12 Interlude 1: A battle not seen in a thousand years

Kensei Ma POV

The disciples had just left an hour ago.

I walked down the corridor leading to the exit hoping to go out and buy some new material.

I wondered if they were importing the latest Playboy magazine, Fantasizing about my favorite models, Deciding to check the convenience store as soon as possible.

even if they hadn't it wasn't worth the risk of not having the latest magazine.

I moved towards the exit of the dojo, humming a tune, I couldn't help the feeling that something was about to go wrong.

I realize I need to use the restroom so I move that direction instead.

A few minutes later, I began to move towards the exit of the dojo again.

Only to feel an Immense battle aura.

An explosion sounded out from the entrance.

The battle aura mixed with Sei Ki and Dou Ki, which means we have a strong contender coming.

But then I felt it.

152 styles of Style-Ki slammed into existence together, filling the air with a malice unmistakable.

Sure, it was 67 styles more than last time, but this could only be one person.

As the air charged with hamon, I Immediately Summoned my stand, activating it's ability.

Fast as lightning, and bolted towards the ki signatures of the disciples.

I had to get them out of the town! This place was going to be less than a crater when the two most powerful martial artists were done.

There was no negotiating with Hanma.

As I reached the gate which was empty of its doors, having been evaporated by an immense force, I rushed forward.

"Running is bad, Running is evidence of weakness. I don't like weak people." I heard. I turned to see the speaker, knowing I had less than a fraction of a fraction of a second to dodge-

I felt strange.

I felt like I was floating.

Why can't I see anything?

I moved.

Nothingness.

Appachai Happachai POV.

An explosion rocked out from the gate.

I looked over, to see-

"Ah, I think you'll go first, maybe I can get the old man to fight for real this time."

an arrogantly Irreverent voice said, cold as the ocean in winter.

An immense Ki and Battle Aura flooded the area.

I floated away.

I felt nothing at all moments later.

Hayato Furinji POV

I prepared my stand, Midnight Serenade, to use its ability, as soon as I could get all of my family members in range at the same time. I was too late to save Kensei and Apachai but I'd be damned if anyone else died today.

I stared directly into Hanma's eyes. His grin was in place even as he just killed two of my family.

"Old men get weaker as I grow ever stronger, tell me, Hayato, Have you even gained any more strength since I last saw you ten years ago?"

I didn't respond, I knew nothing I said could convince this monster that his ways were wrong. I tried 10 years ago and It won't make a difference now. As Shigure and Akasame entered the range of my Style Ki, I Immediately activated Midnight Serenade's first ability Cosmic Rift to tear open a hole in space that led directly to Tokyo at the same time as I use Astral Chorus to move the three of them into it.

I turned back to see Hanma holding Akasame's left leg, which isn't something to worry about as Akasame could heal that in less than 24 hours. The thing that made me absolutely furious was the fact that he was holding Shigure's left eye.

"You-" I whispered, My battle aura responding to my fury. I knew that the only thing medical Ki couldn't fix at the upper echelons of power, were eyes and the brain.

I grimaced and said nothing else as he waved Akasame's leg in the air and waved it around like a sick trophy.

There was nothing to speak about.

I flooded my body with Hamon as he did, and we began to lift off the ground as only ones who reach the level of legendary grandmasters can.

We both activated One second unconscious at the same time.

Everything around us shattered as explosions rocked the area. Yuujirou hanma's stand, Dragon's Flame Activates it's one and only ability Destiny's Fortification, which increases all his parameters massively, We flitted around the city things exploding around us as fists and legs flew at beyond hypersonic velocities.

My stand detected two individuals capable of being selected to be spatially swapped for a particle of air and smirked.

Zack, with a terrified look on his face, was clutching Miu and running past the edge of the forest outside of town. I no longer needed to hold back. I added every style I knew, even the ones I hadn't finished refining into my 108 styles and we clashed again.

302 styles clashed against 152 styles and it seemed the battle was in my favor.

Hanma began to laugh happily as I beat him senseless blocks of the town evaporating at every swipe of our arms.

I felt Uneasy though.

He added another 75 styles and grinned menacingly.

The gap began to close as from then on he added style after style to his Ki. One at a time.

Finally he had 303 styles. At this point we were wiping away large swathes of land areas below us. Much of it evaporated as magma poured in to fill the gap left in the wake of our destruction.

After 30 minutes of nonstop back and forth I started to lose my breath.

Hanma smiled at me.

He gave me an honest, innocent looking, kind smile as if his actions weren't absolute evil.

"You did good old man."

His voice echoing across the expanse. I noticed using my stand that we were standing in the air exactly above where Ryozanpaku once laid.

"You wouldn't be going to hell, so I guess I'll never see you again. A shame."

His smile dropped as he added enough that his style Ki matched exactly the magnitude necessary to be using 432 styles.

Four times my supposed limit, despite my limit actually being 302.

Despite Knowing I would be eradicated instantly I charged forward.

He clapped his hands together, crazed grin etched in place.

That was the last thing I saw as my last thought was of Miu.

Please, don't go down your father's path.

Don't be like Hanma either.

Don't become a user of Satsujinken.
