11 Now You Finally Quiet

Lysa was so immersed in her thought that she didn't notice a knock resounded on her door a few times. When she realized there's a person outside her door, she immediately shouted, "Coming." She starts running toward the door and opened it.

As expected the one who knocked is Elder Tonpa. He was standing there outside her room door with a slightly grim face. Lysa immediately understood what's that expression means. But she pretended didn't know and smiled, "Good morning, Elder Tonpa."

Seeing Lysa smile like as usual, Elder Tonpa heaved a sigh and didn't know how to deliver the news to her.

"What's wrong, Uncle?"

"Um...I'm sorry Lysa. The meeting didn't go well and most of the elders reject my proposal."

Although Lysa already expects that outcome, she still couldn't help but feeling sour hearing it from Elder Tonpa mouth. So, she replied weakly, "Oh..."

Elder Tonpa quickly changed the topic to ease the atmosphere, "By the way, how many days are you planning to settle here? If you want to stay here for a long time, I'll give you some jobs that suit you."

Upon hearing his words, Lysa broke free from her thought and answered with a slight ponder, "Maybe tonight." If she couldn't get the quota, then what's the point of wasting more days here?

Elder Tonpa stunned upon hearing Lysa reply, "So soon?" This lady just arrived yesterday and already wants to leave?

Lysa smiled, "Yes, I need to go somewhere. Moreover, I need to investigate my past." Her last sentence was said in a low voice that Elder Tonpa didn't manage to hear it clearly.

Elder Tonpa sighed and didn't persuade Lysa anymore, "Just be careful later. If you ever need help, don't hesitate to contact me."

Lysa nodded her head and didn't refuse his offer.

Both of them chatted briefly before Elder Tonpa excused himself as he got another matter to attend.

As a vampire, Lysa knew that travelling on broad daylight as the same as courting death. That's why she planned to go when night came. As for her preparations, she got no stuff and would only bring herself. When she talks to Elder Tonpa earlier in the morning, she also asks for directions to the nearest big city.

And Elder Tonpa didn't disappointing her because there's a city that happens entered list of "The 20 Essentials City of Miride Kingdom." near Lewin Town. And so, Lysa planned to go there this time. Maybe there would be more opportunities for her to regain her memory back.

Afterward, Lysa didn't hesitate any more and silently left the guest house. She didn't bad farewell to Elder Tonpa and Lyon because Lysa didn't want to bother them anymore. Because of her strong physique, Lysa didn't need to walk normally as an ordinary person did. Instead, she jumped from roof to roof to fasten her speed.

Only a few minutes passed and Lysa already arrived on the outskirts of Lewin City. Because the guard was only an ordinary person, they didn't slightest notice Lysa presence. Lysa didn't want to alert the guard as well, so she quietly dashed to the road that headed to Yair City. Her silhouettes slowly disappeared along with the darkness of night.

A purple moon hanging on the sky quietly brightening the darkness that envelops the whole world. Lysa didn't take the main road as it takes more time and instead uses a simple method, that is jumped from tree to tree. However, she didn't expect that jumping like a monkey would drain her energy more than she thought. Lysa didn't have another choice but to rest for a while. She surveyed her surroundings and about to rest when her eyes caught the light in between the thick trees. Lysa squinted her eyes to see clearly and she guessed the light was coming from the firewood that burned.

Although her resistance was quite strong, Lysa still felt a little cold after jumping around in the middle of the night. So not want to waste this opportunity, she decides to approach the person who burns the wood. At first, Lysa wants to frankly appear in front of the person, but after contemplated for a while she shook her head at that idea. She didn't know if the person before her is a kind person or not. If the person turned out to be a bandit that would be troublesome.

With that thought, Lysa quietly sneaked closer toward the source of light. A moment later, a sharp screeching sound flashed across her. Lysa didn't flinch from her current spot but bravely faced up against the object that shot toward her. Lysa raised her palm and blocked the object that directed toward her. If there are things that she confident about, that thing is her strength.

*Bam*

The collusion between the two was quiet, but only Lysa knew how much the power that objects have. She even took a few steps back to stabilize her stance. If it was a normal person, probably the person would immediately die. Realizing that fact, Lysa eyes turned cold and shouted with anger, "You bastard! Didn't you know that you shouldn't rude against a woman!"

But there is no response.

Lysa loses her patience and swiftly jumped to the bonfire location. But as Lysa arrived, she gets bewildered. Because there's no one around except herself. Before she is able to react, Lysa felt a chill on her spine and quickly turned around. However, Lysa reaction seems a bit too late because that person already arrived in front of her. Lysa reflectively threw her fist against that person face. But the man easily blocked it with his palm and turned the table around by grabbing Lysa fist.

When Lysa realized that her fist had been caught, she lifts up her leg and swings it without hesitation. The man snorted and caught Lysa leg by his other hands. Seeing her two attack attempts failed, Lysa felt frustrated for a moment before brandishing her other fist. However this time the man didn't wait for another Lysa attack and quickly pinned Lysa down to the ground.

Lysa was caught off guard by the action and exclaimed surprised, "AAAHH"

The man didn't stop there and rapidly pinned both Lysa hand above her head. He also placed both his knees against Lysa thigh to prevent her retaliate. Lysa hatefully stared at the man before her. She felt humiliated and scared at the same time. This is the first time she ever undergoes a case like this. After scrutinizing the woman before him, the man finally opened his mouth, "Now you finally quiet."
