16 Chapter 16

Meiyi was dead tired after their one hour walk around the garden and decided to go back to her own palace and prepare for her plan when she suddenly took notice of 2 maids chatting about some sorts of Food festival in town.

The more she heard about that festival, the more she wanted to go, till she forget her plans and rushed by to see the emperor.

"Your majesty! Can I go to the Food festival in town? Please.." Meiyi asked with twinkling bunny eyes..

Feng Tianxiao, who was ready to wrack his brains with the problems in hand suddenly had a heart failure when Meiyi jumped out of nowhere and beg him with her cute bunny eyes... she looked adorable and disheveled at this instant as she bad probably run like crazy to reach here.

He was quite happy to see Meiyi who ran off ealier ran back to him, but was quite displeased by the fact that she said that she wanted to go to the Food festival and she did not include him and her phrase did not contain a we.

Meiyi certainly won't include that 'we'

in her sentence as she never intended to have him there and stuff her with food while she was having fun.

She had a point to argue and it was that she has never ever decided to get married and there a husband pops out of nowhere, stealing her freedom away! As a women who belongs to the newest generation, Meiyi had never thought of marriage and since she was married, she needed a few breaks sometimes to get that heavy weight out of her mind!But, since she was the empress right now, she could not shout that out loud because she does know that they might think that she is crazy, or worst who knows they might think it is infectious and kill her?

Feng Tianxiao was enjoying watching Meiyi when she was fighting in her head but, he will have to break the silence between them and decided to agree to her proposition, however, he will have to accompany her!

"Zhen will allow you to go, on the condition that zhen needs to be by your side all the time!"

Meiyi's face frown at the obvious answer she was given and decided that it was better to go than not and that freedom will come in a while.. while she was outside, she might as well run away...

At dawn, Meiyi and Tianxiao were both dressed in commoners clothing and went on a carriage that left them in a deserted street, near the festival.

They leisurely walked hand in hand till the crowded street and seeing all the fun things out there, Meiyi let go of Feng Tianxiao's hand and ran towards everything she found interesting.

Feng Tianxiao sighed at the childish Meiyi who didn't know how to compose herself and decided to ran after her, catch her and never let go of her hand...
