2 She's Too Classy
Nanny Zhou went to find Wang Xiu Ying. She saw her coming from the children's room.
"Madam, master said you have a dinner invitation" Nanny Zhou said.
"OK thank you Nanny" Wang Xiu Ying said. This dinner invitation would make it the fifth invitation she had been to this month. There was nothing special about any of them, they were just ploys to get her husband's attention and she wondered why she had to attend. She sighed and went into her room went to her walk in closet. All the various events she has been to were always high class. The hosts put in a lot of effort just to please the Li family.
"hmm,what to wear?"she asked herself as her eyes caught one of the gowns in her closet.
It was already 7pm,Li Wei stepped into the living room looking dashing.
"Daddy are you going out?"Li Xiu asked as she held Nanny Zhou's hand.
"Yes"he answered
"can we come,please?" Li Jie asked innocently.
"Sorry but you can't"Li Wei answered as he saw his son's pleading face changed,he was very disappointed.
"why not?"Li Xiu asked as she left Nanny Zhou's hand and went towards her father as if she was going to fight him.
"Because it a party for adults and the both of you are still children and you need to get ready for bed" he said to the both of them and knew that they were not convinced.
"wow" Li Xiu said as she in amazement as she watched her mother who was wearing a black,sleeveless two piece gown along with ankle strapped open toe heels. Her high pony tail along with her choker necklace lined with tiny silver crystals and a mini silver purse which complimented her dress coming down from the staircase. She was completely stunning.
"mommy you look very very beautiful" Li Xiu said in admiration.
"yes,very very beautiful"Li Jie said as he said the word "very" countless times. Li Wei had seen her in dresses like this and each time she always looks gorgeous. This was a fact he had come to terms with ever since she had been living with him, casual or formal,there was no difference, he really has a beautiful wife.
"Sir, Madam its time to leave"Mr Cheng said.
"Listen its almost time for bed, no silly behavior,don't give nanny a hard time and just go straight to sleep" Wang Xiu Ying said as she kissed them goodbye and left.
Mr Cheng sat in the front with the driver while Li Wei and Wang Xiu Ying. Li Wei took brief glances at his wife and every time,she was always busy with her phone,checking her account for chats. Not quite long,they arrived at the prestigious Blue Stone hotel. At the sight of Mr Cheng, the paparazzi flocked the entrance of the hotel,trying to get pictures of the couple. The Li family bodyguards surrounded the couple as they came down from the car.
"Mr Li look here"
"Just one picture Mrs Li"
All these were the words of the paparazzi who were dying to take the amazing couple a picture but they were chased away by the bodyguards who led them into the hall safely.
"Oh look its CEO Li and his wife"
"I must say Mrs Li looks stunning in that dress"
"Mr Li is always spoiling his wife"
The guests whispered amongst themselves as they watched the couple approached Li Wei's sisters, Li Jing and Li Xiaomeng.
"hello" Li Jing and Li Xiaomeng said as they gave their brother a hug and forcefully gave one to Wang Xiu Ying.
Why bother? Wang Xiu Ying said silently.
"Where's mother and father"Li Wei asked
"come we'll take you to them"Li Jing said.
Li Jing and Li Xiaomeng were not in favor of the marriage between their brother and Wang Xiu Ying. They preferred someone in the same class as them like the famous supermodel Yu Yan who was their close friend.
Old Master Li and Old Madam Li were both chatting with Mr Gu when Li Wei and Wang Xiu Ying along with Li Jing and Li Xiaomeng approached them. After exchanging greetings they were led into the dinning hall by the manager. The dinning table was arranged in a beautiful manner.
"I must say manager this dinning table is very beautiful"Old Madam Li said as some of her friends agreed with her.
"I'm very pleased to know that you like it. Thank you Old Madam Li"the manager said. Actually this was the first time the Li family had ever been to his hotel so he put in so much effort and at the end of the day it all paid off.
As soon as the guests were seated, the waiters and waitresses stood beside each guests to take their order. The men,old women and of course Li Jing and Li Xiaomeng placed their order while some of the younger ladies deliberately stalled,waiting for Wang Xiu Ying to make the first move.
"What would you like to order Madam?" the waitress who was attending to Wang Xiu Ying asked gently as if her life depended on it. The waiters and waitresses were all given the profile of each guests for effective service. Those serving the Li family were completely putting on their best behavior. Li Jing and Li Xiaomeng along with some of their friends had gossiped that Wang Xiu Ying only knew Chinese cuisines. The guests were treated to all kinds of national and international cuisine.
"Salade Niçoise"Wang Xiu Ying replied fluently.
"Yes Madam" the waitress replied happily and counted herself lucky for studying French cuisines otherwise she would be in a state of coma.
"what is that?"the young women who were waiting for Wang Xiu Ying asked.
"I can't even pronounce that".
Not quite long, the waitress brought a plate of Salade Niçoise, a beautiful combination of lettuce,fresh tomatoes,boiled eggs,tuna,green beans, Nicose cailletier olives and anchovies. A light yet satisfying meal.
"so beautiful, I want that" the young women said to the waiters and waitresses who had been waiting forever.
"Her dress,her elegance leaves me speechless, Mr Li's wife is too classy"the guests said.
