9 Chapter Nine

James's POV

The door opened and Alex walked in. I quickly jumped off the bed and he looked at me. "What were you trying to do?" He asked.

"Nothing, I was just trying to make sure she's asleep." I lied.

"Were you trying to take advantage of her?" He asked and I rolled my eyes.

"I wasn't trying to do anything, she got drunk in the eatery and I decided to bring her to a hotel." I answered.

"I'll stay here and wait till morning, I don't trust you, we'll both sleep on the floor and my eyes will be watching you." I said and removed my shoes. I also removed my socks and kept inside my room. I dragged him to the floor with me and wrapped my hands tightly around his waist.

"I'm not comfortable sleeping on the floor with you." He said and I sat up.

"No problem, let's go to my house, I'll take Lisa along, you guys can stay there for sometime before you head back home." I replied and stood up.

"Did you bring your car?" He asked.

"Yes." I climbed the bed and lifted Lisa up, I carried her and opened the door, I climbed the stairs and took Lisa to my car.

I slept off immediately.

THE NEXT MORNING

Lisa's POV

I woke up and sat up on the bed, I yawned and cleared my throat, the room was different from the hotel room. I stood up and walked to the bathroom, a new toothbrush was there already, I tore it and brushed my teeth quickly.

I came out of the room and was surprised to see Alex. "What are you doing here?" I asked, confused and he frowned.

"Is that your way of showing that you're grateful for staying at my place?" He asked.

"I'm sorry, where's James?" I asked.

"James tried to rape you last night." He answered and I chuckled.

"You should stop lying, ur actually doesn't suit you." I said and James entered.

"You're awake."

"Yes, I was a little surprised to find myself in Alex's house." I replied.

"I'm still your boss." He corrected me.

"Last time I checked, you fired me."

"Well, I just said it out of anger, it doesn't mean anything, you should meet my family." Alex said and dragged me out of my room.

We climbed the stairs together and I met a guy downstairs. "Hi." He said.

"Hey, I'm Lisa Montes." I said and he smiled.

"I'm Oliver Taylor, Alex's younger brother." He replied.

"Mr Alex, you didn't tell me you had a brother, a younger brother."

"I don't say everything Lisa, I'm happy you're here." Alex said and I smiled.

"So we're getting along?" I asked.

"Yes we are for the meantime, we're friends and we're getting along but when Monday starts, office duties resumes." He answered.

"You don't have to be a tough brother." Oliver said and walked up to me. "I'm into older women." He muttered and I chuckled.

"You don't flirt with my staff." Alex reminded him.

"I do what I like."

James came to meet me and handed me a cup of tea, I hurriedly gulped it down my throat and dropped the cup on the table.

"I should get going." I muttered.

"No, you're not going anywhere, I mean, this house would be boring and I'll be bored." Oliver said.

"Yeah, he's right." James agreed.

I smiled at Alex, he also smiled at me. "So how did you know where I was?" I asked.

"I'm sorry but I inserted a tracking device on your phone." He answered and I frowned.

"Without my consent, Alex?" I asked.

"Yes, without your consent and I don't regret my actions, I don't trust you with my male staff." He answered.

"Lisa's a decent lady, I'm sure she won't even think of damaging the organization's reputation." James said and I smiled.

"We should probably play truth and dare." Oliver suggested.

"Isn't it for kids?" James asked and I shook my head negatively.

"No, it's not." I said and sat on the door, the rest joined me and we started. James rolled a pencil and it landed on Alex's side, he was the one to ask a question of his choice to anyone.

"I'll ask Lisa, what was your last relationship like?" He asked.

"It didn't end well, I was this introvert and he was an extrovert flirting with all my best friends." I answered, truthfully.

It was my turn to ask questions, I looked at James and smiled at him. "How many people have you broken their hearts?" I asked and he frowned, scratching his head.

"I didn't expect that question but it's more than 50 girls, I've broken their hearts into pieces and spared no piece." James answered.

"Really? 50 girls?" I asked.

"Yeah, that's a huge number and you might later become part of them." He answered and I frowned.

"We're not dating and I would never date you James, let that sink into your head." I ventured angrily.

"So it's my turn to ask," Oliver said and licked his lips. "Do you date young boys?" He asked and I chuckled.

"No, I don't." I answered with a smile even though I understood the reason why he asked that question.

The pencil rolled again and it was my turn to ask Alex a question. "Why do you behave like a bad person sometimes?" I asked.

"I'm perfect, not bad, newsflash, there's nobody in this world that's better than me." He answered.

I managed to smile even though I hated his answer. The pencil rolled and it was Oliver's turn. "No one's dared anyone, I think it's high time I help you guys, so I choose Alex." He said and paused.

"Anything you ask, commander. I'll do it without regrets." Alex replied.

"I dare you to kiss Lisa." Oliver dared and my heart skipped a beat, I stared at Alex who stared back at me shocked.

"I object to this dare." James protested and Oliver chuckled.

"James, don't challenge anything I do, you might endanger your life." Oliver threatened.

Alex stood up and walked towards me.
