1 Another day

Something along the lines of "hhrnmuguh" came from my mouth, as I finally gave up on trying to sleep through my alarm clock. Begrudgingly getting out of bed to start my day, I shut off my alarm clock and unplug my phone from its charging stand. I do a half-assed stretch, then check my phone's Lock Screen for the time, the date reads Saturday, 8:09am. After pondering why I set my alarm clock on the weekend, I decide that my brain was probably on auto pilot when I got home from work yesterday.

I make my way to the bedroom door, stumbling over a pile of laundry, that I have been avoiding putting away for the last week or so, and open it. I walk into to the kitchen, and opened the pantry to grab a box of cereal. I then got a bowl from the cabinet, and milk from the fridge, accidentally spilling some, as I poured it into my bowl. Before I could sit down and eat, a knock at my door interrupted my train of thought.

Still not fully awake, I turned around and rushed towards the door, slipped on the spilt milk, and smashed the back of my head into the counter with an audible cracking noise, the everything went black.

My eyes opened and I found myself in the process of getting the cereal box from the pantry, and felt a massive sense of deja vu. I went to where I slipped, only to find that there was nothing spilt, no signs of anybody slipping either. It felt almost as if I loaded my latest quicksave in a game. I made a mental note to talk about this hallucination with my psychiatrist, and then it happened. Like a episode of the twilight zone, someone started knocking on my door.

As I make my way to the door, looking where I am going this time, I answer the door.

Standing in the hall, there is a tall dirty blond man with gelled up hair and and a massive smile.

"Hello super friend!" The person chirped.

W H A T ?

"Erhm, do I know you?" I ask

"Not yet, teammate!" He replied, still grinning widely

Ok, this is downright creepy. "Yeah, no" I say as I quickly shut the door and make sure it's locked. Almost immediately the knocking starts again. Really?

I walk back to my kitchen, and Pour myself a bowl of cereal, not bothering to get the milk this time, all while trying to ignore the incessant knocking at my door. I go to take a bite- "DING DONG" goddammit, they discovered the door bell.

After unplugging my doorbell and opening dotify app to drown out the noise with music, I finally finish my task of eating breakfast. No longer hearing any knocking, I check the door and find no one there. Letting out a sigh of relief, I quickly took my morning medicine and went back to bed.
