"Nana, do you even know where you're taking the both of us?"

Renjun utters, gazing at Jaemin's back as he let the latter lead the both of them out of his room and to the hallway, their footsteps resonating through the hall that stretches beyond.

"Well.. No. But there are signs hanging above the ceiling everywhere. As long as we follow it, we won't get lost!"

Jaemin chirped.

He is just as clueless as Renjun is. He never got the chance to look around on his own. He used to know the parts of the hospital, but the hospital got renovated over the past few years and Jaemin would sometimes have troubles thinking because of his condition.

But that is what makes it thrilling. He liked the idea that Renjun is the one to accompany him. He liked the thought that this can hopefully make them forget about their worries even for a while. That is, as long as Jaemin doesn't suddenly cause an episode in the midst of their adventure. The place isn't the best place to start an adventure, but it's not like the pair have other options.

"First stop: the ground floor!"

Renjun sighed in defeat, chuckling as he continued to follow Jaemin around. He couldn't help but feel a sense of ease, seeing how happy he made his best friend. He wishes for more moments like this.

A happy and cheerful Na Jaemin.

"I had a lot of fun. Thank you, Renjun. I wouldn't have been able to do any of this if it weren't for you."

Jaemin breathed, taking a quick glimpse at Renjun, who was walking besides him.

"Anything for you, Nana. How are you feeling?"

The latter asks, leading the way to the cafeteria after Jaemin said he was starting to feel hungry, moments ago. He knew Jaemin wasn't allowed to eat before his therapy but the boy insisted on visiting the cafeteria. The brunet said that if he couldn't eat, then Renjun should eat for him instead.

"My nerves have calmed down and I no longer feel anxious. I think I'll do well on the therapy."

Jaemin exclaimed, all smiles.

"That's a relief. I would have taken you outside if I could.. I know how bad you want to go and experience the world outside."

"It's okay. I can suffice with this surrounding a bit more."

Suddenly, Renjun's phone began to ring inside his pocket. Causing the both of them to stop on their track. Renjun met Jaemin's gaze as he picks his phone up from his pocket.

"Urgent meeting.."

Renjun muttered, sadness washing over him.

"You should go, Renjun. I'll be fine. I'll wait here."
