103 Story time until I can think of something original part 1

Has anyone else had really bad experiences with patient first/CVS/doctors offices/hospitals???

And I don't mean like you had a really long wait but as in you were right and they were wrong?

If you weren't one of those people good luck for you you had competent doctors. But if you were like me you were in a boatload of pain due to people being idiots.

I am one of those unfortunate people with The incurable disease called clumsiness.

I don't know how I do it, but I have the ability to trip over air.

No I'm gonna take you all back I was 10 in the fifth grade on Easter break. I was at one of my best friends birthday parties and for some reason we had the glorious idea to play kickball on a hill fill of holes. Me not watching where I was going went off to go get the ball and manage to land my left foot in a hole and continue to roll down the hill to my inevitable doom. One rocky ride later I find myself at the bottom and with a foot full of pain.

As I said earlier I am very clumsy and I know when I am hurt end it was so obvious that something was wrong.

I was against leaving because it was my friends birthday I couldn't do that

I WAS LOYAL.

So I stayed. Later on that evening I went on to tell my mother what had happened and proceeded to try to convince her that I needed to go to the doctor. In her words "If you're able ignore it to have fun then you're perfectly fine" so I continue to go on a untreated foot for three weeks.

During those three weeks I was playing softball (pitcher) and one of my friends moms noticed that something was off. So when we were doing the batting lineup she took me out of the dugout and had me takeoff my shoes so she could look at my foot (if I remember correctly she was like an RN or something) and to everyone surprised by mine my foot was a mixture of colors ranging from green, blue , and in some areas a really weird brownish purple.

Needless to say I was banned from continuing practice until I had gone to a doctor.

Due to the other moms convincing my mom finally took me to patient first. After a boatload of waiting and an x-ray I was told that I was perfectly fine and just put ice on it. I disagreed with the diagnosis and told my mom no I know what a fracture feels like and this is definitely it.

I was completely ignored and we left patient first.

Two days later we got a call from patient first.

They told us we had to come back. And surprise, surprise what do we discover on our second trip my foot was fractured.

My one question is like how do you miss that on an x-ray?

It was pretty obvious it's like a white line on the x-ray showing it and it's pretty obvious!

How does a 10-year-old Who is pretty much blind (me) (I can probably describe my horrible eyesight later) have better observation skills then a trained professional?

This is the end of my story time

Hopefully next time I update there's something original for you
