29 Rest

"Who... is Kevin?" Lawrence uttered weakly. 

And this question caused Kevin to stiffen. His heart slammed hard against his chest. His meat paw pads that were resting in Lawrence's chest hung weakly. 

Kevin suddenly felt dizzy, his paws weakened and he collapsed in Lawrence's chest.

Lawrence noticed him.

"Nala?" Lawrence's warm hand touched Kevin's soft chin. Before he could inspect him, a sudden wave of dizziness swept over him.

Lawrence closed his eyes and instinctively pulled Nala closer. Wrapping his arms around the soft fluffy body and receiving the warmth he emitted.

When Lawrence opened his eyes again, he was no longer inside his room. He was back in that white space again.

And Nala is no longer in his arms.

Lawrence glanced down at his hands in disappointment. He should have held on to Nala more, maybe he could have brought it here too.

At this ridiculous thought, Lawrence sighed.
