12 Intense Training

"Alright, now that that we're all here, let's begin!"

Wu Yu and the brothers had just gotten to the food hall a few minutes ago. Having woken up the earliest, Wu Yu had arrived in the food hall first and ate a quick breakfast.

It wasn't very long until the two brothers had made it into the food hall as well, along with an extra person. The girl that he saw sleeping on the couch before was also trailing behind them.

When the two brothers had arrived, they noticed that Wu Yu was already there, chowing down on his food, waiting for them so the two joined him.

"Brother Yu, we're here!" the two brother exclaimed as they say down across from Wu Yu.

"Alright, now that we're all here, let's begin!" Wu Yu finished off his last plate of food as he said that.

The two brothers looked wronged and complained, "brother Yu, you can't do that, we haven't even had our breakfast yet."

Knowing that he was too much in a hurry Wu Yu sighed then said, "fine, eat fast, we'll start right after."

After all three had finished their breakfasts, Wu Yu led the two brothers out of the food hall and towards the isolated field the headmaster had shown him the day before.

Wu Yu was planning on training the brothers the entire morning since it was the only time frame he had open as he had to meet his master in the afternoon.

When the three had arrived at the isolated field, Wu Yu started speaking, "alright, the three of us will be training our bodies and skills here for the next five years so get ready for my special training."

The way Wu Yu had said special training sent shivers down the brothers spines but they nonetheless nodded.

"Okay, since we don't have any weights right now, we can instead do the most basics, I'll ask for weights from my master later." Wu Yu said.

The two brothers were a little surprised and asked, "brother Yu! you have a master? no wonder your so good at fighting!"

Wu Yu didn't want to go too much into it and just nodded, "we'll start off with running laps around the field, no stopping until you've ran 10 laps around the field, even if you have to crawl there."

"What? brother Yu, isn't that too much?" the two brothers took a deep breath as they looked at how big the field was, wasn't this just asking them to kill themselves?

Wu Yu just shrugged as he started running, "I'm not forcing you guys to do this, you can leave any time you want, I invited you guys to join because I saw you had potential."

The two brothers looked at each other as their faces slowly morphed into one's of determination before they looked back at Wu Yu and started running after him.

Seeing that the two brothers had followed after him caused Wu Yu to smile as he thought, 'I wasn't wrong about these guys, they have determination.'

The training had proved to be very harsh for the three as by the 7th lap the two brothers were really tired and had started to slowly jog while Wu Yu had lasted only until the 6th before he started slowing down as well.

It was understandable as Wu Yu had been malnourished for most of his life while the two brothers had a nice family and were living healthily for theirs.

By the time all three were on their last and final lap, all of them were basically like crawling corpses, clawing their way through their last lap.

when they finished, all three were heavily breathing on the ground and multiple times felt like vomiting but were all repulsed by the idea of doing so.

They were all sprawled out on the ground for over half and hour before they finally regained some of their energy and could finally sit up.

"We'll be doing this everyday and once we get used to it we'll increase the intensity but for now let's start on skill training." Wu Yu said while standing up, even though his legs were still shaking.

The two brothers also struggled up to their feet and just nodded as even speaking right now felt tiring. Wu Yu put some distance between the brothers then told them to come at him together.

For the rest of the morning Wu Yu just sparred with the two brothers, teaching them how to fight and calling them out on bad habits.

When the afternoon came around all three were on the ground again but Wu Yu had something to do so he couldn't stay any longer and said to the brothers before he left.

"This is enough for today, I have to meet my master now so I'll be going, make sure not to do anything more strenuous for today and get some good rest."

After Wu Yu left, a girl with dark purple hair walked out from behind a wall and looked at the two brothers. She quickly ran to the food hall and got some water before heading back to the two brothers.

Rushing up to them, she kneeled down beside them and lightly tapped them to get their attention. When the two brothers noticed her with water in her hands they seemed a little surprised but were more interested in the water.

She understood what they wanted and helped them drink some water, which they completely emptied out. The water was so refreshing to the two brothers that they had almost cried out in happiness causing their faces to look really scary right now.

The girl helped them sit up then stood in front of them then asked, "are you two alright? you guys looked like you might've actually died."

"Thank you for the water, we're both fine just exhausted." both brothers said at the same time causing the girl to have the same reaction as Wu Yu when he had first met the twins.

"Um, so listen, I saw you two and that boy with the black hair training and I was wondering... can I maybe join you guys?" the girl suddenly asked causing the two brothers to be a little surprised.

They looked at each other then asked the girl, "are you sure? the training we do is pretty intense and I don't think brother Yu is the type to show any kind of special treatment to anyone."

The girl shook her head, "I'm not looking for special treatment, I just want to get stronger so I can... anyway, so can I join?"

The two brothers just shrugged and said, "we'll ask brother Yu first, you're in our dorm right? we'll give you the answer later."

The girl only nodded then bowed to the two brothers before walking off on her own. The two brothers just watched her walk off and thought, 'what a shy girl, must've been charmed by my good looks.'

When Wu Yu had arrived at grandmaster's room he lightly knocked on it while supporting himself against the wall, proof of how exhausted he was.

When the door opened a familiar but unfamiliar face was standing at the door, holding it open while looking at Wu Yu who was in really bad shape.

"Haha, Tang San, I see you've already met master, can I come in? my legs are killing me." Wu Yu joked a little when he saw Tang San.

Tang San looked back into the room to see grandmaster nodding and so he let Wu Yu in. Struggling his way to the couch, Wu Yu collapsed onto it and finally relaxed.

Turning his head towards his master who looked worried, Wu Yu said, "haha, sorry master for coming in such a condition, I was a little too into training."

Hearing Wu Yu's state was the cause of training wiped away some of grandmasters worries as he nodded, "don't over work yourself little Yu, being dedicated to training is good but training too much isn't good for anyone."

Wu Yu just nodded and reassured his master, "I understand master, don't worry, I'll be careful when I train myself.

Grandmaster smiled then "Anyway Tang San, I know you already met little Yu here before but you two should reintroduce yourselves as you two are now fellow disciples."

Tang San looked at Wu Yu and realized he did recognize him and said, "Ah, so it's senior brother Yu, I guess I'll be in your care from now on."

Wu Yu peered over at Tang San and nodded, "likewise, I'll be in your care as well junior brother San."

"Alright, I called little Yu here today so you two can meet but I also wanted you two to be her because I have something important to say." grandmaster said as he brought a glass of water to Wu Yu who drank it all up while listening closely.

"Little Yu, Tang San, in 3 days time I'll be taking you two to the star dou forest so we can get your first spirit rings." grandmaster said with a smile.

Wu Yu and Tang San both seemed to get a little excited hearing what their master said and both reacted in similar ways.

They both nodded and said, "thank you master!"

After that Tang San left as he had his own things to do while Wu Yu stayed.

"Master, I think I'm going to be here for a while." Wu Yu said while laying motionlessly on the the couch.

Grandmaster nodded and said, " take all the time you need, I'll head to the headmaster and tell him about our plans.

Wu Yu stayed in grandmasters room recuperating himself for a while but when he was finally able to move again he decided to go back to his dorm room and rest there.

When Wu Yu had gotten back to his dorm he was surprised to see that the two brothers were sitting in the living room, talking to someone he had seen before.

"Huang Da, Huang Bo? what are you guys doing here?" Wu Yu asked as he walked in.

The two brothers were also surprised, the only person who wasn't was the girl who had always been aware of the people in the dorm.

"Brother Yu? shouldn't we be asking that? this is our dorm after all." the two brothers said as they pointed at the two door in the middle that had their names on it.

Wu Yu looked at where they were pointing at then scratched his head then said, "what? I could've sworn those two doors had a different name two days ago."

The girl who was sitting suddenly spoke up, "actually, I can explain that. See, living in this dorm have strict requirements."

"The biggest requirement is being a genius which I assume all of us have, you can also get in here if you have high enough status though."

"having the least talent in this dorm can end up causing you to get kicked out of here if another more highly talented individual joins the school."

Wu Yu finally took notice of the girl sitting on another couch, separate from the brothers. He walked to the couch set across from her and introduced himself.

"Hello, my name's Wu Yu, I don't believe we've had the chance to greet each other yet." to which the girl greeted back, "Lin Yuhan, nice to meet you."

There was a weird atmosphere between the four as they just looked around at each other aimlessly before the two brothers finally broke it.

"Ah, that's right big sis, didn't you have something to ask brother Yu?" the brothers and Lin Yuhan had gotten to know each other for a while now so they were a little more familiar with each other.

Lin Yuhan nodded then looked at Wu Yu, "I saw the three of you training this morning, I would like to ask if I could join?"

Wu Yu looked at the two brothers who nodded then he turned to look at Lin Yuhan and said bluntly, "I don't mind if you join but if you fall behind on the training, we won't be waiting for you to catch up."

"I don't need you guys to wait for me, I'll always keep up with the training." Lin Yuhan said firmly.

Wu Yu gave a kind looking smile but to everyone there, it was incredibly scary, he then said, "good! welcome to our little training group, be ready to be in a world of hurt."

With everything sorted out, the four talked a bit more then heading into their rooms to rest. Then when the next day came around all four of them ate together before starting their training.

For the next two days this scene would repeat itself as all four of them would get back into their rooms tired and exhausted.

Wu Yu had already told them about his little trip with his master so when they had to separate for that day, Lin Yuhan, Huang Da and Bo already knew what to do for training while he was gone.

On that day, Wu Yu got up bright and early to meet grandmaster in his room. When he got there he saw that Tang San was already there, chatting with their master.

"Little Yu, you're here, are you ready to go?" grandmaster asked to which Wu Yu stuck up his thumb and exclaimed, "yep!"
