Zhang Han jerked her hand once they were out of sight and secluded. Mei Lein's hand was still in midair until Lady Martha who was walking far behind them giving the couple their space unexpectedly bumped and stepped onto Mei Lein's feet crushing her toe by mistake.

Mei Lein screeched, "You blind hag! Watch your steps..." and was keen to lash out at the messy servant but before she could do so Zhang Han turned around and glared at the phrases spoken by the woman younger than the servant lady when she was sorry for the accident. His gaze held a flash of disdain and revulsion, for Mei Lein didn't show consideration and regard for Lady Martha's amends. Zhang Han was not at all surprised to see a small smirk tugged at the corner of her lips, as she accepted Lady Martha's apologies under his scrutiny.
