again.

Xia Zhilan couldn't help but applaud him for his dedication however she laughed coldly at the thought of Fu Sihan wanting to suppress her, Xia Zhilan.

Although Xia Zhilan at first only wanted to slowly build up her acting career leisurely, if Fu Sihan wants to play checkers with her, she'll gladly play chess instead.

Just as she expected, another entertainment company soon popped up which also happened to directly rival her Orchid Entertainment.

Fu Sihan even had the audacity to name his company Zhihan Entertainment?

"Why did I have to share the same name with the original female lead?" She lamented pitifully to herself.

Despite being the male lead who had an almighty halo of luck, Orchid Entertainment consistently remained a couple of steps above him.

The Fu family's company had been given to him on a silver platter, completely readymade whilst Xia Zhilan had risen and destroyed many companies from complete scratch in her lifetimes. How could Fu Sihan ever compare to Zhilan's level of skill and experience?

However, Xia Zhilan couldn't help but admit, Fu Sihan was truly quite a talent in the world of business.

The next morning...

Whilst Fu Sihan was working tirelessly in his office without a wink of sleep, Xia Zhilan was calmly sitting in a large dressing room letting an older woman gently apply skin products and makeup to her delicate little face.

"Lanlan, you must remember to take care of your health" the make-up artist chided "Look how big your eyebags have gotten! Didn't I tell you to get more sleep before?"

Although she sounded quite angry, the older woman had a doting expression as if she was an older sister when looking at Zhilan.

"I'm sorry... I'll be sure to go to sleep earlier next time" she said obediently whilst shooting her a bright smile.

In spite of her heavy eyebags, Xia Zhilan was still stunningly gorgeous.

"Hmph, even with so little sleep you're always so lively" she joked.

Over the past couple of months, Xia Zhilan's popularity increased exponentially after all episodes of «Stars in the Window» were released especially since Lu Li, the character she played, was extremely popular and the highly anticipated blockbuster, «The End's Predator» was also due to come out with her as the female lead.

Of course, Xia Zhilan also wasn't shy and generously gave herself some of the best resources from her company.

"If anybody has a problem with it, tell them to take it up with me, the president and owner of Orchid Entertainment," she said shamelessly

However, only a select few actually knew she was the president such as the vice-president, Tang Yu, and her personal assistant, Qiao Min.

Because of this, rumours were starting to fly...

As Xia Zhilan's fame grew, her schedule naturally became even busier than it was before.

Qiao Min sat by her side watching the makeup artist apply a heavy layer of concealer over her dark eye bags.

Despite being her assistant for several months already, she couldn't help but wince whenever she checked her boss' schedule. Even just thinking about it made her feel dizzy.

Every day, Qiao Min's admiration for her boss grew bigger and bigger.

She really didn't know how she survives living with a schedule like this.

Not only did Xia Zhilan have to work on her actress career, but she also had a quickly growing company to take care of.

Every day her schedule consists of auditions, filming, interviews, memorising her scripts, makeup, getting through documents, meeting other businessmen/investors, planning...etc

Thankfully, the vice-president was handling most of the other social events in her stead.
