1.1 Winter has Disappeared!

The room in which Lea opened her eyes was incredible. She had never seen anything like it. The floor on which she stood was soft and moist. It was very comfortable on her bare feet.

At first she really couldn't understand what it was exactly, but then realization struck her. She was standing on a cloud. No, she was certain she was in a cloud, since the walls and ceiling were also made out of the white and fluffy looking material.

That wasn't even the most amazing thing about the room. It was snowing. Inside! The best thing was the snow didn't even bother her. The snowflakes were falling on her skin, but it didn't feel cold. It felt like breathing fresh air.

Lea looked around the rest of the room. All the furniture was carved out of ice. It was gorgeous. The four poster bed, looked like something out of a fairytale. With drapes that shined and seemed to be made out of some sort of really thing ice.

She walked towards the big mirror to see how she looked like. If the room was this magical then certainly her appearance shouldn't be mediocre. Otherwise she felt like she shouldn't be here at all. A room this beautiful could only contain special people, Lea thought.

When Lea saw her reflection she was stunned. Her skin seemed to be made out of snow! Not only the color, but the structure too. It glistened in the light. It didn't seem like skin at all. Her facial features too seemed completely out of the world, as if she was goddess. Perfectly symmetrical and not a single flaw! Lea touched her face in wonder. How was this even possible? She could look at herself forever. Surely, there wouldn't be a prettier person in this world.

When she finally tore herself away from her face, she looked at her exquisite straight hair. It looked quite normal in comparison with the rest of her appearance – but certainly not disappointingly so. It was a shiny silver color, smooth as can be. It actually made her look a little strict. The image Lea got in her mind was of a sharp blade that could cut you with every move. It gave her the shivers, so Lea stopped looking at her hair and concentrated on her dress.

The long dress she wore accentuated her figure perfectly. She couldn't grasp from what kind of material it was made. Maybe crystals? It felt like she wasn't wearing anything at all, as if the sight in front of her eyes was an illusion.

"Dwyl?" she called eventually, after she had stared at herself for quite a while. The voice with which she spoke didn't sound like herself at all. It sounded like she could freeze people to death.

[Dwyl: Speak with your mind. Nobody can know you're a transmigrator. Tsk… What an amateur.]

Lea decided to ignore Dwyl's remark. It's not as if it was incorrect. She was an amateur.

[Like this?]

[Dwyl: Yes.]

[I can't see you.]

[Dwyl: Because I don't want to go all the way to that world. You're not the only one who does what it wants!]

Lea felt distressed hearing this. Dwyl was leaving her on her own? She wasn't a genius like other transmigrators. Without her system she would surely get in trouble, even if she didn't need to complete a mission. [What if I need you?]

[Dwyl: For what?]

[I don't know. An emergency? Or if I want to do something, but I don't know how. I might need your advice.]

[Dwyl: Ask me when the time comes. If I'm in the mood, I'll help you.]

Lea sighed. Getting this system on her side won't be an easy task, but she had to for her future!

[Alright, Dwyl. Thank you very much for your generosity. I'll be counting on you!]

[Dwyl: I am very generous indeed. Helping a hopeless person like you, who would do that if it wasn't for me? So, I guess I'll give you the plot now.]

[Yes, please!]

[Dwyl: Downloading plot. 3… 2… 1. Download complete.]

This is a world in which gods and goddesses exist. The story revolves around the goddess Winter. She and her three siblings – Spring, Summer and Autumn – have lived in peace for centuries. Of course there have been ups and downs, like in every family, but eventually they always find their way back to each other. The person who brings the most problem in this happy family is Winter. She's cold, cruel and ruthless. If her siblings do something she doesn't like, or if they fail to fulfill her wishes, she can get seriously angry.

Despite all that her siblings love her. In fact they are always quite worried. That's because even though winter doesn't like most gods and goddesses, there is one she does like: the god Moon. You see, Winter is also very vain and when Moon shines her with his light she finds herself looking her best. Thus not only does she tolerate his presence, she appreciates it, and is very kind every time he is around. If it was up to her, Moon would never leave her side. After all, she doesn't want to look ugly!

The thing that worried the siblings was the fact that Moon fell in love with her. He liked the attention and compliments Winter gave him. This wouldn't be a problem at all, if it wasn't for the fact that Moon was married to the Goddess Sun! The marriage between Sun and Moon, was everything but perfect. Because of their opposite roles, the times they could see each other were very little. Sun really liked her husband Moon, and her love was strong enough to overcome a little distance apart. Moon on the other hand only married Sun, because without her he wouldn't shine as much. Above all that if he refused the proposal Sun could destroy him! It honestly was a marriage out of convenience for him. So when Winter treated him like her everything, he didn't seem the harm in starting a relationship. His wife couldn't expect him to stay celibate if she could barely give him what he wanted, Moon thought.

Moon was incredibly wrong about that. Of course Sun's husband had to stay loyal to her! She was the Sun Goddess after all, the most powerful of all the gods and goddesses. She couldn't accept that the love of her life, cheated on her. She gave him everything. Without her, the people wouldn't even notice his existence! Without her, that slut Winter wouldn't be able to shine in his light!

Blinded with rage, Sun decided to teach her scummy husband a lesson. She couldn't yet meet Moon, but she didn't have any limitation when it came to Winter! So, not even a day after she realized Moon had feelings for another, Sun abducted Winter.

Winter's siblings immediately realized she was missing, and panicked completely. They saw this coming. They had warned Winter not to get involved with Moon, but she didn't listen! Look now what happened. Abducted by Sun! This was a disaster. If Winter stayed to long with her, she would melt! Without Winter they couldn't keep the ecosystem of Earth intact, and then most of the Seasons would die! There already were places on earth were only Summer could go! Without Winter those places would increase.

They would've asked Moon to clean up his mess, but by the time he could talk to Sun, Winters powers would've already decreased a lot. What a useless god, the siblings thought. No, they would need to go to Sun themselves and ask for Winter back. Just because she wanted to punish the two who had an affair, doesn't mean she had to punish all the gods and goddesses.

Sun looked at the begging seasons and listened to their reasons. They weren't wrong. Maybe she did react a little bit to hotheaded, but what did you expect? She was the goddess Sun after all. Reluctantly she gave Winter back to her Family, but under the condition that she should stop seeing her husband.

Winter really didn't want to agree to this condition. It was the same as asking her to stay her ugliest forever! Luckily Winter's cruel nature could recognize another cruel one. Sun would really kill her with her heat, and being death was worse than being a tiny bit less pretty. Thus so ended the relationship between Moon and Winter.

Winter became even crueler and colder, because she was deprived of the only person who could make her smile. Moon on the other hand, quickly forgot about Winter and started an affair with the god Lake. And thus ended the love story between Moon and Winter.

Lea felt a great sense of loss when she read the plot description. She wanted the love interest to be someone sweet, someone with whom she could start her first relationship ever, but instead it was a cheating married man who dumped the protagonist as soon as his wife found out and then proceeded to cheat with someone else!

[I think this world is too much for me, Dwyl. All these characters are way to selfish! Can we go to another world?]

[Dwyl: Stop complaining. You're a goddess! Who'd want to pass up on that?]

Lea was thinking. Dwyl, did have a point. In how many other worlds would she be a goddess? Isn't this the ultimate dream of every girl, of every human?

[Where in the story are we now?]

[Dwyl: Moon has already fallen in love and will soon confess.]

[Hmmm…. I can refuse him right? I can refuse him and prevent being abducted.]

[Dwyl: Just keep in mind your characters settings: coldhearted, cruel, ruthless and vain.]

Lea thought that with those character settings she should be able to refuse Moon without any problem.

[Dwyl: Do you want a memory transfer?]

Lea wanted to see yes, but then she realized this body was a goddess, thus immortal.

[That depends, how many years of memories does this body have?]

[Dwyl: Around four billion years.]

Lea's eyes almost popped out of her sockets.

[No! I do not want a memory transfer. My mind would explode!]

Just the thought of having to contain those memories made Lea's head ache. And honestly, even if hear mind didn't explode when receiving the memories of a goddess, how could she be sure she wouldn't forget who she was? Twenty-one years mean nothing compared to four billion! Lea just didn't want to risk it. Anyway, it's not like she had a mission to fulfill. What harm could it really do?

[Dwyl: What a weak mind you have.]

[I don't care! I'll manage without memories somehow.]

[Dwyl: This confidence was nowhere to be seen in the resting space.]

Just when Lea had thought of a comeback moonshine engulfed her and a voice reverberated out of nowhere; "Winter, my little snowflake. I'm here!"

What do you think of the first world?

Personally, I'm excited to see what Lea will do in this world. Can she handle being a goddess? How will she deal with Moon? Who will be her love interest?

Curious? Add the story to you library. You'd do me a big favor!
