4.12 SANGUINE LOVE: Zero regards

Mo Yinan feels sick. Rats have to be his least favorite animals. He despises their squeaking and grinding teeth and their sewage-colored coats. They are but moving bodies of disease and filth. 

He's lucky that Cassander is there to save him from their relentless assault. Waves and waves of those creatures come towards them, their scuttling feet drum against the ground repeatedly. But the Captain of the Mageknights erects an impenetrable barrier of ice and wind. His silver sword cuts apart their meaty body, painting the walls with gory red. 

But not even a single drop of blood finds itself on Cassander or Mo Yinan's body. The winds that surround them gust in particular ways, protecting them from the filthy mess created from the violent onslaught.
