17 Bad guy?

When they had finally surrounded the hangar he gave them the sign to wait for his command. Then he himself watched how John was threatening Eira with his gun. He could see that she was trying to hide her fear and act tough. He smiled proudly at her. That was a good decision.

If she could stall for a little more time so that all of his men had their guns pointed at their targets it would be perfect.

He wanted to give her a sign, to let her know that rescue was on its way.

He put out his phone and went to a window directly behind John.

Right now two men were standing beside her but they had their eyes fixed on her. John was facing her with his back to the window. It was now the chance for him.

He pushed the button at the side of his phone and the display lit up and he quickly put it down.

Eira had seen his phone blinking and understood what he meant.

She distracted them by acting like a maniac. Her laughter was going on and on.

And she lied to John by pretending to sign the contract. Her hands were freed.

Outside they could hear her speaking to John.

"If I knew you were such an arrogant and bossy man I would have probably fallen in love with you for a long time." She laughed.

John still looked at her confused.

"Why would you?"

"You have to know something about us woman. We sure like a charming man but more so the good girls always like the bad boys more." She started to laugh again.

Outside the man smiled lightly at her words.

John on the opposite was very angry.

"Don´t tease me. You will die sooner or later. Now sign this, quick!"

Eira looked at him mockingly.

"Pah as if."

The answer made John furious and he screamed in his rage.

That was the moment they were waiting for.

Like on cue the armed men stormed the hangar and their captain yelled at everyone to freeze or they would shoot.

John tried to grab Eira to hold her hostage but she quickly avoided him and knocked the gun with her free hands out of his own hands. The gun fell to the ground and John tried to retrieve it but was stopped by the clicking sound of a gun held at his head.

"Try to move and YOU are dead." A voice called out to him menacingly.

John slowly stood up straight again and looked at Eira with hatred.

"You... did you call him here?" He spat out and glaring at her with a piercing look.

She looked at the man who held John captive surprised.

"No, I didn't know it was him." She honestly answered.

"Now Mr. Johnson want to explain what you were about to do?" He said behind John now more relaxed than before.

John's face grew red in anger and his handsome face distorted.

He tried to turn around and grab the gun but he got a direct hit on his face. Stumbling he fell down on the ground and held his face groaning.

"F**k you Henning. I know who you are. You are NOT better than me. I will never lose to you." He spat out.

George laughed and twirled the gun in his hand.

"You are funny. I already knew of your shady business this time you gave the public the reason to thoroughly investigate your whole business." He nodded to one of his men and they put on handcuffs on John´s hands and led him outside were a few cars already arrived to transport the captured men away.

George then looked at Eira.

"Hey there. Are you okay?" He grinned.

Eira just scoffed and bend down to untie her legs. She had almost freed her left leg when George knelt down before her and helped her with her right foot.

She looked at him and immediately leaned back a bit because his face was just a few centimeters away from her face. But when she did that George's face came again closer to her. She leaned back at the chair as far as possible but his face again came closer and closer.

She gulped.

"Ehm George. What are you doing?" She slowly whispered.

He didn´t answer her directly but stared deeply into her eyes while still carrying a slight smile.

"Who is the bad guy in your eyes?" He asked her back.

Eira avoided his gaze and looked at her shoes and answered him.

"It´s not John."

George´s smile grew wider and he inched closer to her even more.

"Who is it then?"

"I don´t know." Eira panicked and stood up abruptly and wanted to escape him but she forgot that her right leg was still tied to the chair. When she made a step forward the chair held her right foot in place and she stumbled forward. She lost her footage and was about to fall face-first to the ground. But that didn´t happen. George lunged forward and grabbed her by her waist and pulled her securely to his chest.

Eira slowly opened her eyes again when she felt something warm embracing her. She could hear Georges breathing and looked at him.

Again their faces were really close.

George smiled at her.

"You know. You are wrong. Girls want a prince charming who truly loves them. Not a sneaky snake. Bad boys don´t give you happiness." He whispered into her ear.

Eira blushed a bit at their proximity they were and she didn´t know where to look and where to put her hands. She nervously wrung her hands and tried to breathe evenly.

"Then who do you think you are?" She tried to hide her nervousness. "Are you prince charming or are you the bad boy?"

George laughed lightly.

"You are already a queen yourself. You don´t need a rich prince. I´ll be your knight in shining armor. Protecting you from those sneaky snakes."

Eira also laughed at his answer.

George saw her laughing face and smiled.

"Cute." He whispered barely audible.

"What?" Eira didn´t hear it.

George caressed her cheek and pulled her closer to him. They locked eyes, falling into the dark pits of each other's eyes.

She instinctively closed her eyes. Soft lips landed on soft lips and both of them savored the moment.

What had started as a light cautious kiss continued to be more passionate.
