38 A long burning question:Wind?

So I have to ask how does wind work?

Because there's air all around us and we don't normally feel it or see it

But for some reason during storms or a nice sunny day there's a nice breeze but where does it come from

With the air all around us I would think that we would be accustomed to the air flow around us

As you know since the earth is rotating around wouldn't we all be feeling a constant breeze

But we don't because we are used to it

So then why is it it gets windy

How does the air become faster in some places but not others

I don't understand it

Or the science behind it
