7 Chapter Seven

Alex's POV

"Where's Lisa?" James asked as I helped him stand up.

"She's gone home." I lied.

"Isn't she supposed to follow you to Drake's birthday event?" He asked.

I frowned. "Are you in love with her?" I asked and he laughed.

"I don't fall in love with girls, I only want to spend a night with her and boom, our relationship is over." He answered.

I laughed. "You're a bad guy, I just hope she finds out about your intention soon." I said.

"That's if you don't tell her."

"Don't try to molest her if she doesn't want you around her." I warned and he laughed.

"You don't know what I'm capable of doing." He replied.

"I'm just telling you not to hurt my staff."

"I should go home, I don't think I'll go to his birthday, I should visit Kate tonight." He said.

"Who's Kate?" I asked.

"She's my new girlfriend." He answered and I hissed.

I raised an eyebrow in surprise. "What about Lisa?"

"She's just a fish in the sea that I caught, I'll eat it anytime soon." He said and walked out of the cafeteria.

I frowned and Kassam walked in injured. "What happened?" I asked.

"I managed to lock her inside the warehouse, she won't be able to come out."

"Good, take care of your injuries later, I don't want to be infected, let's go to the event now."

James's POV

Louisa walked into my office as soon as I sat down. "Louisa, what are you doing here?" I demanded, aghast as she sat down on the chair.

"I love you and I know I can't give up on you easily, I'm deeply in love with you even though you might not love me back." She answered and I frowned.

"I don't love you, leave my office." I ordered.

"I won't, you agreed that you'll never leave me, you bought me things and just when I decided to sleep with you, you said you were no longer interested in me." She reminded.

"Look, I find it hard to love girls, I only love to explore them and dump them, I'm sorry I didn't tell you from the start." I said.

"I did everything for you, I even dumped my boyfriend for you."

I chuckled. "I didn't ask you to dump him, you wanted to taste a new food and you got it, we both had fun so I shouldn't be the one to blame." I replied.

"I want to be your girlfriend." She said and I laughed again.

"We can only be friends, I mean friends with benefits." I replied and she hissed.

"You'll pay for this." She said and walked out of the office.

"You'll pay for this." I mimicked. "Such hoely bissh." I said loudly and laughed at my statement.

I walked out of the office, I needed to get something from the warehouse, I forgot my designs there for Naomi Campbell's event.

Lisa's POV

It was already almost two hours and I was sure the birthday event would close in less than an hour. I didn't know how I could get there, I left my phone at home, I couldn't even call James.

Suddenly I heard footsteps approaching the warehouse and I ran to the door and banged it loudly. "Someone's here, please help." I screamed.

"Who's there?" I heard a voice, I recognized the voice immediately.

"James, it's me, Kassam locked me in here." I shouted.

"Okay, move away from the door." He ordered and I shifted backwards.

He pushed the door open at once and I ran out. "Thanks James, has Mr Alex gone to the birthday event?" I asked.

"Yes," He answered. "I think Alex has to do with locking you down here." He said.

"I also think so, I need to get there, I need Drake to thank me for making his event successful."

"I'll drive you there in my car, it's faster than taking a taxi."

"Ok, let's go." I replied.

Alex's POV

We arrived at the venue and the muscular men in front of the hall greeted me with respect. "Drake really loved how the event started, he loved the karaoke session and other musicians sang too." He said and I smiled.

I brought out my phone and showed them Lisa's picture. "This is Lisa, she's one of my officer, I don't want to see her in this event, if she comes, tell her to show you her invitation card, if she doesn't show you, don't let her in." I ordered and they nodded.

"But why sir?" One of the men whispered and I slapped him.

"How dare you ask questions? You're in no place to ask questions." I answered with a frown and walked in with Kassam.

Lisa's POV

We arrived at the town hall and I came down from the car. "That's Alex car." James said pointing to a blue Lexus car parked near then hall.

I came down from the car but as I proceeded to enter, one of the guards stopped me.

"Where's your invitation card ma'am?" He asked and I remained silent. I was not with an invitation card.

I didn't know what to tell them. "She's with me, she's my wife and here's my invitation card." I heard James voice and he came from behind me and handed a small card to them.

"Forgive me ma'am." He pleaded and I nodded as he let us enter the town hall. Everyone was having fun, I couldn't find Drake and Alex anywhere.

"Let's check the garden, Alex's not here." He said and we came out of the hall and went to the garden.

"That's Alex, I bet he must be telling them that how good I am, he should certainly promote me." I said and James chuckled.

"Of course, he should." He replied and I walked towards them.

Alex's POV

"Thanks for the recommendation, I didn't know you would like the birthday party, it was simple and classic." I said and he smiled.

"I loved it, I enjoyed myself most during the karaoke session," Drake replied. "So who planned the event?" He asked.

"Of course, I planned your birthday event, I just didn't want to give it to my staffs, I wanted it to be the best event in the world so I did all the preparations myself, I even suggested we did something simple." I lied and he smiled.

"That's great." He commended and I turned back and saw Lisa looking at me shocked.

She definitely heard what I said. She was right behind me.
