8 Chapter Eight

Lisa's POV

I was shocked and I ran out of the hall and entered James's car.

James came to meet me and entered the driver's seat. "What's wrong?" He asked.

"Alex is a psycho, he told them that he was the one who planned the event, I don't think I can work in his company again, I want to resign." I answered and he frowned.

He heaved a deep sigh. "Lisa, it's not advisable for you to quit, Alex will give you a bad recommendation and no one would want to employ you." He said and my eyes widened.

"He'll do that?" I asked surprisingly.

"Of course, he feels he own the whole world."

"I pray I don't lose my temper one day." I muttered and he started driving.

"Do you want to go home?" He asked.

"I don't want to go home, my parents are the ones who forced me into going to his company, they're responsible for my predicament." I answered.

"Should I take you to my house instead?" He asked.

"No, let's just go to an eatery, I'll find my way after that." I answered and he nodded. Before he could start the car's engine, Alex came in front and hit his car. James came out and went to meet him angrily.

I came out of the car and looked at Alex. "Were you expecting me to say you planned the event and watch you get the credits?" He asked.

I raised an eyebrow in shock. "Why did you let me plan the event if you know I wasn't going to take the credits for the event?" I asked back.

He feigned ignorance. "James, I can't let you take Lisa." He said.

"Are you nuts?" James asked. I always wondered how James was able to stand up to Alex who was his boss.

"Look, stay away from Lisa, she doesn't love you." Alex answered.

"And who said I don't love him?" I asked and walked to James, I squeezed his hands gently and looked at Alex. "He doesn't treat me like trash, he's not a bad person and he's totally not a psycho." I added.

"Look Lisa, James is not who you think he is." He said and I looked at him.

"I don't know what you're talking about." I replied. "My job in your office is over for today, tomorrow's Saturday, I'm not coming to your organization and one more thing, what I do with guys is not your concern." I replied.

"I understand you were a prostitute before I gave you this job." He said and my eyes widened. "But don't try to seduce my friend or my worker." He added and I slapped him.

"Mr Alex, I work for your job doesn't mean I can tolerate your insults." I replied.

He held his face in anger and looked at me. "Guess what, you're fired, I don't want to see you in my office on Monday." Alex said with anger.

"Alex, calm down, you can't just sack her like this, she can still sue you for lying to Drake and the press that you planned his birthday party which was successful." James reminded me.

"You want to fire me, of course, I'm tired of working with a mad man for a boss, you've lost a gem." I replied and turned to James. "Let's go."

I entered the car and James also did the same, he reversed and drove off.

Alex's POV

I frowned.

Lisa's last words dawned on me.

'You've lost a gem.'

I feared James was also in love with her, Kassam came to meet me. "Boss, you're trending on Twitter with the hashtag Alexevent. The people believe it was you who planned the whole event." He said.

"That's how it should be, James's taking care of Naomi's show, it shouldn't be a problem." I replied.

"Boss, I have a feeling James will try to take your company away from you." Kassam said and I looked at him.

"No, he won't." I replied.

"Get the car ready, I'm going home, it's getting dark already."

James's POV

We reached the hotel room, Lisa was really drunk, she was angry with herself for making Alex fire her.

I couldn't leave her in that state, I opened the hotel room door and carried her to the bed, I placed her on the bed and went back to the door. I carefully jammed the door and went back to look at her.

She was already sleeping, I admired her face for a long time before looking at features. Her skin looked smooth and I admired the two big breasts.

"James, control yourself." I said to myself and stood up, I didn't want to take advantage of her but I wanted to. I was confused, I shifted backwards and looked at her again. I knew what my body wanted and I wanted to go for it. I went to meet her and touched her face.

Alex's POV

The tracking device showed that Lisa was already in the hotel room. I walked into the hotel and went to meet the receptionist.

"Sir, will you like to pay for a room?" She asked.

"No, I don't come to cheap and less equipped hotels like this, I'm Alex Taylor, I don't deal with cheap things," I bragged and she became embarrassed. "I'm actually here to see Lisa Montes, she came with James." I added and she glanced through her book.

"Yes, she's already in her hotel room, let me call her and tell her you want to see her." She suggested.

"No, there's absolutely no need for that, it's a surprise, I don't want you to ruin it." I replied.

"Okay, her room number is 306." She said and I nodded.

"Thanks."

James's POV

I looked at her again and hesitated for a second, I wanted to go but I couldn't, I wanted her and I was sure of it. I stood up and removed my shirt, then I removed my singlet and my trouser leaving my boxer on, I sat on the bed and made to kiss her.
