9 Chapter 9

After all of that, they ate some candied bliss berries and went back home to rest. Timbere tries to call his parents to come and pick them up at Marianne's place. His parents told him that they had to go to a very important business meeting and that they had to find a place to sleep. He asks all of his friends. Pyra's mother then shows up and asks him why he has that pouty expression. Timbere explains his dilemmas to her and she agrees to let him and his brother stay for a night at their house. Barke falls asleep as they ride the astral bus back to Pyra's house. It turns out to be almost an hour long ride back and all of them fall asleep until the bus makes an abrupt stop. Pyra's mother wakes up and walks to the front of the bus where she sees that a giant tortoise blocking the road of the bus. The streetlights have already been turned on and she seems to be in a very big rush to get back home. She wakes the three of them up and tells them that they're going to ride the even faster transportation service of Creen, the west wind. Guarded by the wind custodians, the west wind is the most expensive transportation service which explains why according to the Creen Zine, only 20 to 50 people use it. They travel as fast as the wind blows, and arrive at their house shortly after. They eat some dinner and they instantly fall asleep. The next day, Timbere and Barke tell Pyra's mother that they have to go home because their parents have a strict policy that they have to study from dawn until dusk on a Saturday. A few hours later, Pyra runs to the west wind until she stops because she sensed a black figure running around her. She turns around and sees a tall silhouette reaching out and grabbing her wallet in hand. The silhouette softly whispers, "Long time no see". Pyra then tries to grab her wallet back from the shadow and it said "Just give it to me! You owe me this for all of the help I've given you". Pyra dashes to the flashlight in the distance and shines it at the shadow. "The magical alien ?"Pyra said. "It's Nightrine, remember?" the alien told her. Pyra then runs into the west wind and gets swept away to the new café that just opened yesterday. Pyra was craving some native Creenian food like bliss berry tarts and others. She opens the hardwood door and looks around the store that was called "Clink Nativity". The cashier looked fresh out of school, she had her hair in a bun, tied with a ribbon and a ponytail fixed to the right side of her head. She had a sapphire tied to a vibrant red string as her necklace. Mopping the floors was a guy that looked pretty familiar to Pyra. His hair was really spiky and he was wearing a green tracksuit with their café's logo. Pyra then proceeds to ask the cashier "Good morning, uhhhh, do you have any smoothies?". The cashier then says " Good morning, I am Saph and we do have smoothies, we have them in the flavours Bliss Berry, Violet Villa and Creen's Finest which is made out of all of the berries found local to Creen that are not poisonous of course". "Nice meeting you, Saph, how much for Creen's Finest ?" Pyra asked. "Only 30 Clinks" Saph answered. Pyra then bought one and went to Connie's house to get her to go with her to the town square and hang out. She reaches inside her pocket and realizes that she had already spent all of her money and left her phone back home. She wandered around for a bit until she saw Nightrine's silhouette again in the corner of her eye. She runs after the shadow that turned out to be a shape shifting flower monster. Now, Pyra was lost in the city and had no method of contacting any of her friends or relatives. Things got even worse when she realized that a big group of dark clouds were approaching Creen, and at an even faster rate. She hears the arguing of some random people beside her and walks far away from them.
