Planning

The next few days became hectic after Eira announced George´s idea. Everyone was enthusiastic and they worked hard to make it possible. The malicious news still went on but soon a lot of people lost interest and focused on something else. Eira also had let her PR team give out some hints on their official website that something new was soon coming. That made the netizens talk about that.

The place Eira had in mind was an old building. Even if she wouldn´t use it for this matter she still wanted to renovate it so that it was ready as soon as their plans worked out.

In the "BAZOO", one of her restaurants on the main street, she held a meeting with the shop manager to show him the new dish.

George went with her as the head developer. In the next two months, he will work in the BAZOO and concentrate on making his own creation and also teaching it to one of the chefs there.

"So this the plan. I hope everything goes well. I want you to still concentrate on the main dishes from the BAZOO but also highly recommend the new dish and advertise them properly. Give out free samples to your regular costumers." Eira talked to the shop manager.

He nodded in understanding.

"Also Mr. Henning here will work for the time being here. I know that the head chef is really good here so I won´t let him do more than he already did. I want to find a sou chef you can support Mr. Henning. Do you perhaps someone in mind?" She asked him.

The shop manager thought about it for a while and finally answered.

"I´ve got a few candidates in mind but you want to take them to the new location, am I right? It might get hard here if you take one of them with you. May I suggest something else?" The shop manager carefully said.

"Go ahead." Eira gave him her agreement.

"You are opening your cooking school soon. Why don´t you look for a sou chef there? I think there should be some talented chefs among the students." The shop manager suggested.

"You are right. It is worth a shot or I have to look for someone else. Thanks for the suggestion." Eira gladly thanked him.

Then she decided to end the meeting.

"Alright, I´ll leave the rest up to you two. Come up with a good name for the dish." With that Eira left George at the BAZOO and drove to her next destination.

She shortly arrived at the abandoned building that she planned to renovate. The renovation was already ongoing still she wanted to make sure everything went well.

Some of the workers saw her and greeted her then resumed back to their work. She made her rounds around the building. Half of it already looked presentable. There were only a few minor things that had to be done.

She didn´t see the need to stay there longer and decided to go to her last destination.

When the shop manager mentioned the cooking school, she decided to make a surprise visit to the building site to see how things are going on there. She got the reports but it´s still better to see it for herself.

The building was already built and most of the cables were already installed. Electricity and water are already working and the ordered furniture is already stored in a warehouse waiting to be placed into the school.

When her father was still alive they had planned that he would be the headmaster of the school. Now that he wasn´t there she also had to look for someone she could appoint as the headmaster.

There were so many things that had to be done and she couldn´t be everywhere.

She needs more people she could trust. There is the possibility that a normal employee could still betray her and in a high position as the headmaster, she couldn´t let that happen.

The problem here is that she didn´t have any other family members and she rarely had any friends. After school, she always concentrated on working and learning. She skipped a few grades to fasten her education. She quickly finished graduating and getting her decree to help her father. Then the past few years she was too occupied with the company.

So she had no one.

Sighing heavily she made her way back to her office to continue her work there. Sad but true. She is married to her work. There is no way she could go out and make some friends.

When she finally arrived at her office it was already late. Helen was already preparing to go home.

"Miss Morgan. I thought you went home after the meeting and inspection round. Why are you here?" She asked her in surprise.

"I still got some unfinished work, so I´ve decided to do that now. It´s no use to push it further back." Eira smiled tiredly.

"Shall I help you with that?" Helen asked concerned.

"No, it´s okay. You have already pulled too many overtime hours. Go home. Your husband must wait for you." Eira winked at her.

Helen blushed and giggled.

"He is not my husband, yet."

"When is the wedding again?" Eira asked her.

"Actually it´s this weekend. Will you come?" Helen looked at her with hopeful eyes.

"Of course I come. I want to see the man who steals you away from me. I have to be more considerate of you. I can´t let you work yourself off so much." Eira laughed.

"Okay. I am very happy to hear that. You should also not work too much. Take a breather for once and a while. Maybe you should take a vacation when the projects are all done." Helen suggested.

"Yeah that might be a good idea. Thank you. Now quickly go home. Your soon-to-be-husband is waiting."

Both of them parted laughing.

Well, Eira wasn´t entirely right. She had sort of found a trusted friend in Helen. But never would she give her away. Helen was a capable secretary. Why change that?

Smiling she started to finish her work.
