"Yawn!"

"Huh!"

Rose's eyes slowly opened as she spread her arms. But, it got blocked when she tried to spread it further. She turned her head and looked at the blocker, she found her fist colliding against Alan's cheeks. She tilts her head and shifted her gaze.

"Ehhh!"

Only after few seconds, she realized what just happened. She immediately got off from his arms and bowed down.

"I'm sorry! I'm sorry! I didn't mean to sleep in your arm. Your arms were super comfy that's why I couldn't resist the sleep. Please forgive me!"

Rose couldn't even lift her head. Her face had turned crimson. She couldn't believe she slept in his arms just before he entered his tribe.

"Hush! It's alright. Just don't do such a thing in front of other people." Alan sighed as he turned around. He was still standing in front of the gate.

In fact, he had been standing in the same position without moving for almost five hours while holding Rose in his arms.

Rose got even more embarrassed after hearing his consoling words. She barely raised her head but her eyes suddenly narrowed. That gaze sent chills down his spine. Alan unconsciously shifted his head to the right.

Seeing his movement, she got even more suspicious. She slowly walked in front of him. She raised her hand and caught his jaws.

"Turn around!" Rose knew she couldn't possibly make him turn around by force, so she commanded him with an intense stare.

Alan got another spike on his spine. He hurriedly rubbed his lips with his saliva but Rose instantly reached in front of him. But, his reactions were even faster. The moment she reached in front of his face, he turned his face to the left.

"You kissed me, didn't you?" Rose shouted when she found he could move his head this fast.

"Nooo! I didn't." Alan's tone changed a little. Unlike his previous voice, this was barely reaching her ears.

"You did. I just saw lipstick in your mouth. Wait, don't tell me you kissed another woman?" Rose's voice turned sour. She brought out few drops of tears in her eyes.

"No! No! No! I didn't kiss anyone else except you. Believe me, I haven't kissed anyone else." Alan slightly turned his eyes at her. When he saw her in tears, the fear grew in his heart. He immediately grabbed her arms and shouted in her face.

"Ouch!"

Suddenly, Rose pinched his ears and stretched them. Alan slowly looked at her face and saw those tears disappearing. Rose brings his head close to her and spoke with an evil smirk "You said you wouldn't do anything that I don't want to, didn't you?"

"Uh-huh!" Alan rigidly nods his head

"And, you just kissed me." Rose continued as her expression sank.

"I'm really sorry. I promise I will never do such anything without your consent." Alan immediately sticks his palms together and apologized.

"I am not mad at you because you kissed me," Rose spoke with a sigh. Her words suddenly lit up his eyes drowning eyes. But, her next words hit him hard.

"But, now I don't feel the way I used to feel. When you told me that you won't even touch me, I thought you would keep your promise. And, you did. At least, in most situations, you didn't touch me. And, the only time when you did was during some serious situations."

"So, I was happy. That's why I said you don't have to follow that promise. But now, you broke your promise and in the most hurtful way. Do you know why I slept in your arms?"

When she asked him, Alan couldn't utter a single word from his mouth. He stayed silent as she continued "Because I felt safe with you. I know you will always protect me. But, am I ready to give myself to you? No, I am not."

"We just met a few days ago. And, I am not ready. So, what you did hurt me a lot? It's not about the kiss. It's about you taking advantage of me when I was in my most vulnerable situation. Now, how do you expect me to feel secured around you?"

When she stopped, there was frustration and sadness in her eyes. At this moment, Alan clenched his hand hard. Her words felt like the knives piercing his heart. He was helpless. He wanted to resist. But her charm was invincible.

She looked too cute that he wanted to take a bite. And, he did. Now, he regrets. He should have waited. At least, he should have waited until she agrees.

"I'm sorry!"

Hearing his words that filled with sadness and sourness, Rose couldn't help but sigh. She knew Alan didn't want her to feel insecure. Suddenly, a thought rang in her mind.

'Am I really that beautiful?'

She smiled at herself with a little expectation. Then, she turned her head at Alan and said "For now, let's go! Your people should be waiting for you. But, I want you to promise me one thing, no four things."

Alan lifts his head with confusion in his eyes as he looked at her.

"First, you must eat the meal I make for you."

"Second, you must train knife with me."

"Third, you must give me the freedom to do what I want."

"Fourth, you must spend three hours a day with me."

"Huh!"

Hearing her conditions, Alan tilts his head with confusion.

'What the hell? Why is she asking for the things that I desperately want? That's unfair. You shouldn't be this greedy. At least, give me a chance to say the fourth condition.' Alan couldn't help but scream in his heart.

He didn't know whether to laugh or feel confused. But, he knows his heart was shouting out loud.

"Alright! Let's enter the gate, shall we?" Alan finally mustered courage after agreeing to her conditions. This time he didn't try to lift her into his arms. But, Rose's eyes suddenly sparkled with her jade-like skin shining as she spoke "Aren't you going to lift me in your arms?"

Seeing her face up close, Alan shouted in his heart.

'She is an angel.'
