Tutoring in the Library

Hu Chuntian was stunned for a second, then knocked his hand away. "I didn't ask for your sympathy, I'm asking how tutoring works."

"Then let me teach you, kay?~ Let's go to the library so we can study better!" Mo Aini took Hu Chuntian's hand and half-dragged him to the library.

Hu Chuntian was still reluctant. "Why should we go there when we can study here?"

(Because if we keep being seen in public like this, the rumors might start again, and I'm tired of that shit. I know how fast a fujoshi's mind works.)

As they went to the large, spacious library, Mo Aini was surprised to see two people sitting on one of the tables and reading.

"They're here!" Mo Aini's eyes brightened.

Hu Chuntian was following behind him and peered, "Who's here—"

His face darkened when he saw Mo Jiagei and Shu Chuanli.

He was about to walk towards them, when Mo Aini blocked his path. "Wait, wait, wait! We're here to study, Da Ge, not looking for a fight! Let's let them be for now, you'll get your chance with Mo Jiagei when you get to Class A."

Hu Chuntian scoffed and turned his gaze away. "Hmph."

"How about we go look for some books on the shelves over there?" Mo Aini offered, so that they would also remain hidden from the two lovebirds.

"What does she see in that rat anyway?" Hu Chuntian mumbled his complaints as he was pushed by Mo Aini behind one of the shelves. "I'm more attractive, richer, and overall cooler than him. I ride a monster bike that I won from a race and can defeat 20 guys in one fight. No matter where you look at it, you can't say that meek rat is more superior than me, right?"

Mo Aini thought to himself: (I see now. If I remember correctly, Hu Chuntian's four main character traits in the bio are arrogant, mischievous, insatiable, and violent. The Hu Chuntian in Gou Manchu's route showcases more of his mischievousness, but this one shows more of an arrogant side. They still show all the other traits, but one is more prominent than the others. It's amazing how they change the prominent trait for every route, the scriptwriters are smart.)

He didn't know that the reason for the prominent trait change was his interactions with the Hu Chuntian of each universe itself. But you can't really blame him since he had his memory erased.

"Hey, wimp. I'm talking to you. Aren't you a male-loving freak?" Hu Chuntian clicked his fingers, breaking Mo Aini's contemplation about his arrogance. "Who's better than the two of us, me or that Shu Chuanli?"

"Huh?" Is he seriously asking this now? Do his arrogance and narcissism knows no bounds?

"It's me, right?" Hu Chuntian insisted.

Mo Aini played along. "Oh, of course it's you, Da Ge! No one can compare to you!"

(Except for when it comes to smarts, Shu Chuanli is an ancestor compared to you.)

Hu Chuntian smirked, seemingly satisfied. "Good. Just checking if your eyes can see clearly."

"Let's go find a spot to sit over there!" Mo Aini pointed at one of the shelves and walked on it, then sat on the ground. "Here, this will be okay."

"Can't we just sit in one of the chairs? Maybe I would steal Mo Jiagei's attention and she will leave that little rat." Hu Chuntian said.

(That's exactly why I can't let you be seen by them!)

"But it is scientifically proven that people learn better when they are sitting on the floor or laying in bed than sitting on stiff chairs." Mo Aini made up.

"Really?" Hu Chuntian raised an eyebrow as he cautiously sit down beside him.

"Yeah...." Mo Aini gave a salesman smile. "Humans from the ancient times and the caveman period learn new things without sitting in chairs and tables. Their brain becomes more relaxed in this position so they process the information quickly. I do this all the time, that's why I can memorize the lessons so fast."

Mo Aini really has the skill to be a scammer if he only tried. He was too much of a goody-two-shoes in real life, and he doesn't have the guts of steel that he has now as a side character.

Hu Chuntian made a sound of consideration, and tried this 'scientifically proven learning technique'. He leaned on the bookshelves and peered on the books that Mo Aini had laid out on the floor, curious about what other unusual methods he have up his sleeves to become smart faster.

"Let's start with the subject you're having the most difficulty in. What's your worst score?"

"E-." Hu Chuntiam said calmly.

Mo Aini wanted to cry, (That's basically something near 0, bro!)

"Ok, and what subject is that?" Mo Aini asked.

"All of them."

Mo Aini blinked several times, not knowing what to say, only regretting doing this tutoring in the first place.

"Sigh.... Let's go with General Mathematics first then." He glumly opened the book and start teaching the arrogant, dumb brat who calls himself Tiger Emperor.

To his surprise, Hu Chuntian is learning pretty quickly. His arithmetic skills are the same as a 3rd grader's, but he willingly listens and has a surprisingly good memory. When he has a question, he doesn't hesitate to answer. When he was asked to solve a problem and he got it wrong, he still continues to find the answer until he get it right.

(It was all thanks to his supreme confidence and stubbornness to impress Mo Jiagei.) Mo Aini sighed, but felt pleased about his student.

While Hu Chuntian was busy answering some algebra, he stole a glance through the gaps of the bookshelf to see how Mo Jiagei and Shu Chuanli were doing. They seem to be talking about something when Shu Chuanli showed a picture of his phone.

Suddenly, a holographic screen appeared in front of Mo Jiagei.

[Shu Chuanli is inviting you to hang out on the weekends, and you can choose between two of these places. Which one do you pick?

>A cat cafe

>A theme park]

Mo Aini thought carefully. Shu Chuanli loves cats, he was said to feed strays whenever he saw them. This could also lead to a cute CG too. He was also scared of rollercoasters and thrill rides, and would never try one in his life. Sure, this could lead to something surprisingly sweet, but this is highly unlikely because of Shu Chuanli's personality. He may even end up telling Mo Jiagei to go to the more safer and boring rides, and it will be an awkward date for the both of them.

Unlike the time in the rain with Gou Manchu where he made him sick, Mo Aini thinks that this character's personality weighs more than the potential. Shu Chuanli is a very timid guy. You would probably earn plus points in his heart if you make him feel comfortable and stay in that comfort zone.

He drew a cat in an extra piece of paper, folded it many times until it becomes a sturdy paper plane. Then, he aimed for that paper plane to fly over to Mo Jiagei.

Mo Jiagei caught it, and she looked for the direction of the sender. Mo Aini immediately ducked from his sister's view.

Mo Jiagei opened the paper plane, and saw the cat. Then, she looked back at the holographic screen, and picked....

The theme park.

"Are you fucking kidding me!?" Mo Aini cursed out loud.

He didn't receive any remark telling him he gained Cupid Points, so that means his sister made a Bad End answer.

"What are you cursing about, I'm not even finished answering yet." Hu Chuntian turned to him and gave him an annoyed glare.

"Oh, sorry. I wasn't referring to you, Da Ge. I just felt the urge to go to the bathroom and I was cursing myself because it just had to come in the moment when I get to spend time with you." Mo Aini rubbed his head sheepishly.

Hu Chuntian scoffed. "If you need to go to the bathroom, just go. Stop acting weird, I'm trying to focus here."

"Alright!"

Mo Aini exclaimed then went to rush behind another bookshelf at the farthest area where no one was around, and talked with the system. "Mo Jiagei didn't listen to my advice!"

[Perhaps she realized that your advice led her to the Good Ending that is why she is trying to do the complete opposite. She must have also been weirded out by this mysterious help and advice in-game so she doesn't follow it anymore.]

"Then how else am I going to gain Cupid Points!?" Mo Aini asked. "My sister really likes Bad Endings, she might even go through cheat sites just to have one! How am I supposed to get the Cheat Pass now?"

[That is up to the user to figure out. Good Ending will give you more Cupid Points for future routes, but a Bad End would still give you some, only lesser. What matters is the player doesn't pick her preferred route.]

"Tsk. I still want to skip the whole prologue thing, it's very difficult to convince her to like these good boys!" Mo Aini gripped the ends of his hair. "Okay, Mo Aini. You could do this. You just use reverse psychology then. Give her the wrong answer, and she will choose the other thinking that it would lead her to the Bad Ending. Easy-peasy."

But another problem was that his moments to coach his sister is very limited because he couldn't see them often, so he really need to make it to Class A.

"I really need to study along with that Hu Chuntian too. Thanks for nothing, stupid system." He waved at the holographic system and returned to Hu Chuntian.

"I finished it all." Hu Chuntian proudly showed him the paper.

Mo Aini scanned it and whistled in surprise. "Whoah, you got a perfect score! Nice!"

"Math isn't that hard as I thought. All you have to do is follow the instructions and apply it on different numbers." Hu Chuntian shrugged. "However, there's one thing that I really wanted to be better at. It would definitely boost my grades without even studying so hard."

Mo Aini raised an eyebrow. "What could that possibly be? Studying is always important."

"Art."

"Art? You can go to Class A if you're good at art without having good grades in the exams?" Mo Aini's eyes widened with excitement.

"En. I'm a repeater so I've seen this before in my last school year. If your art project is so good that it made the baldies and hags cry, you will automatically get into Class A even with a B minus."

Mo Aini was thrilled at this. He's no expert, but he fucking finished graphic designing! This was his chance!

Hu Chuntian took a pencil and a piece of paper, handing it to Mo Aini. "I want to see how good you are in art, to see if you could train me."

Mo Aini took the pencil and paper. "What shall I draw? For how long?"

Hu Chuntian pointed to himself. "What better subject than me, of course. I'm sure you've observed my face for a long time since I'm your crush, so 1 minute would be enough for you, right?"

(Bastard. Nobody can make a decent portrait in 1 minute. Even Leonardo Da Vinci took fucking years to finish the Mona Lisa. Good thing you're an anime character and easier to draw, or I would have stabbed you in the eyeball with a pencil if you told me to draw you in one minute.) Mo Aini wanted to complain, but did as he was told since he was playing the crazy simp.

Hu Chuntian timed him with his Rolex watch, and Mo Aini want to fucking break it since it was obvious he was showing how rich he was. He shook his hatred away and focused on giving the 1-minute portrait the best he can. It turned out alright in the end, and he was pretty proud of himself, so he showed it without hesitation to Hu Chuntian.

Hu Chuntian observed it with droopy eyes, then gave it back. "Not bad."

(Not bad!? I bet you can't even draw something half as good as that!) Mo Aini wanted to pull this guy's blond hair out.

Instead, he said. "Aww, thank you, Da Ge! It means a lot to be even mediocre in your eyes. How about you try it, I'm really excited to see your own art skills! Draw me in 1 minute too!"

He shove a new piece of paper and the pencil to Hu Chuntian with a forced smile.

Hu Chuntian slightly nodded and went to work, very focused. Mo Aini promised himself not to peek and counted to sixty with his eyes closed. When he was done, he slowly opened his eyes and looked at Hu Chuntian's drawing.

".....Da Ge, it's better for you to aspire to have good grades than try to have a scholarship through art. Just keep studying."
