4.06 SANGUINE LOVE: Dire

Withermine is in a dire state. This becomes especially obvious as the density of warning signs began to increase, as the road grew more and more narrow.

The land morphs from plains lush and green to a dreary strait of dry, barren land that seems to stretch for miles and miles. The people who travel this road are scant, compared to the healthy traffic that populates the one that Mo Yinan had been on before.

He spots armored knights that march on into the horizon, their bright banner shines with pride in contrast to their dark expressions. The others he spots on this particular path are seedy types that side-eye him as they pass. Not a single one of them travels without a weapon to their hip and Mo Yinan's starting to feel a bit naked in that regard, so he makes sure to keep a good distance from others as he continues forward.
