What is the difference between ruling and overseeing ?

What is the difference in the way that the power is held?

When I think of someone ruling I normally think of oppression, fear, and power

When I think of The term overseeing I think of Respect, followers, and willfulness

Which set of characteristics would you rather have in a a leader?

Unfortunately they are two sides of the same coin. They both are players of the same role.

The only difference is how they go about their role.

Someone who is ruling is almighty and is there usually do to family and is stereo typically holier than thou.

Someone who is an overseer is someone who is usually trusted by many and acts on the behalf of others.

But with that being said who gave them the ability to be in charge in the first place ?
