1 The World of mystery

Manuel woke up like any other day. Getting his phone from the desk and unplugging it. Scrolling on a novel site and picking his favorite novel and check if there were any updates.

Looking at it without any latest updates. He frowned. "I guess I can't overthink it. Let the novel writer rest"

Getting up from his bed and went to the bathroom to take a shower. Came out of the bathroom completely clean. Still having a towel on his shoulder.

letting anyone know that he has just taken a shower. Looking at his room feeling quite refreshed. Fixing his hairstyle then sat on his chair.

Opening his PC and chatting with his friends on discord. Looking if someone was online and he saw Eve.

Manuel was going to message Eve, but he saw a message from Eve first. "Well, looks who's existed then ever" Smilling at the message. Then opening it.

Seeing what was inside the massage Manuel laugh out loud.

[ Eve: "what are you doing there? Tell me you didn't rob a bank or something..."

Manuel: "What are you talking about I just woke up "

Eve: " Yeah, sure I bet you were asleep for 18 hours already & now plotting to rob some chicken eggs from your neighbor"

Manuel: "I'm not going to rob eggs from my neighbors well maybe just one lol. I was just checking if there was any new novels to read"

Eve; "Well, if you really like reading novels I recommend ***"

Manuel: "No, no, Not that you know me too well Eve remember I want Novels with a game genre"

Eve "you are well obsessed with it like a dog with its tail"

Manuel: "Hey, I am not. I just like the NPCs"

Eve: "ha-ha well if you like there is this novel that I recommend *****"

Manuel; "Right thank you very much"

Manuel was now offline

Eve; "Ey I'm not done with you come back here" ]

Manuel got his phone on the side of his desk and search for the novel that Eve recommended. "Where is it, why can't I find it" Manuel was scratching his head in annoyance. After some time he finally found it.

"Oh, that's why I didn't see it. It's having the same cover as some others. Well, I should read the title instead of the cover"

Manuel read it for some hour before stopping. "It's holidays anyway ill just take a walk in the park" Emanuel got dressed in thick clothes, having it almost Christmas and it was chilly outside.

Then went outside taking his phone and some pocket money with him.

Walking around in the streets heading to the park he felt the cold winter breeze the smell of smoke from the cars. The busy streets.

"It is very noisy with all this traffic" Manuel stops at a traffic light currently waiting to turn green.

Manuel smiled, looking up. There was always a small animation on the traffic light. That always makes Manuel smile.

The light finally turned green and Manuel continued on his way. Looking around the busy streets. Children walking with their parents. Vendors selling some snacks. And the people walking along the road. The light of the Christmas holiday always brings color to the place.

"Looks like it will be a happy Christmas like always. Everyone looks very happy" Smiling, he continued towards the park.

He saw many things towards it people singing. Jumping for joy. Greeting each other. The happy smile of everyone.

"Good thing humanity found a cure for the grave illness known as cov-19. Now that everything was almost the same" Manuel said with a sad expression. "I really love it if they were still here for the holidays"

After a long walk, Manuel finally made it to the park. Grass that once look lush and thick greenery was now white as snow.

The Trees were decorated with Christmas lights. The clear blue swan lake was now frozen solid. "It is very beautiful just like you said mom" Tears slowly started to come out of Manuel's reddish face.

"I hope they are doing fine out there where ever they are," Manuel said before slowly left the place. He was in a corner of the park hidden from view. "I always came here with my parents when I was a child. This is our sneaky hiding spo-"

Before Manuel can continue he felt a pain in his heart. "What's this why do I fell..." Manuel died of a heart attack that he never saw coming.

Waking up from the dreamlike state he saw a never endless white blue sky. Looking around, he found nothing, just himself floating in this never endless sky.

"Where am I?" Ask in an endless sky. Feeling the chilly breeze from the wind, he tried to cover himself. But the cold didn't subdue by eve a little bit. In the seemingly endless sky, someone spoke.

"HOHOHO very interesting you keep calm in this endless void of the sky. No fear for the unknown. HOHOHO very interesting indeed" Said in a deep powerful voice.

"Hello, who's there," Said Manuel looking around to find a storming wind right behind him. "What is that don't come any closer" Manuel was frightened for the first time in a long while.

The seemingly storming wind spoke. "HOHOHO calmed down child. You cannot comprehend my being, so I made myself show as the wind"

Manuel calmed down a little and said. "Where am I and why am I here?" Said Manuel with a calm demeanor.

"HOHOHO your very calm in these situations," Said the Storming wind full of power in his words. The Storming wind was looking at Manuel seemingly with interest.

"I don't know, it just feels like I'm in a game. I am very interested in novel games" Said Manuel with sparkle on his eyes and determination. Clenching his fist. Looking at the Storming wind right in front of him.

"HOHOHO very interesting. So you think this is a game right? HOHOHO Then do you want to be in a game?" Said the Storming wind with some excitement and seems a devilish smile.

"Really, you can??" Just like a fool, Manuel asks right ahead if he can. Well, this is his dream after all.

"HOHOHO Yes, I can just say it and I will send you to a place called Worlds of mystery. A world filled with mystery and Possibilities" Said the storming wind with excitement and joy.

"Then can you make me an NPC that will give quests to travelers or gamers???" Said Manuel with hesitations. He maybe wanted to say yes right away. But he was no fool he knows that everything wasn't free.

Seemingly the storming wind, knowing what was in Manuel's mind. "Do not worry, I can make you an NPC or the thing you said.

"HOHOHO relax everything does have a cost but. It's going to be open for you. As you died prematurely" Said the storming storm with Authority and power in his voice.

Manuel frowned at the comment of the Storming wind. "What do you mean I died prematurely???" Ask Manuel to the Storming wind in front of him.

"HOHOHO just likes what you heard, you died earlier than you, should," Said the storm with a voice with power. Suppressing my hatred. I calmed myself down.

"Fine send me to the world of mystery," Said Manuel with a shout.

"HAHAHAHA THEN I BEAD YOU GOOD LUCK QUEST MAKER," Said the Storming wind before everything became dark. "What is going on. Hey, why is it so dark" Manuel said with a worried tone.

Then, like he suspected he felt extreme pain all over his body slowly, his, skin, flesh, hair, bone started to shatter then reform. It was severe pain he ever felt.

"ACHHHHHHHHHHHHH YOUU DAME OLD MANNNNNNNNNNNNN" Manuel screams at the top of his lungs.

After what seems like an eternity, he slowly opens his eyes what greeted him was a seemingly destroyed sealing. Worn down the bed.

There was a noise in his head. It or she says. {Confirm confirm confirm} Over and over.

"Confirm" Said Manuel. Then a blue, bright light appeared. Seemingly looks like a system. "I really... Am in a game. HAHAHAHA. I really am in a game" Said Manuel.

He calmed himself down and looking at the system he was given. He saw his name and an NPC side of his name.
