12 Aami: Day 1 with BTS

Wind danced, blinding the night with ice white dust. I incline against the window pane trying to catch the snowflakes. They melt away the moment they touch my palm. I loved the snow. It made me happy and warm inside although that wasn't quite the case of my skin.

The next morning I wake up to the sound of the alarm on my phone. I open the bedroom window. The icy cold air smothered me sending chills down my spine. The first thought that came to my mind was that of getting myself a job.

Knock

Knock

I open the door to see Namjoon, smiling holding two cups of coffee.

"Good Morning." says Namjoon handing me one cup. The steam from the coffee entwine the air like a creeper on a huge banyan tree.

" Good morning....uhh please come in. "  I tell him with a surprise smile.

" Thank You so much for the coffee"

"First of all I apologise for yesterday. Jimin...he can be a little stubborn at times. " says Namjoon sipping the hot coffee.

"Umm yeah it's fine. I'm sure he has his reasons. I.. I.. Uh.. Oh...so.. Thank you for the coffee. Namjoon? RM? Oppa? Now that I'm staying here how should I address you? " I ask him with lifted eye brows while sipping the warm coffee.

"Ahh you can address me anyway you want." Namjoon says shyly.

"Okay. I guess I'll call you Joonie?? You are older than me. Do you think that's disrespectful? Is that okay with you?" I ask him trying to read his expressions. He seems to have blushed a lil bit and with a shy smile agreed to me calling him Joonie.

"What should I call you then?"

"Aami would be fine." I laugh.

" Okay, Aami, we have practice and uhh we'll be back only at around eight in the evening. So, I just wanted to know if you would like to join us?"

"No.. I'm working. I'm a worker. I.. I.. I.. work. I go to work. " I blurt out.

I was not good at telling lies. I hope he believe what I told him.

"Okay, then uhh see you later." Namjoon says with a confused expression.

It took me a while to find a reasonable job that fit my requirements when I first arrived at Korea. I hope I find one soon.

After washing up and I go downstairs to greet the boys. Jin, Yoongi, Jimin and Namjoon were in the kitchen making breakfast. Taehyung and Jungkook were nowhere to be seen. I'm guessing they are still in bed. Hoseok was busy brushing his pearly whites with earphones on his ears, oblivious to the world.

"Good Morning everyone". I smile.

" Good Morning Aami" says everyone uniformly.

I look over at Jimin. He dared not give me eye contact. The way he was slicing or should I say murdering the poor carrots was a clear indication that he was displeased to see me.

"Aami, come join us for breakfast", shouts Namjoon from the kitchen watching me leave in a hurry.

"Ahh, I'm kinda late for work Joonie. Gotta run. Bye. Have a wonderful day guys. " I tell them closing the door from behind.

"Fighting", shouted a sheepish Hoseok busy bushing his teeth.

I walk down the busy street. Aside from the brown of the trees disrobed of its luscious green, the other colours visible were the snow covered decaying leaves and the people in their warm colourful sweaters sipping coffee as the morning sun spread her golden wings.

I spent the whole day hunting for a job. Most of them asked me to submit the documents containing my personal information since I couldn't do that, I refrained from accepting the jobs even though they offered good money. I needed to keep a low profile. I couldn't risk being discovered.

"Sir, please help me out. I need this job."

"Okay, I'll appoint you for now. It's going to be temporary but if you excel , I'll give you a permanent position. This is a busy restaurant so just try to keep up with it."

"Okay Sir. I won't dissappoint you."

Finally I was able to get myself a job at this new restaurant, "The Kimchi Palace". I have an added advantage over there as the rules of the restaurant states to wear a safety mask at all times, this way my face can be concealed all the time.

I hope that police officer don't follow me here. All thanks to him, I lost my old job at "Momo's".

Now that I'm staying with the BTS, this job wouldn't be enough to cover the expenses. I need to find another one as well. I didn't like depending on others. I wanted to sustain myself on my own.

Later I managed to get myself the job of a window cleaner that payed good money but at the cost of sacrificing my sleep, since it was to be done at night time.

When I returned to the dorm in the evening , Namjoon asked me to join them for dinner. However, I declined.

I was dead tired and needed to hit the bed as soon as possible. My body finally gave in ; the very moment I layed on the bed, I fell asleep.
