1 Chapter One

Zaccai sat at her bay window, watching the birds in the nest that was in the tree by her window. She could hear the birds chirping happily, they were small and cute.

She felt good knowing the little bird had both parents there, for she remembered meeting a bird whose parents were eaten by a snake, she never even knew snakes eat birds. Shaking her head she averts her mind back to the happy family of birds by her window.

Zaccai was innocent and naïve not knowing much about the world around her, only what her dear parents showed and taught her. Hoping to protect her, they hid away many things that could harm her.

A bad word? the innocent being she was, believed it was just a replacement for another word, but she still shouldn't say it. Since she was told by her parents that it could hurt another person.

Death, she thought it was just God awaiting your arrival to take you with him, which is true but she thought you could only die by the hands of God.

Sexual intercourse, all she knows is that it is a method of reproduction, but not knowing how it's done or other branches connected to it. One time she believed the term sex was gender when her parents explained to her not to do so.

After seeing the birds fly away from their nest she got up and stretched, her body was aching due to sitting down and watching the birds for over an hour which was just apart of her daily routine. She can't help but chuckle at herself.

Her parents had limits on the things she did, Zaccai is hardly in command of her life and she believes that it's normal.

After she was finish stretching, sitting back upright she mutters to herself, "I'm hungry." Trudging her way to her door, she heads down the stairs.

Reaching the final step on the stairs, she saw her parents cuddling on the couch watching 'Friends' and she only knew the name of the TV series because she saw the intro of the song once. Upon hearing the song she smiles, it was a great song.

She longed to have a relationship, just like her parents one day. A relationship that gave her a feeling of comfort and happiness.

Going into the kitchen, she took out the jar of mayo and two slices of bread, her taste in food was weird. She took pleasure in the strangest of flavors.

After making a mayo sandwich she sauntered into the sitting room with her M&B sitting down on the one-seater, as she started to slowly munch on her lunch loving the saltiness but kinda sweet taste it gives.

Her parents have still not seen her so she was lucky enough to even have the chance to watch 'Friends'.

After some time her parents noticed the quiet but still soundly sound of chewing and swallowing.

Zaccai is usually a quiet girl so she could walk in on anyone without them knowing, well unless she was eating then you would surely know.

Mr. and Mrs. Tevel (Zaccai's parents) slowly turned their heads to see their 18-year-old daughter watching the television while eating, with some mayo on the corner of her mouth. Noticing that her parents saw her, she only turns and smiles.

They quickly turned off the television because according to them, "Friends is a mature show meant for adults only." Unfortunately, she hasn't seen "Friends" as much.

Mr. and Mrs. Tevel detangled themselves from one another and comfily sits up in the chair watching their only daughter slowly eating her lunch.

Swallowing her last bite Zaccai smiled at her parents with a light in her eyes that had never diminished.

"Honey, when did you come down? We didn't hear you". Mrs. Tevel said with a slight shake in her voice hoping she didn't see them kissing on the couch.

"Just a few minutes ago mama, I felt hungry, so I came, to get a snack," Zaccai answered softly with a grin on her face.

Letting out a breath of relief Mrs.Tevel stood up from the couch and walked over to Zaccai she then held her hands out for her daughter.

"Come on, let's go make dinner." She says with a gentle smile, as much as they were protective of their daughter they still taught her life lessons like cooking.

Zaccai quickly got up agreeing with her mother. Cooking is one of her many favorite activities to do since she gets extra food as a reward for helping out.

Mr.Tevel had also gotten up, kissing his wife and daughter's forehead he smiles and says, "I'm gonna go fix the car in the garage. Call me when dinner's finish."
