10 Mr. Tragic Flirt, Stop Horsing Around!

The next day, the school was already giving out signs to different clubs. Everything was moving through anime logic. Exams and festivals come on a whim but a confession scene would last for 10 episodes.

Mo Aini knows he will join whatever club Mo Jiagei is in, and use a fake name since he won't get caught anyway because of 'anime logic'.

Anime Logic states that side characters could not get into trouble and crime unless it involves the main characters or serves as a plot device. The worst that could happen to him is be the object of rumors for the next mystery dead man arc, and this isn't even a mystery story anyway.

Turns out that the plot of this otome is that Mo Jiagei would join the theater club and become the female lead despite being a new member. He guessed that the other guys will join her club as well, and the route that she chooses will become the male lead for the play.

On the Theater Club booth, Mo Jiagei was sitting with a guy with long brown hair tied up with a purple bow. His features were that of a foreign prince, his hair like that of a chestnut stallion. He was not wearing a school uniform, but a medieval costume. There's even a fake sword hanging on a scabbard at his waist..... And is that a corset?

An arrow was pointing at him with his name.

Ma Jianyu (LI)

A hologram screen appeared again, forming some words.

"Here comes his profile." Mo Aini guessed.

But instead of his long, detailed bio, the system said:

[Mo Jiagei's Impression of Ma Jianyu: 5%

Possibility of Route Being Chosen: Impossible

Cupid Points: 0

Please do better next time.]

"What in the fucking nine worlds!? Just 5%?????" Mo Aini cursed to himself, mouth opened wide.

How horrible is this guy to have his chances of being chosen impossible!?

He watched from the long queue of people joining the Theater Club. 90℅ of them are guys. Mo Aini was wearing a face mask, sunglasses, and a hoodie so that his sister would not recognize him.

"They say in this life a man must choose between a white rose and a red rose...."

Ma Jianyu said in a poetic tone, wrapping a pink rose with another purple ribbon. He handed this to Mo Jiagei. "But to me, you are both, my dear. Pure and passionate, why should I look for another? Mix red and white and it will be pink, therefore, you are my one and only pink rose!"

Two option choices showed up in front of Mo Jiagei.

[ > Receive the pink rose

> Say you are allergic to flowers. ]

She picked the last option.

"I am allergic to flowers, I feel like sneezing whenever I get close to one." She said.

"Ah, what a shame! Then I shall clear out even the most innocent of flowers for your safety!" Ma Jianyu proclaims.

[Mo Jiagei's Impression of Ma Jianyu: 4%]

Mo Aini felt Mo Jiagei's pain. If he was already cringing enough to the point of vomiting blood, what more would Mo Jiagei be?

It was now Mo Aini's turn to fill up to form, and he deepened his voice. "Good morning."

"Good morning. Are you sick, sir?" Mo Jiagei asked him. "It's spring and the temperature is not that low. Why are you all covered up?"

(So you won't recognize this gege and be the cause of his death!)

"I have a communicable disease." Mo Aini lied.

Ma Jianyu immediately blocked Mo Jiagei from him. "Then you should stay in a hospital, sir! You might infect my princess!"

"Er...It's not that transferrable, as long as there's no skin-to-skin contact it will be ok." Mo Aini calmed them down.

"Ay, if it was me, I wouldn't know how to live!" Ma Jianyu sighed. "Not being able to feel my princess' delicate soft hands would be worse than death itself. But it sounds so tragically romantic at the same time, to never show your true face to your beloved and never touch them! That would make a brilliant play!"

He smiled with his slightly large teeth at Mo Aini. "Thank you for the wonderful inspiration! What is the name of your sickness?"

"Uh... No-Touch Syndrome." Mo Aini made up.

"Let's change it to Untouchable Syndrome!" Ma Jianyu took a pencil and wrote it on a piece of paper. "I will make sure to give justice to your suffering and transform it into a wonderful piece of art!"

The system made a beep, and now showed Ma Jianyu's profile.

MOTTO

"If music be the food of love, play on! Give me excess of it so that it overflows and my appetite would sicken, and so die." (Shakespeare's Twelfth Night, Act 1 Scene 1)*]

After reading the bio, the scene continued again.

"What is your name, my untouchable friend?" Ma Jianyu asked him.

"Uh.... Jie Taime." Mo Aini remembered his former player name and used it again as an alias. An online friend was the one who came up with it for him and he stuck with it.

Ma Jianyu gasped, holding a hand over his chest. "Pardon! Je ne pouvais pas accepter ton amour*! I only love my princess!"

"Huh?" Mo Aini tilted his head to the side.

"You were not saying 'I love you' in French?" Ma Jianyu asked.

"Is that what it means?" Mo Aini wanted to smack his online friend on the head.

"Yes. I was rejecting your confession and ready to offer my generous friendship instead, but it turns out that was truly your name." Ma Jianyu sighed, twirling the purple ribbon on his hair. "How embarrassing, I do admit I was flattered that someone would confess to me using the language of love."

"I'm not a girl, though. Why would you be flattered?" Mo Aini blinked.

"Any form of affection deserves to be appreciated, because unrequited love is the most painful sickness of all! Besides, this is the first time someone confessed to me, and it turns out to be a misunderstanding after all. Ay, woe is me!" Ma Jianyu said.

Mo Aini did feel a little sorry for this unhinged guy, he's just imaginative and a little frivolous, but he's a good guy.

Too bad his sister will never like this kind of romantic and doting character!

"If my princess would confess to me, I would feel a whole lot better from this incident." Ma Jianyu winked at Mo Jiagei.

Mo Jiagei rolled her eyes. "I did nothing wrong to confess anything to you."

Mo Aini tried not to laugh. (You couldn't just sass him like that, the poor guy's already being pathetic enough!)

Ma Jianyu pouted, a childish pout but his eyes showed that he really was upset. He was just hiding it through overdramatic gestures and expressions. "I'm really hurt, my princess. But no matter, love has always been so cruel!"

He turned to Mo Aini. "Don't you agree, Sir Taime?"

"I guess?" Mo Aini shrugged.

"You guess? You don't know much about love, do you?" Ma Jianyu cluck his tongue disapprovingly. "Let this master teach you! I know all about chivalrous romance, you will soon know that it is the most beautiful yet painful feeling in the world! But the pain just makes it so addicting that you—"

"Can you two stop chitchatting? Hoodie Guy is holding up the line."

A gruff voice complained from the back of the queue.

"I only stayed in this line anyway because the girl might get upset if I cut. But screw all that." He chuckled. "I'll do whatever I want."

Whoever was the speaker started to bump people away and cut through the line, not caring what their reaction may be.

"Hey! You stepped on my foot!"

"Just let him pass! He might break your nose!"

"Ack! It's the Tiger Emperor! Everyone make way!"

This man parted the dense line like Moses parting the sea, and his face was now revealed.

Mo Aini internally cursed. Isn't this the guy who started the food fight yesterday!? He's the reason he lost his chance with Shu Chuanli!

Then he saw the white arrow pointing at this blond tiger jacket guy, who was sneering smugly with a cigarette on his mouth.
