21 chapter 20, "Let's go, Honey."

I grabbed the pen next to me and felt Miu stir, I looked up to see Jump-chan be replaced with a two way radio with the talk button my side shoved in so it can't release.

I deadpanned, "Couldn't you have done that the entire time?"

Jump-chan responded with constranation, "Hey! I forgot! Mortals are fragile and I literally forgot these things existed for about 2100 years!"

Miu jolted up in her seat and looked around, "Waazit?" was the first thing that came out of her mouth.

I couldn't help but laugh out loud.

She pouted and began to hit my shoulder.

"Okay, well, now that I'm not so close to your girlfriend that her brain would melt, I'll explain your situation to her." I could literally hear her nod with a smile

I also heard Miu wince.

"Sorry!" The sound of her coughing to clear her throat was heard over the radio and she explained what she explained to me.

"Well, what I can tell you is that the token-"

7 minutes of explanation later, she stopped.

"So what you're saying is, we won't be able to get revenge on Yuujirou for thousands of years?" Miu looked pissed.

Her angry expression seemed to chill and she followed up by saying, "My hatred of him will surely burn much longer."

"Alrighty! Noted! Uchiha level hatred for someone called Yuujirou. Right." I could hear her uncertainty dripping from her.

Muttering to herself, I could hear pen scratching on parchment. "Right, not standard. Gotta update that response divination matrix."

"Okay, so now that the Furinji girl is awake, I just realized I gave you the wrong bodymod supplement. Since you already have the power infused in you, I can't remove it. So when I give you the CORRECT body mod, I will temporarily alter the rules so for this jump only, you will get 1 BP for every 2 CP spent, instead of 1 BP for every 1 CP spent.

"Bonuses are now individual. You are both jumpers since you're in this together." A piece of paper matching the jujutsu kaizen form I was about to fill out before Miu woke up appeared in front of her.

She looked at the terms on the paper with confusion. "I don't know what any of this means." she stated a few moments later.

"Right, I'll give you some meta knowledge related to powers only. I recommend looking at the drawbacks first, and then choosing your perks. There are a few freebies to grab based on your situation." as her words finished, Miu clutched her head for a moment.

"Ow." she grumbled, and then looked down at the page.

We turn to the back of the form and I grin.

"Hey, does 'First Year' affect the body mod or powers we had before the jump?" I ask, a smug grin plastered in place.

"Good catch, body mod is permanent and supersedes all perks. It's also not like I can yoink the style-Ki, Battle aura, training, and martial arts knowledge from your brain and body that you gained before you got to my domain. Those are yours." She reassures me.

I grab 'first-year' for +200 CP and Miu does the same. I notice her grabbing the drawback 'They aren't aware of this' for +200 CP s because she genuinely has no idea about the plot anyway.

I see in the corner of my eye that Miu grabbed 'The maki life' for an additional +100 CP.

Seeing the confusion on my face, she said "We aren't staying, what's the point of getting a promotion? It won't matter in 10 years."

I grab it too, and we move on.

"How many times can I grab 'The monkey'? I really don't care if assassins come for me, it's just another challenge." Miu states.

"Hmm, tell you what. You can take it up to 5 times each and even if you both take it, only 5 assassins will come after you. All of them will still be as strong as Toji in his prime, so this will be hard. Once you get a reputation, you better be careful. Actually taking 'the Maki life' actually gives you more time so good on you.'"

I'm not taking 'jobber syndrome' because having enemies be artificially stronger than me just because I'm fighting them is stupid as hell.

Anything with mind-altering affects as a drawback just squicks me the fuck out so that's a no for the rest of them.

After tallying all that up, Miu has 2500 and I have 2300. I move towards the actual perks section and notice that for me, all the established techniques are grayed out.

Noticing my confusion, Jumpchain speaks up. "No magic or magic-like abilities, remember? Domains are fine because they're like conceptual expressions of your innermost self. So-"

Seeing my deadpan expression of absolute disbelief, she changes her tune. "Okay, fine! I'm making an exception for domains because I think they're cool as fuck. Don't judge me."

I grab domain mastery using -200 points for the fast-track at getting a domain expansion. Because Indeed, they are in fact, cool as fuck.

I see a perk that strikes my interest. I immediately grab it because there is someone here I hate more than any other character in the series and if I face him it will make me strong enough to tear him apart.

I grab 'the words that came deep within my guts' for -600 points because fuck Mahito and fuck that brain cursed spirit.

But especially fuck Mahito in particular.

I apply the trait to cursed spirits for this jump.

Next jump I can pick another race that I can hate for power.

Now any cursed spirits I'm fighting that I hate will increase my power proportional to the hatred I have for them.

Now that I have those things I absolutely must have, I go back and grab the 'human' race and 'the weirdo' origin. I see the prices of the related perks reduce by half and the perks that are 100 points and below become free.

I grab the three free perks of 'anime look' and 'the basic requirements' with 'fight again.'

The weirdo origin allows me to buy 'WILLPOWER!!' for free and 'college grad' as well.

I picked the 'pre-med' course to get a good handle on biology and ways to enhance my Ki healing. I really wish they allowed university level knowledge insertion, but once the conflict with the curses and I eradicate curses from the world, I can just do it normally.

Jump-chan immediately makes a snickering sound but when I look up the walkie talking is silent.

Miu also didn't seem to hear it so I just went back to grabbing perks.

I grab 'One of the three died.' so I can know when people that I consider my allies are in danger and exactly where they are when they are in danger. Another 200 points gone.

I grab 'Stand in the darkness' because I always need more willpower.

I grab 'the rookie' and 'THE TIGER' for that sweet potential and learning speed boost.

I grab 'chosen by the black flash' because that ability is utter and absolute bullshit and anyone with cursed energy should want it if they aren't dumb.

I look at my points and I see 700 left.

I scroll down to the cursed energy amount and have an idea, "How is the cursed energy amount affected by my Ki and battle aura?"

Jump-chan smiles a big smile and says, "You're thinking along the correct lines. Since your style-ki and battle aura are meant to meld seamlessly into other internal power systems, if you activate your style Ki and Battle aura, it will mix together with your Cursed energy, effectively multiplying your base cursed energy. Seeing as cursed energy doesn't grow, this is great advantage because you're multiplying a power system by infusing a power system with two others."

I decided not to change the amount of cursed energy I start with.

I grab 'output' and 'shape' along with 'reverse cursed energy potential'.

I look around the document before I decide to up my potential and see 'Little despairs.'

Honestly, learning how to cook, clean, do taxes, and have the expertise of a normal office worker for any setting I visit seems pretty good.

I grab it for 100 points.

With my last 100 points I shove 100 CP into martial talent via the agreement with Jump-chan.

I finalize my selections and I gain the knowledge of what Miu Picked.

"WHY DID YOU PICK WEIRDO!?" she shouts, utterly baffled. "The only thing there worth anything is the more willpower and the danger tracker!"

"I mean, the free college grade knowledge looked-"

She interrupts me, "It says here the knowledge gained was if you CHEATED to get the degree! You're getting bare basics that you already know from Akisame!"

I turned my head to the two-way radio, only to see 2 more forms along with a note that said, 'All sales are final.'

I sat down, sulking, not even trying to defend myself. "Sorry. I should have paid more attention to the wording."

"Fine." she said. "But no sex for a week."

Utter despair.

I channeled my despair into filling out the premium scaling body-mod. I grabbed it and looked at my 2300 BP.

There's a note at the top that says. 'Everything here is additive to your base abilities. Take your base abilities, and then add a normal weak squishy human. When you are done, take that squishy human, apply the effects of the bodymod to that human and then finally add those effects to the now buff human to you as a permanent effect.'

I grab everything in the basics section for -550 BP.

Then I spend 1350 on the whole peak human section, leaving me with 400 to be selective about the street fighter section.

I grab think fast and supersensory, just in case those assassins decide to snipe us from range.

With that done, I finalize it.

The radio re-appears, and jump-chan's voice comes through.

"Alrighty love birds, time for your action packed vacation number one! Have fun in Tokyo number 2, electric curse-aloo!"

We find ourselves in front of a burning dojo. Luckily despite the sign that says 'Ryozanpaku', it doesn't look even remotely similar to where Miu grew up.

I can see a corpse that was wearing Kensei's clothing,but its facial structure is completely different.

I sigh.

A solemn, "Let's go." comes from Miu.

She walks ahead and I follow.
