4 CHAPTER ONE

College And New Friendship

"We'd be late for Leeds and you know how that man gets when someone enters the class after him" That's Debbie. She's my best friend and roommate. She's literally the best although she could get very much overwhelming sometimes. We were at College together. Always been together since nineteen. She's a bit too perfection oriented just like me although I could slug sometimes.

"We'll rule the business world and tell him to stick a finger up his ass" I smiled as I applied more make up to my face. Be it class, church, the mall or even a damned cafe,no offense sweetie,I cared for my looks. Well, who doesn't?

"He'll be the one telling you that when you get an enormous E" I scoffed.

"Like he can give me an E? I'm Regina,Deb. You should be worried though, your name starts with a D which you would most likely get". She scoffed, too annoyed to give a comeback. I picked up a brush with a knowing smile. "A bit of mascara and more brown powder to my face. Thin eyeliner and a darker blend of blush to complement my brown ponytail. Darker shade of pink lipstick would be good for my eyes. Or should I use red?"

"Gina!" She glared

"Fine, fine. I'm done, okay?" We picked our bags, locked the flat and hurried to the cafe just outside the building. Soon,we were in a cab, latte in hand.

We got to Preston College right on time but I knew we would surely be late for class. Leeds' class was at the far end of school and Preston College was wide and magnificent.

It was a mini huge school facing the far end west of London. The main entrance had a big white gate with a museum looking mansion overlooking it. And the side entrances were less populated with students. Trees were at each side of the black gate. The steps leading to the inside of school was old but still glorious despite the age.

Preston College was thirty six years old and I loved the aura the school gave.

We were twenty minutes late for Leeds class and we both said a short prayer before pushing the door open. No one was in. On cue,a guy I recognised from class passed and I excused him.

"What's up with Leeds'?" I asked with a smile.

"Class was called off for reasons unknown" Came his indifferent reply.

"Bet we needed the break,uh?" Shrugging,he left. So cold,I thought.

"Ugh!" Debbie cried. I laughed and took a quick picture of her frustrated self. She glared at me. "Don't let me pour your drink all over you since I can't afford mine going down your soulless body"

I zipped my mouth with my hand, noting her serious red mood.

"This is so unfortunate"

"I think otherwise. At least we did not get to face the wrath of Leeds' strangling glare. Something you both have in common." Her glare returned. She looked at me like she wanted my head off before walking along.

"I'd rather endure his complaints and stares than get all meshed up later"

"It is a glare, honey and routine would be rearranged. This isn't unusual."

"I know but we don't have any other class for today. Coming here was a waste of not just time but money and you know how much we both need money right now. I would have caught up on exercises, done yoga or visited the spa. Maybe learn a recipe from Nana and teach you something later on. I would-"

I was so caught up with watching Deb's face to every complaint made,I missed a step and bumped into a person. My eyes widened as I watched my coffee go all over her.

"Oh my god! I'm so sorry. I wasn't paying attention and all. I'm really sorry. I could be clumsy sometimes." I apologised and tried wiping the stain off with a kerchief.

"You'd get your hanky stained" She laughed and stopped me from cleaning her up.

"I'm very sorry"

"It's alright". She smiled. "I'm Erin by the way." She was a beauty. She had super model legs and curves with the very height I admired. She was red haired with a beaming smile. She towered over me.

"Regina. Gina." I smiled at how friendly she was despite the knowing fact that my saliva was all over her. Ew. "Oh and this is Debbie,my best friend"

"Hey" Deb pulled out a really fake but enthusiastic smile only I could tell. Ever suspicious. "Thanks for being cool with Gina but we'll go now" I frowned at her. Erin too.

"Oh...alright" She left us standing in the hallway.

"That wasn't polite,Deb"

"It was the best thing to do. She's too smiley faced. That's really weird. She is supposed to be mad!"

"Everyone's different,Deb. You really should stop thinking something's fishy with everyone you meet".

"Its safe that way!" I scoffed. 'Remember Jeremy? You said he's a nerd so couldn't be dangerous when you were in high school. I mean, who even thinks that! What happened with him again?"

"Alright,I get it. But still, you were too much and too harsh on her" And then Erin walked past us again.

"See?" Deb complained. I rolled my eyes.

"Hey Erin" She stopped on her tracks and turned to face me. "Would you like to hangout with us today?" Debbie's eyes widened.

"Me?" She fixates a shock gaze at us.

"Yeah. Deb would like to apologise for the way she spoke to you and you know I really messed you up" We laugh,of course without Deb.

"I'm not apologizing" Deb whispered in a hiss.

"But I can't move around like this. Maybe another day?"

"That'll be great."

"You could change" Deb and I exchanged frowns when we made a jinx of opposite replies.

"Don't you have classes today?" Deb quickly came up with another way to get rid of her.

"Uh,nope. Professor Leeds class got cancelled"

"You study business management too!?" I screamed. She nodded. "You're so hanging out with us like forever" She laughed. "Lets get you into something first."

"Where would I do that?"

"Our apartment." I turned to look at my disapproving friend "Right,Debbie?"

"Right" She muttered and sauntered away on lead. I was so going to be murdered later.
