63 Memory

Does anyone else ever get really disappointed when you re-watch something and it's not as how you remembered it.

As an example rewatch a childhood show and it not living up to the memory you have of it from your childhood.

Or possibly re-reading a book and from what you remember of a certain character is completely off canon.

Rereading/ rewatching a character that you looked up to and nothing all of it's flaws that you once ignored and realizing the character is bad

Or looking at a antagonists and this time around sympathizing with them.

Why I it that reality doesn't live up to the memory ?
