When Hu Chuntian woke up, he found himself a few years older, in a luxurious home in a skyscraper. But the worry was in his heart.
His Da Ge wasn't here.
"Da Ge!" He called out to the large empty bedroom, went out, and saw the empty living room too. He panicked---
And suddenly received a call. It's from She Haoran.
"President Hu, this is to remind you of the meeting at 8 o'clock today. The investors are already waiting for you. What time will you arrive?"
"Huh? What meeting---"
"There's also the job interview for that person. He is already here, and quite eager to meet you. If you will be running late, I can have someone else interview the person instead---"
"Who is it?" Hu Chuntian's heart immediately pounded on his chest, like he can sense it already.
"Surname Mo, sir." She Haoran blinked. "Did you forget?"
"I'll be there in 5 minutes!"

Mo Aini adjusted his necktie for the 100th time.
This isn't his first time working in this company after all. He had long been in the managerial team, and it just so happens that the former secretary, Shu Chuanli, got married and had a child so he would have to step down. He's been eyeing this position for years and now he finally has the chance, however slim.
He has a lot of competitors for the spot that has better work experience, but he'd still give it his best shot. Especially since the president of the conglomerate itself requested to personally interview him.
He had never met the president himself, only seeing pictures and hearing stories about him. His very first thought when seeing his picture from the company's presentation was only this:
"What a powerful Alpha."
Mo Aini himself is an Alpha, but he had always been insecure when he sees someone more powerful than him. He had no luck finding a mate, and he even tried to have relationships with Betas, but they all fail.
Someone like Hu Chuntian probably doesn't have those difficulties. Lucky bastard.
He pushed his thoughts aside when the assistant told him to enter the president's office.
He bowed to the assistant, and bowed again when he entered. "Good morning, sir."
Once President Hu saw him, the president immediately stood up. "Da Ge!"
Mo Aini could only blink. Did he mishear? Maybe the president forgot his name?
"Uh, my name is Mo Aini, sir. Nice to meet you." He awkwardly offered his hand to shake.
Hu Chuntian was crestfallen. Mo Aini doesn't remember him after all. He glumly took the hand. "Yes..... I know. Sit down."
But just as Mo Aini did, he suddenly become uncomfortable. This scent.....
It's so strong! It felt like it was overtaking his whole senses completely!
"Sniff.... sniff..... Sir?" Mo Aini turned around to look at the assistant outside. He doesn't look like an Omega at all, and neither is this man in front of him. So he could only ask. "Did an Omega interviewee come before me here?"
Hu Chuntian tilted his head to the side, confused. "No?"
His eyes widened, suddenly getting excited. He's in an omegaverse world!
"Huh. These pheromones... It's making me nauseous a bit." Mo Aini said. "But I'll be alright, sir. I can still take the interview."
Hu Chuntian can smell it too. His Da Ge's scent, only 10x stronger. Does that mean....
"Here's my CV, sir. Please review it." Mo Aini tried to ignore the overpowering scent, handing his papers to the president.
Hu Chuntian pretended to scan it, and only focused on the information he wanted to look for. And there it was, in the bio.
[Gender: Alpha Male]
Now it makes sense! His Da Ge is an Alpha, and he is an Omega, and since they can smell each other's scents so strongly just from the first meeting, that means...
"We're a Fated Pair...." Hu Chuntian muttered, his lips couldn't help quirking up quite a bit.
"Huh?" Mo Aini raised an eyebrow.
"Nothing. Your resume seems good, Mr. Mo." Hu Chuntian quickly acted like a proper president would. "However, I don't think just an interview at my office for a position of a secretary would do. You need to prove that you and I are compatible, since you would not only be accompanying me during work hours but outside of it as well."
"I'm willing to do anything to prove that I'm deserving of the position, sir. What do you have in mind?"
Mo Aini straightened his back, and Hu Chuntian almost thought he was going to give a salute. It was so adorably hilarious.
He inhaled deeply, savoring the scent in the air for a bit. "Well...."

"Hey, Da----Er, Mr. Mo! Don't be shy, drink some more!"
Mo Aini couldn't understand. Is this really a proper way for a president to choose his next secretary?
By drinking beers in his house!? Watching foreign movies like a couple!?
"I..... I think I had quite enough, sir. Thank you." He said politely, since this will be his future boss. "About the position for secretary...."
"Hmm?" Hu Chuntian was closed to being wasted, sitting with his leg up on the couch, very casual and unprofessional. His eyes were droopy giving him this siren-like look that can captivate someone completely.
Mo Aini looked away. He's an Alpha, what's so captivating about a fellow Alpha? "Did I get it? The position, sir?"
"Oh.... Right, right." Hu Chuntian wrapped an arm around his shoulder. "You got it, congratulations!"
Mo Aini edged further away, but was happy for succeeding. "Really? Thank you, sir!"
"Mm..... You're welcome...." Hu Chuntian clung to him with both hands on his neck now. "How about a thank-you kiss---"
"I better get going, then." Mo Aini gently but firmly pushed him away. "Thank you for this opportunity, Mr. Hu, I will not make you regret your decision and strive to help the company reach its excellence. Good night."
He was very calm in rejecting, but in his head, he was in complete panic. (FUCK, IS HE SERIOUSLY FLIRTING WITH ME??? DOESN'T HE KNOWS I'M ALSO AN ALPHA???? I'M NOT AS MACHO AS HIM BUT HE CAN'T POSSIBLY HAVE THOUGHT I WAS AN OMEGA, RIGHT???)
Hu Chuntian frowned, blocking him from going out the door. "Don't leave! There's still a lot of booze, and the movie isn't finished yet!"
He pouted like he was acting cute, and Mo Aini was even more incredulous. (Isn't he a grown man now? Why is he acting like a child?)
He tried to reason with him. "Sir, I really have to go because I have business to attend to at home. I have..."
He tried to come up with an excuse that will surely let him go out, and he blurted out:
"I have a wife."
Hu Chuntian's eyes widened, like his whole world had just crashed and burned down from those words.
Isn't this supposed to be a good dream? It turns out to be a nightmare after all!
But they were a Fated Pair.... He's sure of it....
He immediately took Mo Aini's hand, and hit the jackpot. "Aha! Then if you do have a wife, Mr. Mo, why aren't you wearing a ring?"
"I.... Well...." Mo Aini didn't expect to be caught red-handed so easily. "I took it off since it's dangerous if it got lost...."
"Fine, fine." Hu Chuntian pretended to accept the answer, but then grinned. "Then why does your CV say that your marital status is single?"
It was just a bluff, but Mo Aini looked like he was now stuck with one foot on a grave that he dug himself. "I.... I misspoke. She's my fiancee, we're getting married soon....."
"Really? Then why don't we contact her?" Hu Chuntian raised an eyebrow. "Let her know about the good news of you becoming secretary....."
On his hand was his phone! How did he manage to take that so quickly!?
"Hey, give that back, sir! This is an invasion of privacy!" He tried to reach it, but Hu Chuntian just giggled while running in circles in his living room.
"What do you call her, by the way? Honey? Baobei? Sweetheart?" He scanned the contacts, and just like thought, it was empty. "Or do you just add A- in her name affectionately?"
"It's none of your fucking business!" Mo Aini was so mad now that his facade was broken. "If you don't give that back, I will---"
He pushed Hu Chuntian, tackling him to the ground!
"Oww~" Hu Chuntian whined, but didn't stop laughing. "How rude of you, Mr. Mo~ I'm your boss, hahahaha!"
"Boss or not, this is improper behavior! Forget it, I don't want to be the secretary of someone like you anymore!" He grabbed Hu Chuntian's wrist to yank his phone away. "I quit! Go find someone else and take care of that smell of yours! You stink so bad!"
"My smell? What's it like, Da Ge?" Hu Chuntian leaned closer to the man above him, his expression full of mischievousness. "Do you feel drawn to it, like I do? My pheromones.... Does it make you want to move closer to me too?"
"I don't know what the hell you're.... talking about...."
But now that they're so close like this, the scent has permeated his nose and ignited a flame in his veins that immediately spread all over his body. It's impossible to resist, so powerful that his mind couldn't focus on anything else other than this man in front of him. There is nothing but the two of them, and that strong pull, consuming his entire being.
He's going on a rut.
"Impossible.... ha..." Mo Aini fought back as much as he can, but he can't even pull away for just a millimeter from Hu Chuntian. "You're an Alpha and I'm an Alpha..... I can't be..... Shit....."
Hu Chuntian blinked, then laughed cordially. "What makes you think I'm an Alpha?"
"What? But... you're tall... and muscular..... and.... hah...." Mo Aini was overcome with both confusion and overbearing arousal.
Hu Chuntian considered this. In truth, he wasn't even sure if he was an Omega or not, he just assumed since he and his Da Ge are Fated Pairs. But also.....
He can feel it, slightly churning up his insides, so unbearable, yet so good at the same time. It's painful, it's pleasurable, and there's only one explanation for it. It's so hot, like it was burning him, and he needs his Da Ge to light it up even more.
Heat.
Both of them had lost all logic and was overcome with instinct, no more words to say.
It all began with a kiss.
A kiss so good, so passionate, that one could feel like they're really melting.
Clothes ripped and tossed to the floor, limbs entangled and voices creating one symphony.
Mo Aini felt himself desperate to push through this man more, to pierce a hole through him so big that it will forever stain him. He never felt this with anyone else, and he wasn't a believer in Fated Pairs, but he can feel it deep in his bones so he could no longer deny it.
Hu Chuntian is only his, and he is only for Hu Chuntian.
And they share the night with each other, this long night full of ecstasy from finally finding each other. A perfect connection.
