112 Interpretation

So the semester I'm taking a writing class.

One of our most recent assignments was to write about a picture and we had to describe it to someone who is blind.

This had me thinking besides someone being totally blind there are different visual impairments especially color blindness that couldn't have a picture have a different interpretation than you do.

There's so many different degrees of color blindness and some people only can see in black-and-white so how would they interpret the picture that was before them?

Some people can't see without glasses how would they interpret a picture without them?

If I didn't have my glasses on all I would see is a blonde colors mixing together.

While looking at a picture you can do your best to explain what it looks like it's difficult to have others interpret it the same way you do.

Usually it's helpful to know what an object feels like that way you can explain it fully but how can you do that was just a picture?

I don't see it happening.

How do you explain a color to someone who's never seen it before or interpreted different than you do?

How do you explain something that they've never seen before?

Would it be in terms of what that person would be able to understand?

Is what we see what we really see or is it just the way that we interpret our reality
