1 Chapter One

In every cliché romance novel, there's also such a thing as a Male God.

The Male God was for the readers, the Male Lead was for the Female Lead.

With the identity of the handsome, gentle and overly affectionate supporting male lead, his fate was to fall in love with the Female Lead.

His looks ten out of ten. His personality ten out of ten. His background ten out of ten. But his fate for love aiya, it was well below the minuses.

No matter if he was stabbed, burned or even fed poison by the Female Lead, his love for her will forever remain unchanged.

Ying Yue was the living witness of that as she sat not too far away on the sidelines munching on the toffee popcorn she'd bought from the System's shop.

She swung her legs on the plum blossom branch that she was sitting on, feeling rather amused at what was going on.

Sun Shao Qing who had thought of taking a late afternoon walk after his lunch hadn't expected to meet this woman along the way.

His teeth tightly clenched as he looked down at those pair of hands, he had the urge to slice them up and feed them to her.

"Let go," his voice was smoother than a block of cold butter, as he restrained himself from killing this disgusting woman.

Watching the intense drama, Ying Yue clicked her tongue, "tut-tut, cutie do you see that? If I didn't know better, I would've thought he was the female antagonist."

The System who had been doing his daily face mask routine cracked his eyes open to take a glance before closing them and placing his cucumbers over, "it's nothing new, this isn't actually the most blackened a Male God could be."

Ying Yue sighed with emotion before flames erupted in her hand, burning the bag of popcorn to crisp, her actions went unnoticed by those around.

She patted the ash away before jumping off the tree, directly landing next to the Male God, causing people to shriek in surprise.

Sun Shao Qing had long ago noticed this person who had sat on the tree munching away at some white stuff, he hadn't expected for her to jump down and land right next to him.

She seems to be talented in Qinggong, having practically flew elegantly towards him a few seconds ago.

Ying Yue beamed; those pair of sparkling doe eyes caused Sun Shao Qing's long-ago dead heart to slightly stir.

She wasn't beautiful or seductive; instead, she looked overwhelming adorable, so moe he suddenly had the urge to take her home to play with.

"Hehe, cousin I've been looking for you everywhere! Aunt told me to come to pick you up!" Well, she was only half lying as she grabbed hold of his other arm that wasn't occupied by the shocked Female Lead.

She was on her first mission to help the Male God find true love!

At current, her identity was the distant cousin of Sun Shao Qing, Sun Ying Yue. It was supposed to be their first meeting today, but alas this background character actually died before she arrived in the Imperial Capital City of Xue!

And so, with her timely death, Ying Yue took over her body.

The feeling of possessing someone was thoroughly creepy, but that was because she hadn't gotten used to the fact she was actually a ghost, anyways she must be strong for the Male Gods that needs her help!

Sun Shao Qing looked down at the overly fluffy figure that was tugging at his sleeve.

He remembered in his previous life this distant cousin never appeared, he later found out she actually died on the way to the Imperial Capital City.

Why was she here now, did something change because of his reincarnation?

Also, what did she mean by she's been looking for him, hadn't she been watching his situation in amusement as if it was a play? But seeing those shimmering pair of eyes that was looking at him with admiration, he suddenly didn't want to expose her.

The white fur coat around Sun Ying Yue's neck caused her little face to look even smaller, her wavy black hair fell across her winter fur coat. She was fluffy, and overly sweet, looking like a mischievous little rabbit that came out to play.

Sun Shao Qing had a good impression of this cousin of his, he'd heard from rumours that she'd been spoilt to the point of being narcissistic, untalented and unruly. But seeing her now, wasn't it the opposite?

It was also precisely because of those rumors he hadn't reached out to save her in this life.

His hands unexpectedly felt itchy until he couldn't hold it in anymore and pull his arms away from that horrid woman before reaching out and patting that silky-looking head.

Mm, he rather liked the feeling.

Ying Yue giggle, closing her eyes as she enjoyed the sensation of the Male God patting her head.

She'd read the entire storyline of this novel, and actually fell in love with such a dedicated and loving Male God during the first version of the story... But alas on the second plot he was so blackened to the point of being scary!

But being pat by someone she admired regardless if he had blackened to the point of no return still made her happy. Reaching up, she clasped her hand over his before bringing it down and tugging him in a direction, "cousin, aunt-in-law has probably waited for a long time now, we better get going!"

Sun Shao Qing looked down at the figure that was beaming brightly and tugging him forward, his icy heart softened before agreeing, "en."

With that, the two departed, completely forgetting about the fuming Female Lead that was angrily stomping her foot.
